This past weekend, a bunch of the Homorazzi crew headed up to Whistler, B.C. for our annual adventure at WinterPRIDE. This was the 21st Annual WinterPRIDE and was as always was a ton of fun.

Skiing & snowboarding during the day, attending to the daily apres events that follow, and finishing off each night with one or more of the many insanely fun parties that were put on was how we spent our time. Whether making a splash at the pool party, meeting the new Mr. Gay Canada (from Saskatchewan), chatting with porn star Brent Everett, or dancing up a (snow)storm on the dancefloor, good times were had by all. It was so awesome to spend time with friends and also meet so many of our readers from all over the world!

Check out the video montage of our experience this year, as well as our album of photos from the events. We’ve also included our videos from the last two years as well… just in case you aren’t convinced that you should be there next year. Enjoy!

Well, it’s definitely that time of year if Adam is talking about hitting the slopes for some nice relaxing trips down the blue runs and a couple of black diamonds before ending it all with a nice long relaxing wind down Grandfather’s Trail… I’m kidding of course: it’s time to head up to Whistler to PARTY! While I loves me some skiing, I focus on what Gay Ski Week up in Vancouver’s iconic and pristine Whistler Resort does best in February and that’s BOYS, BOOZE and MORE BOYS AND BOOZE. I know, I sound like a crazed bar star but there’s just something about the gathering of hundreds to thousands of gay sexy men gathering from all over the globe for a week/weekend of fun no matter how you define it. And, the Celebrities Snowstorm party is often seen as the height of sexuality and sin for the whole shabang. It’s an annual tradition that can’t be missed.

Though over the years the location and performers involved have evolved slightly, the core of the party has remained strong and that’s to offer a less “drop n’ dance till 8AM” meet up, and more of an ultimate club night for you and your friends to relax, drink and boogie with other hot, hot men. I’ve honestly never had anything but the best of times at these parties and that’s mainly due to the atmosphere of chill fun and the friends I’ve attended it with. While the week/weekend up in Whistler may have you split from others due to skiing/snowboarding schedules or hangovers or the need to sit in a hot tub and soak in the surroundings, Snowstorm is THE place to be come Friday night so it’s a great place to rest assured you’ll see you buds and that hottie from the slopes you almost ran over. This year’s performers are a mix of names I know very well and ones I’m looking forward to testing out but rest assured that no one will be able to say this party didn’t bring it- if past years are any indication at all!

WinterPRIDE 2013 is only six weeks away, with this being the 21st Annual Gay Ski Week in Whistler, B.C. A bunch of us here at Homorazzi actually started attending back in 2009 and that’s actually where we came up with the name for what would be known as “Homorazzi” one year later. We always have such a blast, and the last couple years we’ve even captured our experiences in video recaps. Patrick and Adam actually once spent the entire week at WinterPRIDE and had an unforgettable time meeting people from all over the world and attending some incredibly fun parties and apres skis. Homorazzi will be there again this year and we definitely want to see YOU there too!

Every year, there are different performers and events to look forward to and this year there is no exception. The winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, the amazing Chad Michaels will be there to perform and the headlining DJ for the week is DJ Paul Goodyear. In addition, one of the sexiest and most popular porn stars around, Brent Everett will also be on the mountain and appearing at various events.

Without further delay, check out the Top 10 Reasons why you and your friends should get your ski bums in gear and start planning to be at WinterPRIDE 2013 taking place this coming February 3 – February 10 in Whistler, B.C..

Top 10 Reasons after the jump…

It’s never too early to start planning your post New Year fun. Thought this would appeal to those who are snow bunnies or love looking at hot gay men swooshing down the hill. I’ve never been to Aspen Gay Ski Week, but if it’s half as much fun as Whistler’s WinterPride, then sign me up. I’ve always wanted to check out the scenic and historic mountain town of Aspen, Colorado. Maybe 2013 will be the time I finally do that.

Aspen Gay Ski Week is the largest and oldest gay ski week event in the United States. The 36th annual festival runs from January 13 to 20, 2013. This year, The Price is Right host Drew Carey is joining in on the fun. The comic will perform at the historic Wheeler Opera House as part of the nightly events throughout the week.

This year, proceeds from the event will benefit GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network), the Trevor Project, the Point Foundation, and the local program TEACH (Teachers Empowering Agents of Change), the Western Colorado AIDS Project, the Gender Identity Center of Colorado, as well as local schools of the Roaring Fork Valley.

“Back by popular demand is the ‘mountaintop party,’ accessible only by a moonlit gondola ride up Aspen Mountain, to an elevation of 11,000 feet. Once there, guests dance the night away at high altitude,” says Todd Heimel, board president of Roaring Fork Gay and Lesbian Community Fund. I know that was my favorite part of WinterPride years ago. Whether you’re a skier or non-skier, “There is something for everyone at Aspen Gay Ski Week,” adds Heimel. Check out a few of the scheduled events below.

Well, another ski week has come and gone and so far nothing burns when I pee so let’s declare this one a total success! I didn’t end up meeting my international prince charming so not a TOTAL conquest, but low drama, high fun and minimal hangovers definitely score big time in my books so I’ve got nothing but great things to say re: this year’s WinterPRIDE.

Interestingly, about 4 years ago to the day was the first ever post I published on Homorazzi and how things have changed! But, what hasn’t are my closest friends and co-owners of the site: Donovan and Patrick who came up en masse with a throng of razzi writers (Tyrell, Nic, Tommy, Rich, Stephen and Jonny) to enjoy the festivities to their fullest. True, a maxed out gay ski week experience starts the Sunday earlier but busy lives and jobs prevail so we restricted our adventures to this past weekend and boy did we make up for lost time!

This year, is celebrating the 20 year anniversary of WinterPRIDE in Whistler, B.C. and you should be there to celebrate! Boasting one of the biggest gay ski weeks in the world, WinterPRIDE is jam packed with fun activities and events, some of the world’s best terrain, and of course hotties from all over the world looking to meet new people. What more could you ask for?

WinterPRIDE is extra special to Homorazzi because that is where we came up with the name, before the site was even launched. Cast member Topher had passed out early, before we had even gone out and all of us started taking pictures of him… like the paparazzi homo-razzi. (Special thanks to Topher for inspiration!) Since then, we’ve made it an annual tradition to take part in the festivities and this year will be no different.

With that, we’d like to share some of our recommendations and tips to surviving WinterPRIDE 2012.

This past weekend, the cast of Homorazzi took on WinterPride in Whistler, B.C. It was a fun filled weekend (more on what we got up in an upcoming article & video) but on our way back home to Vancouver on Sunday, we had one thing left to do: Bungee Jumping at Whistler Bungee, located 15 minutes south of Whistler Village. Whistler Bungee has a perfect safety record and their jump masters and operators have over 25 years experience!!! It’s good to know you’ll be in safe hands.

After having a late brunch on our way out of the village, Donovan, Brian, Nic, his bf Tyler, Tyrell, myself and our Seattle friends Trevor and Chris headed out to Whistler Bungee. Who was going to be jumping? Nic and our friend Trevor. I myself had done it several summers ago and was in no rush to jump off a bridge again anytime soon, despite how much fun I had. When we arrived, we met up with several of our other friends that had already commenced operation “jump off a bridge”. The setting for Whistler Bungee is breathtaking, set on a bridge spanning 300 ft across and 160ft above the Cheakamus River, with old growth forests and rugged basalt column cliffs all around you. It truly is stunning, and with the snow covering the area, it felt like we were in Narnia.

It was so much fun watching cast member Nic, his boyfriend Tyler (who took another one of our friend’s spot who had bailed at the last minute…ahem…David), and cast member Jonny‘s boyfriend Kodie, along with so many of our other close friends take the jump of a lifetime. Watch the video below to check out our experience at Whistler Bungee.

Well everybody and their (gay) Mother were up in Whistler this past weekend for WinterPRIDE 2011, and although all the festivities were just hunky dory, a few of us (Brian, Donovan, Tyler, & Trevor) got to experience a healthy and wholesome side of Whistler (in sharp contrast to most of the weekend), and go tubing at Whistler Blackcomb’s Coca Cola Tube Park.

Firstly, we definitely had no idea what age group to expect, asking ourselves if we would be the only ones over twelve, but lo-and-behold, ends up everybody likes to slide down a hill at 52km/hr (yes, thanks to a great app we found out). The crowd ranged from toddlers with parents going down the junior hill, to a rowdy and partying group of foreigners, Fireball in tow and freely pouring. I definitely DO not RECOMMEND that YOU BRING any ALCOHOL with you, but some might.
