I'm not the best at being vulnerable but there is no better time to start than now… I have been losing motivation to workout the past 14 months and started to lose sight of what was truly important to me, you might ask how could this happen? It's a great question that I asked myself but only came up with surface answers until God asked me the question: "Are you getting into the fitness industry for your own personal intentions or to be a beacon of light that can truly help others?" I truly want to help others from the bottom of my heart but in the deep dark rooted places there's a burning desire to do it for personal gain. If I'm being honest with myself I know those deep rooted intentions are not me, but they exist! I wanted to know why, so I had many conversations with Jesus and wise counsel to help me identify what those feelings were. I came to find out that it was my outside environment building up desires inside me that were taking my focus off my savior Jesus Christ. It was also my lack of self control and inability to sensor the overload of social media, tv, strategic marketing campaigns, and need vs want. I talk openly about this topic because I know I'm not alone in this struggle. I'm tired of wearing the masks that we all should be familiar with, "I'm sad but I'm going to act happy" , "I'm overwhelmed but I'm going to look like I got it all figured out" , "I need help but I'm going to act strong." Those are just a few of the masks I wear but no more! I'm thankful Jesus has graciously shown me clarity for my life, my focus won't be just physical appearance but more in the order of spirit, mind, and then body. Thanks everyone for inspiring me along the way. Today forward you will get to see a more vulnerable look into my story which you will see has many similarities to your's. Our views might be different but just know that your loved!

Validation was something I used to seek from others to fulfill myself worth. No matter what walk of life we have lived I feel we all share a sense of loneliness and wanting to be loved. In the recent years it finally caught up to me that I didn't love myself. So why share this vulnerability today while I am sitting shirtless? Because I have finally come to the conclusion in my life that we all are judged by our peers with our shirt on or our shirt off, with freckles or without freckles, blonde hair or brown hair, big boobs or small boobs, and the list goes on. So the truth is I would be judged either way and it's hot outside so I don't feel like wearing a shirt ? have a great day and stay cool ? if you feel like today's post would help someone please SHARE!
