If you saw #sheetcaking trending on Twitter Thursday night, it’s all because of Tina Fey. The 47-year-old comedian popped up on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update Summer Edition to say a few not so flattering words about Donald J. Trump and the recent white supremacist rallies in Charlottesville, Virginia. Fey actually lived there while attending the University of Virginia.
“It broke my heart to see these evil forces descend upon Charlottesville, then our president, Donald John Trump — which I don’t think people talk enough about what a stupid, jackass name that is. Donald John? Whatever! He gets away with it because he’s gorgeous,” Tina said.
That was just the tip of the iceberg. “Then Donny John comes out and says that he condemns violence ‘on many sides.’ On many sides, Colin. And I’m feeling sick, ’cause you know, I’ve seen ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, and I wasn’t confused by it. No, Colin, Nazis are always bad, I don’t care what you say.”
She then dished out advice for those planning on participating in rallies scheduled for this coming Saturday. That’s when Tina brought out a cake and went to town on it. Girl loves her cake. At one point, she paired it with a grilled cheese sandwich.
Fey ended the segment, displaying her signature wit. “I really want to encourage all good, sane Americans to treat these rallies this weekend like the opening of a thoughtful movie with two female leads: Don’t show up. Let these morons scream into the empty air.”
