Pink kicked off her new era with the anthemic “What About Us.” It marked her return to the spotlight after a few years away. The 37-year-old powerhouse just shared another taste off her forthcoming seventh studio album, and it’s even more fantastic than the lead cut.
“Beautiful Trauma” is the title track off the LP. She co-wrote it with Jack Antonoff who also produced the track. It starts off as a stripped-down ballad before kicking into a kick-ass beat. In fact, its vibe is very similar to Antonoff’s band .fun. Pink tweeted the reason behind the track and album’s name. It’s because “life is f*cking traumatic. But it’s also incredibly beautiful, too. There’s a lot of beauty still and beautiful souls.”
I’m already obsessed. It sorta reminds me a bit of Pink’s other collaboration with a .fun member- “Just Give Me a Reason” with Nate Ruess. Give it a listen below.
