These Kids Wear Crowns Debut “Jumpstart” Video

Last month, I spent a day (and night) with punk/pop band These Kids Wear Crowns filming their music video for their first single Jumpstart of off the album of the same name. So who is this group? TKWC got their Jumpstart on MuchMusic’s hit show disband where they were discovered and with their talent, rocketed to stardom with the tween crowd. Their infused style makes their sound fresh and radio ready.

These boys from Chilliwack, BC are so nice. During the entire shoot, they took their time to meet the fans who were extras in the video and took pictures and talked with them at any chance they had. You have to admire a band that doesn’t forget where they came from. The song is on Canadian radio and already getting some serious airplay. There’s no doubt, people are loving this track.

Their very first single Break It Up performed well along with their debut album. This single has been climbing the charts and now with the video being released, its sure to be a hit. The concept is that Alex (the lead singer) finds a glove on the street and when he puts it on and touches things, they change from drab to fab making everything colorful and bright.

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from the day.

Dancers and extras getting ready to parade through some cars with the band.

Kathryn, Daniela, Christina and Ayah posing in their bright attire.

Joey and Brett in their post-glove suits.

Ali, Adam and Mackenzie ready to shoot some hoops.

No, Patrick didn’t beat me up. I am about to be revived from a car accident.

The scene of the accident. I laid on that stretcher in the cold for a long time.

Did you spot me? I’m the dead guy come to life on the stretcher and then the guy in yellow doing the backflip at the end. What did you think? Yay or Nay for the video. For more info on their tour with Fefe Dobson and more, check out www.thesekidswearcrowns.com.
