Zachary Quinto sold his Loz Feliz home in Los Angeles late last year. With most of his gigs now in New York, the 37-year-old actor has packed up and made the move to the East coast.
Unlike his Girls character though, Quinto opted for Manhattan instead of Brooklyn like his television character. He reportedly dropped $3,162,500 on a stylish 2,300 square-foot loft which he’ll live in with his boyfriend Miles McMillan and their two rescue dogs- Noah and Skunk.
The pictures below of the property were probably taken when the previous owners lived there. Unless Zachary is hiding the fact he has a kid. LOL. It’s slickly decorated but it’s the architectural details that are stunning, especially the ceiling detail. Check out the gorgeous pad below.
Imagine having Cher on your outgoing voicemail message asking your friends to leave a message after the tone, ending with her signature “WOAH!” Personally, I would die. For the low price of $299, the “Woman’s World” singer will do just that.
The advocacy group Autism Speaks has corralled several celebrities including Bryan Cranston, Adam West, Jack Black, Peter Dinklage, Jim Parsons, Mark Hamill, Zachary Quinto, Michael Dorn and Vin Scully to name a few to record a 20-second-long customized message all for the sake of charity.
From Oct. 7 to Oct. 13, a limited number of MP3 messages you write will be recorded by each celebrity on a first-come, first-served basis for fans to do with as they wish. Naturally, all requests must be of the PG nature. So don’t expect Quinto to record sweet dirty nothings on your voicemail. I’m sure he’d do it for free if you’re his type ;)
Last year’s effort which featured Betty White, Will Ferrell and Patrick Stewart to name a few recorded about 342 messages, raising roughly $100,000. The initiative is the brainchild of Ed Asner (The Mary Tyler Show) and his son Matt who works for Autism Speaks. Check out a few of the recordings from last year below.
First Jane Lynch filed for divorce and now another Glee relationship bites the dust. Jonathan Groff who appeared on the FOX show for the first couple of seasons and his Trekkie boyfriend, Zachary Quinto, are calling it quits after a year-long relationship. Reportedly, the split is amicable and no salacious extra-curricular bedroom activities were to blame. Rather, it was their busy schedules that caused the split.
“Zach being away and filming was not easy on them,” US Weekly’s source says. “Now he’s going to be in New York with his new play ["The Glass Menagerie"]. They really loved each other, so it wasn’t an easy split.” “It just ran its course,” the source adds.
Groff (28) is currently filming the TV movie, The Normal Heart for Ryan Murphy, and has a lead role in an upcoming HBO gay comedy. Quinto (36) was most recently seen on the big screen in Star Trek Into Darkness. No word on whether or not he’ll appear on the third iteration of American Horror Story but chances are pretty good he’ll at least make a cameo. Murphy loves him and cast Zach for the first two seasons.
Since they’re both on the market now, I thought I’d pit these two against each other in our latest Who’d You Rather battle. After all, I’m sure they’ll be competing with each other for those hookers on Grindr trying to get some celebrity ass play. Check out solo pictures of them below, along with the couple during happier times. Be sure to cast your vote afterwards.
We’ve finally arrived to the release date of one of the most anticipated movies of the year. It is the sequel to the mega blockbuster Star Trek a few ago, this one titled Star Trek: Into Darkness.
I didn’t know much of this movie before I stepped into the theater and I think that was the point. That seems to be happening a lot with the big blockbusters this year. Iron Man 3 was vague, as is Man of Steel, Star Trek was no different. The only thing you knew from the previews is that this movie looked epic, and it absolutely was.
That title sounds a tad dirty, doesn’t it? I’m sure Zachary Quinto’s boyfriend Jonathan Groff isn’t that dark down there… or there… or even there ;)
August Man once again taps the Star Trek Into Darkness actor to cover their publication. The 35-year-old must be a huge hit in Malaysia. Photographed by Chiun-Kai Shih, Quinto wears fitted suits, knits and other fashionable fare for his latest editorial. In the issue, he talks about American Horror Story, exploring more roles and his dark side. Check out his spread below along with a few quotes from the publication.
“It is interesting because every season you have a different story. It is rewarding because it is so innovating in the way the stories are structured. It’s really exciting.”
Dog Eat Dog is a short film based on the true story of how actor/producer Zachary Quinto finally adopted his first dog in a Los Angeles Animal Shelter. During the events of his hilarious trials in attempting to adopt a shelter animal, Sian Heder, the film’s director was apparently there with him and taking notes about the whole thing to make a good dinner party story. After the story was told many times, it eventually evolved into the script. The film is described as “a twisted, fun, morality tale about the lengths to which some of us will go in order to get what we want.”
Zachary Quinto said, “We are excited to be sharing Dog Eat Dog with Petsami. This story is very close to all of us, as we have all rescued or fostered dogs over the years. The story of the film is an exaggerated account of how I eventually found my rescue dog Noah, but it still reflects a bit of the reality I faced when I was looking to adopt a shelter dog. Additionally, we are incredibly honored to have Philip Baker Hall and Sharon Wilkins, both pet lovers themselves, join us to make the film.”
Dog Eat Dog also really serves as a reminder of how there are so many dogs that need a home – one with a responsible, loving owner. Watch the cute and funny short film below.
What a great way to kick off the week! Earlier this month, the poster and first teaser trailer for Star Trek: Into The Darkness was revealed. Today, the first full trailer has just been released and the movie looks epic! The intensity and music in the trailer reminds me of the newly released Zach Snyder trailer for Man of Steel. So many good movies in 2013!!
In case you don’t already know, here’s the premise of this upcoming new J.J. Abrams film: “When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated everything the fleet stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a “one man weapon of mass destruction.”
In this trailer, we here Pike (Bruce Greenwood) tell Kirk, “There’s greatness in you, but not an ounce of humility. But there’s going to come a moment when you’re wrong about that. And you’re going to get yourself, and everyone under your command, killed.” The film stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, and Zoe Saldana and hits theatres May 17, 2013. Enjoy the first full length trailer below.
What is a Hollywood Maverick in the eyes of Details magazine? They are innovators, risk-takers and big thinkers changing the face of entertainment. “Writers are becoming directors, directors are becoming moguls, actors are becoming all of the above instead of lying around praying for a spin-off.” The publication decided to honor these individuals for their December 2012 issue.
Leonardo DiCaprio received the big honor of gracing the cover, but he’s not the only one being recognized for his big ideas. Chris Colfer for his work as a writer, director and executive producer on Struck By Lightning is being hailed a Career Opportunist. His initiative for writing his next project rather than waiting on the sidelines is the reason why he’s being singled out.
Zachary Quinto is featured in the Creative Collectives category alongside his fellow Margin Call filmmakers. The New Normal’s Andrew Rannells made the Survivors list with Chris Messina for making it big after years of casting calls. Details named John Krasinski as the Idea Man, while Pitch Perfect’s Rebel Wilson is being hailed as The Next Big Thing. Check out their photos snapped by Doug Inglish below.
