Freedom! ’90” from George Michael is one of the most iconic videos from the 90s, if not of all-time. Supermodels Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatjana Patitz, Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford absolutely slayed in the stylish clip. 26 years later, Crawford recreates her memorable bathtub scene and proves she’s found the Fountain of Youth. It’s insane that she looks practically the same. #dealwiththedevil

The trip down memory lane was to assist Zachary Quinto for his Lip Sync Battle performance of the Michael classic. When the promo came out, I assumed it would be Missy Elliott that would be his secret weapon for “Get Ur Freak On.” This was a pleasant surprise. LSB co-host Chrissy Teigen also got in on the action and left her booth to copy Turlington’s part in the video.

Watch Quinto’s performance below, along with Zoe Saldana’s turn as Left Eye for TLC’s “No Scrubs.” The latter brought out T-Boz and Chilli as her special guest. It was definitely 90s night on the Spike musical competition.

Lip Sync Battle is about to go intergalactic. The Spike TV show will air an one-hour special next Thursday featuring an epic battle between Star Trek Beyond’s Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto. It’s going to be one for the ages for sure.

Based on the quick teaser, Saldana definitely didn’t just come to play. She brought on TLC’s Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas to join her during one of her performances. Gotta say, Zoe does a decent job of channeling her inner Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Someone really wants to win.

If Quinto wants to beat Saldana, hopefully he also has a celebrity cameo up his sleeves. I wouldn’t be surprised if Missy Elliott popped up. After all, he attempts to dress up as the “Get Ur Freak On” rapper. Attempt being the operative word. Quinto should never do drag again 😉 Check out the promo below.

From the Academy Award-winning director responsible for Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July, Wall Street and JFK comes another dramatic thriller tackling a touchy subject- controversial figure Edward Snowden. Based on the first look, Oliver Stone appears to have another winner on his hands.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays the former Central Intelligence Agency employee who copied and leaked classified information from the National Security Agency and subsequently disclosed his findings. He’s been called a hero, a whistleblower, a dissident, a patriot, and a traitor to name a few. Snowden currently has asylum in Russia, living in an undisclosed location.

Snowden Movie Synopsis

Snowden, the politically-charged, pulse-pounding thriller starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley, reveals the incredible untold personal story of Edward Snowden, the polarizing figure who exposed shocking illegal surveillance activities by the NSA and became one of the most wanted men in the world. He is considered a hero by some, and a traitor by others. No matter which you believe, the epic story of why he did it, who he left behind, and how he pulled it off makes for one of the most compelling films of the year.

Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Rhys Ifans, Nicolas Cage, Scott Eastwood, Timothy Olyphant and Tom Wilkinson round out the cast. Snowden infiltrates theaters on September 16. Check out the exciting first trailer below.

Star Trek Beyond Releases First Teaser Trailer

In: Donovan, Movies

After directing the first two Star Trek reboots, J.J. Abrams steps down from the directing chair. He still, however, stays on as producer. Stepping into his place is Fast and Furious maestro, Justin Lin. Based on the first piece of footage, it appears the Lin era will be more comedic in tone. Smart move considering the lackluster reviews of Star Trek Into Darkness.

Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin and John Cho all return to reprise their respective Trekkie role. Joining the franchise as this instalment’s villain is Idris Elba.

Check out the first teaser clip below which is set to the Beastie Boys 1994 hit, “Sabotage.” In addition to having a more lighthearted vibe, it seems Lin has amped up the action as well. Buckle up because the new film is going full warp speed ahead.

Star Trek Beyond beams into theaters on July 22, 2016. Check out the trailer below.

Zachary Quinto sold his Loz Feliz home in Los Angeles late last year. With most of his gigs now in New York, the 37-year-old actor has packed up and made the move to the East coast.

Unlike his Girls character though, Quinto opted for Manhattan instead of Brooklyn like his television character. He reportedly dropped $3,162,500 on a stylish 2,300 square-foot loft which he’ll live in with his boyfriend Miles McMillan and their two rescue dogs- Noah and Skunk.

The pictures below of the property were probably taken when the previous owners lived there. Unless Zachary is hiding the fact he has a kid. LOL. It’s slickly decorated but it’s the architectural details that are stunning, especially the ceiling detail. Check out the gorgeous pad below.

Imagine having Cher on your outgoing voicemail message asking your friends to leave a message after the tone, ending with her signature “WOAH!” Personally, I would die. For the low price of $299, the “Woman’s World” singer will do just that.

The advocacy group Autism Speaks has corralled several celebrities including Bryan Cranston, Adam West, Jack Black, Peter Dinklage, Jim Parsons, Mark Hamill, Zachary Quinto, Michael Dorn and Vin Scully to name a few to record a 20-second-long customized message all for the sake of charity.

From Oct. 7 to Oct. 13, a limited number of MP3 messages you write will be recorded by each celebrity on a first-come, first-served basis for fans to do with as they wish. Naturally, all requests must be of the PG nature. So don’t expect Quinto to record sweet dirty nothings on your voicemail. I’m sure he’d do it for free if you’re his type 😉

Last year’s effort which featured Betty White, Will Ferrell and Patrick Stewart to name a few recorded about 342 messages, raising roughly $100,000. The initiative is the brainchild of Ed Asner (The Mary Tyler Show) and his son Matt who works for Autism Speaks. Check out a few of the recordings from last year below.

First Jane Lynch filed for divorce and now another Glee relationship bites the dust. Jonathan Groff who appeared on the FOX show for the first couple of seasons and his Trekkie boyfriend, Zachary Quinto, are calling it quits after a year-long relationship. Reportedly, the split is amicable and no salacious extra-curricular bedroom activities were to blame. Rather, it was their busy schedules that caused the split.

“Zach being away and filming was not easy on them,” US Weekly’s source says. “Now he’s going to be in New York with his new play [“The Glass Menagerie”]. They really loved each other, so it wasn’t an easy split.” “It just ran its course,” the source adds.

Groff (28) is currently filming the TV movie, The Normal Heart for Ryan Murphy, and has a lead role in an upcoming HBO gay comedy. Quinto (36) was most recently seen on the big screen in Star Trek Into Darkness. No word on whether or not he’ll appear on the third iteration of American Horror Story but chances are pretty good he’ll at least make a cameo. Murphy loves him and cast Zach for the first two seasons.

Since they’re both on the market now, I thought I’d pit these two against each other in our latest Who’d You Rather battle. After all, I’m sure they’ll be competing with each other for those hookers on Grindr trying to get some celebrity ass play. Check out solo pictures of them below, along with the couple during happier times. Be sure to cast your vote afterwards.

Movie Review: Star Trek Into Darkness

In: Movies, Tommy D

We’ve finally arrived to the release date of one of the most anticipated movies of the year. It is the sequel to the mega blockbuster Star Trek a few ago, this one titled Star Trek: Into Darkness.

I didn’t know much of this movie before I stepped into the theater and I think that was the point. That seems to be happening a lot with the big blockbusters this year. Iron Man 3 was vague, as is Man of Steel, Star Trek was no different. The only thing you knew from the previews is that this movie looked epic, and it absolutely was.
