Just because you win a televised singing competition, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee a recording career. Luckily for Louisa Johnson, the youngest winner of The X Factor UK, she’s managed to parlay success on the show to the real world. The 19-year-old Series 12 winner already has a couple hits on her hands.
Johnson’s coronation song “Forever Young” cracked the Top 10 in the UK and so did her killer Clean Bandit featured spot, “Tears.” Her last single, “So Good,” performed decently as well. I have a feeling though, her new offering will be her biggest hit yet.
“Best Behaviour” was written by Danny Parker (Shawn Mendes “Stitches”) and Shungudzo Kuyimba (Little Mix “Touch”). It’s sassy, funky and sexy with its dancehall-light beat. Unlike “So Good,” the lyrics here are more age appropriate for the budding pop princess. Young and fresh and not overly serious. Give it a spin below.
