Just like my Model Behavior feature, I’m making a return to sharing my weekly Man Crushes after a month-long sabbatical. With the new television season around the corner what better time to objectify some of Fall TV’s hunky men. Originally, I had another stud in mind, but the second I watched the pilot episode of The New Normal, I was instantly in crush.
Meet Jayson Blair. The 28-year-old actor plays Clay Clemmens, a cheating boyfriend caught in the act, on the new NBC sitcom. Hopefully, he’ll make more appearances later in the season, shirtless of course. Prior to showing his “gherkin” on The New Normal, Blair appeared on the now-defunct MTV series, The Hard Times of RJ Berger. On that show he played a bullying in-the-closet jock. The scene where he hooks up with another guy in the showers is kinda hot.
Jayson’s other acting credits include roles on 2 Broke Girls, The Closer, Heroes, Glee and Rizzoli & Isles. He’s also dabbled in commercials appearing in ads for Taco Bell, Honda Civic and Pizza Hut. Get to know this stud better in several photos below. Be sure to watch the montage clip at the end. It features the aforementioned shower hookup on the MTV show.
“Sparkle” may not have been as amazing as “Dreamgirls“, but it did leave me with one hot lasting impression. The second I walked out of the theater, I knew immediately Omari Hardwick would be my latest Man Crush. This 38-year-old actor oozed manly sexiness every time he appeared on the screen. How anyone could throw him to the curb is absolute craziness? Have you seen those muscles hiding underneath that shirt in the picture above? Watch “Sparkle” and you’ll see Jordin Sparks’ on-screen big sister make this grave mistake.
Hardwick was born in Savannah, Georgia on January 9, 1974. Prior to appearing in Whitney Houston’s last film, the actor starred in Spike Lee’s “Miracle at St. Anna”, “The A-Team” remake with Bradley Cooper and Tyler Perry’s “For Colored Girls“. Omar has also worked on the small screen on such shows as “CSI: Miami” and NBC’s “Chase“.
You’d be surprised to know he’s an accomplished poet. In 2003 and 2004, he placed in the top five at the National Poetry Slam. Given that muscular frame of his, it’s no shocker he’s a natural athlete. He played football in high school, college and even briefly for the San Diego Chargers. Sadly, a knee injury cut his professional NFL career short. A philantrophist, he supports youth-violence prevention and anti-bullying organizations. Get to know this stud more in pictures below.
This week’s Man Crush has appeared in minor roles on several television shows including, “The Middle”, “90210″, “The Hills” and “Cougar Town”. But it’s his role on ABC’s “Baby Daddy” that is getting Derek Theler noticed. It’s about time. This sexy beast can be my baby daddy anytime he wants. GROWL.
Born in Fort Collins, Colorado, Theler grew up playing sports and graduated from Colorado State with a degree in pre-medicine. This blue-eyed hunk appeared in several commercials for such brands like Nike, Coke Zero, State Farm, Kayak and Arbys. Currently, he can be seen in a Verizon ad. He, and his “little guy“, were even featured in an anti-ball Funny or Die clip starring Katherine Heigl. Check it out. He’s wearing only a bow tie and underwear. Yummers.
In his downtime, Derek enjoys swimming, playing football and riding his motorcycle. Vroom, vroom. I’m ready to ride bitch if he’s looking for a road trip companion ;) Get to know this heartthrob below. You won’t regret it.
Patrick first wrote about this week’s Man Crush a couple of months ago, but Brenton Thwaites is so damn hot I had to feature him in my weekly series. Plus, I do love my Aussie boys, especially after visiting the Land Down Under earlier this year. If you like your Bel Ami buff porn stars with some One Direction boy band appeal, you’ll appreciate this piece of legal eye candy.
Thwaites won an international search to play the male lead in the television remake of “The Blue Lagoon“. The original 1980 motion picture instantly propelled Brooke Shields and Christopher Atkins to superstardom. Unfortunately for Brenton, I don’t think the Lifetime adaptation will do the same. The remake has nothing on the original and not just because Thwaites doesn’t do full frontal like Atkins did. You’d think with Denise Richards of “Wild Things” fame as part of the cast, the film would venture off to softcore porn. Sadly, no junk shots of Brenton, but what he does show off is quite nice. There are plenty of pictures below to prove my point.
This 23-year-old actor was born in Cairns, Queensland. His acting career kicked off into high gear when he landed a recurring role in Australia’s long-running soap opera, “Home and Away“. Even though “Blue Lagoon: The Awakening” won’t make him a household name, it’s a good starting point for his North American debut. Brenton can next be seen playing the young Prince Charming in “Maleficient” starring Angelina Jolie in the titular role, set to hit theaters on March 14, 2014.
I was channel surfing the other day and noticed this week’s Man Crush in a movie trailer. Instantly, I became smitten with Ryan Guzman. Frequent readers of Homorazzi.com know I have a thing for hot guys with some serious hip-hop swagger. And Guzman has it oozing out of his pores. The 6-foot-tall stud is starring in “Step Up Revolution“- the fourth installment of the popular dance film franchise.
Naturally, he’s being compared to Channing Tatum, with some predicting he could follow Tatum’s footsteps to super stardom. Personally, I hope he follows Channing all the way to the “Magic Mike” sequel (yup, a sequel is being developed). I’d like to see Ryan bust out some sexy stripper moves ;) Papa has some dollar bills to spend.
“Step Up Revolution” marks Guzman’s acting debut. Previously, he worked as a model and was represented by Look Model Agency. The hazel-eyed hottie scored plenty of gigs due to his rock hard abs and adorable smile. His most noteworthy booking came in 2009 when he modeled for Calvin Klein underwear.
Tyrell wrote about Ryan Guzman when he first landed his role in the “Step Up” flick back in 2011. With “Step Up Revolution” hitting theaters soon, I thought it was time to re-introduce this stud. If you read Tyrell’s post, I purposely chose different photos than he did. Check out the pictures I picked below.
Since it’s New York Pride this weekend, I thought I’d choose a hot Broadway actor as this week’s Man Crush. Having just spent a few days there last week with Brian and Nic, choosing the right hottie was an easy choice. On one of our nights there, we decided to check out “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert“. While the London West End production was better, IMHO, there were a few things I liked better in the Broadway version. Most notably, Nick Adams‘ performance as Adam/Felicia. It was amazeballs. The fact he has a smoking body didn’t hurt either.
Adams was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and studied at the Boston Conservatory of Music where he earned a BFA in musical theater and minored in dance. A few highlights of his Broadway career include being part of the original cast of “The Pirate Queen” and co-starring in the Broadway revivals of “A Chorus Line” and “Guys and Dolls“. Nick also played one of the Cagelles in “La Cage Aux Folles” with Kelsey Grammer (Frasier).
His biggest gig to date was landing one of the leads in the Broadway production of “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”. Sadly, the musical is ending its run on June 24, 2012. BOO. If you haven’t seen it, you’re missing out. Luckily, I hear a touring version will be launched in 2013. Be sure to check it out when it hits your neck of the woods. The 29-year-old actor/dancer has also appeared on television in “As The World Turns“, “Guiding Light” and “Dancing With The Stars“. Once you check out his rock hard body, you won’t be surprised to know he’s modeled underwear for 2(x)ist as well. Check out his body

In honor of “Dallas” premiering on TNT this week, I thought I’d lust over one of the show’s new stars in my weekly Man Crush feature. Meet Josh Henderson. I’ve been crushing on him since 2001 when he competed on the second season of the WB’s “Popstars“. Remember the show which gave us Eden’s Crush featuring Nicole Scherzinger. Think, Henderson could’ve been the male Scherzy. Like Eden’s Crush, Josh’s band Scene 23 also disbanded after one badly-selling debut album.
Instead of pursuing a career in music, he ventured into acting. With his boy-next-door looks, he quickly snatched up roles on teen-oriented shows. “Popstars” wasn’t his only foray into reality television. He appeared on “The Ashlee Simpson Show” on MTV as her real-life boyfriend. Side note, he was kind of a douche to her on the show, if memory serves me correctly.
Soon, the 30-year-old actor transitioned to more adult-fare shows including “Desperate Housewives” and “CSI”. Now he’s graduated to the big leagues as a Ewing in TNT’s reboot of “Dallas“. Fitting enough, Henderson was born in Dallas, Texas. On the show he plays J.R. Ewing’s son vying for control over Ewing Oil. Check out a few pictures of this blond stud below. Be careful not to let your “oil well” erupt ;)
Since “Prometheus” is hitting theaters this weekend, I thought I’d objectify one of the film’s stars. I’ve been crushin’ on Logan Marshall-Green since his days as Ryan Atwood’s bad boy brother on “The O.C.“. It’s great to see the 35-year-old actor in a big summer tentpole flick. Reportedly, he earned the role a mere five days before filming. Good on him, and great for me. I can’t get enough of this Tom Hardy doppleganger.
Marshall-Green was born in Charleston, South Carolina. Get this. This sexy beast has a twin brother named Taylor. Cue twin fantasy. He did his undergraduates studies at the University of Tennessee. Prior to landing his big role on “The O.C.”, he appeared in “24“, “Law & Order” and the HBO mini-series, “Band of Brothers”. Logan’s film credits include “Across The Universe”, “Brooklyn’s Finest” and “Devil”. Check out a few pics of this sexy beast below.
