The official trailer for The Hangover Part III has landed and we’ve got it for you to check out below. Not only that, but the first poster for the film has been released (as shown above) and as you may have figured out, it’s a parody of the poster for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 where Harry Potter is facing off with Lord Voldermort. As the poster says, “It all ends here.”
You’d think that by now they’ve done it all and learned from their mistakes but no. Here’s the official synopsis for this film: “This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.”
The beginning of the trailer already had me laughing and I’m definitely excited about seeing the conclusion to this trilogy. The film hits theaters on May 24, 2013. Watch the trailer below!
Every now and then, Zach Galifianakis does a hilariously awkward faux interview segment on Funny Or Die with celebrities and this week, the actor/comedian takes on some of the biggest names in Hollywood that are in the running for Oscars this season in Between Two Ferns: Oscar Buzz Edition.
The actors he interviews include: Amy Adams, Anne Hathaway, Bradley Cooper, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts, and Sally Field.
If you’ve every scene an episode of Between Two Ferns, you’ll know that these actors are pretty much walking into a trap and are not walking into a conventional interview. Galifianakis doesn’t give them the respect their used to by other interviewers and asks some really embarrassing and off topic questions. Hathaway shows up drunk for her interview, Jennifer Lawrence puts him in his place, and Bradley Cooper and him have a huge fight. Watch the hilarious interviews below.
The Campaign, starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifiankis, hits theatres today. A comedic tale about the dirty side of American politics, it sure as hell doesn’t get my vote. This is another case of tired actors playing the same characters we always see while using vulgarity and obscenity versus intelligence and wit to generate humour. It’s played out.
The film follows two rival politicians, incumbent Camden Brady (Ferrell) and newcomer Martin Huggins (Galifianakis) who are trying to win an election to represent their North Carolina district in the United States House of Representatives. Huggins is chosen as a pawn by two extremely wealthy brothers looking to sell part of the state to China to import Chinese labourers and save on shipping costs.
The trailer for a very interesting documentary called ‘Craigslist Joe‘ has just come out and you definitely have to check it out. I actually heard about it from fellow writer Matt but I didn’t want to have to wait for him to write a post before sharing it with you. LOL.
Here a bit of background to the film: “In a time when America’s economy was crumbling and sense of community was in question, one guy left everything behind to see if he could survive solely on the support and goodwill of the 21st century’s new town square: Craigslist.” That’s right, he literally has to eat, sleep, travel etc. solely depending on Craigslist. As you’d expect, he faces some major challenges but it looks as though the experience is really eye-opening and perhaps even life-changing for him.
The film was executive produced by Zach Galifianakis, but this documentary is no joke. Watch the trailer below and keep an eye out for it in theatres when it comes out on August 2.
Seems like perfect timing for a film like this. Who would you vote for: Will Ferrell or Zach Galifianakis? Well, perhaps you should watch the movie trailer for ‘The Campaign‘ below first and get to know their characters and what they each stand for. Here’s the premise of the film:
“When long-term congressman Cam Brady (Will Ferrell) commits a major public gaffe before an upcoming election, a pair of ultra-wealthy CEOs plot to put up a rival candidate and gain influence over their North Carolina district. Their man: naive Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis), director of the local Tourism Center. At first, Marty appears to be the unlikeliest possible choice but, with the help of his new benefactors’ support, a cutthroat campaign manager and his family’s political connections, he soon becomes a contender who gives the charismatic Cam plenty to worry about.”
The trailer below shows both of their campaign videos and a satisfying preview of what we can expect from these two funny men in the film. Mary Huggins campaign slogan is “Isn’t it time to give Washington a Huggins?” LOL. In another scene, Cam Brady says, “Education is our future cuz schools is this nation’s backbone.” HA! ‘The Campaign’ hits theaters on August 10. Check out the trailer below.
Given that I co-own a men’s skin care & grooming product storefront and web store, this documentary is right up my alley: From the people that brought you the ‘Supersize Me‘ documentary and executive producers Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Ben Silverman, we get to see a hilarious look at men’s identity in the 21st century in this upcoming on ‘Mansome‘ film.
The synopsis reads, “In the age of manscaping, metrosexuals, fancy men’s day spas, and high-end grooming products galore, “Mansome” is a witty, provocative and highly-entertaining glimpse into what it means to be a man in a world where the definition of masculinity has become as diverse as a hipster’s facial hair in Williamsburg. With his signature humor and insight, Spurlock combs over the follicles of men’s idiosyncratic grooming habits, opening up a dialogue about men’s unique approach to self image.”
In addition to Will Arnett and Jason Bateman, the film also stars Morgan Spurlock, Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis, Adam Carolla, Judd Apatow, and John Waters. Various models, actors, experts and comedians also weigh in on what it is to be a man in today’s world. The film hits theaters for a limited release on May 18.
Over the weekend, Will Ferrell was awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Award at a star-studded ceremony in Washington, D.C. In winning this award, he follows in the footsteps of Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, and Bill Cosby. When accepting the award, Ferrell said to the audience, “It’s about time” as he dropped it, shattering it into pieces (it was a fake one).“If my children try to touch this, I will beat them,” he joked while trying to put it back together.
Now, a new Funny or Die video has just been released where several stars read a personal letter they received from Will Ferrell. In fact…they all received the same letter, but only the name was changed. The only person to figure this out is Larry David, and he is not a happy camper. The other stars to receive the letter include: Amy Poehler, Christina Applegate, Maya Rudolph, Zach Galifianakis, Sarah Silverman, Eva Mendes, and Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite). Watch the hilarious video below.
Princess Leia watch out. There’s a new HBIC (head bitch in charge) in town. Emma Stone donned on ear mufflers to mimic the Star Wars heroine for a new parody. The “Easy A” actress was one of many celebrities to take part in the latest campaign for “Stand Up 2 Cancer“- a charitable organization to raise awareness for cancer research. Stone’s comic abilities definitely shine in the video.
Joining Stone in the clip are Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Hader, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Jaime King and Samuel L. Jackson. The celebs either recite and recreate infamous scenes or mimic a few of the memorable characters. Hands down my favorite is Bill Hader’s impression of Tauntaun. It’ll have you on the floor laughing (if you’re a Stars Wars geek like me). If you want to fast forward to it, it begins at 1:50. As always, Ken Jeong also provides a couple of laughs. The “Hangover” star takes on Vader and Lando Calrissian.
