Just like my 2012 Model Behavior Showdown, the annual Man Crush Showdown is also off to a resounding success. Almost 20,000 votes were cast in Round 1. Unlike the first round of the Model Behavior showdown, the gap between the Top 3 here was more than five votes. There was a clear winner.
Coming in first place was actor Brandon Quinn with 5,001 votes. To be perfectly honest, I was a little surprised. Though sexy in that rough kind of way, I didn’t think he’d win Round 1. The other person to earn an automatic berth in the Final Round is Mario Casas (4,446 Votes). Props to our readers for advancing such a tasty foreign dish. Just missing out in third place is Aussie hunk, Dan Ewing with 3,743 votes. I’m sure with that total, he’ll earn one of the four wild card slots for the finals.
With Round 1 in the history books, it’s time to shift focus to Round 2. Check out this crop of my previous weekly Man Crushes. If you want more pictures of each stud, click on their name for their feature.

Like my Model Behavior series, it’s also time to wrap up my other weekly feature, Man Crush. For those who are new readers, this is when I pit my weekly crushes against each other to see who reigns supreme. In 2010, Scott Herman won the title and in 2011 it was Jonathan D. Lovitz who won your hearts. Who will it be this year? Only your votes will determine that.
Once again, the 2012 Man Crush Showdown will be divided into three rounds. Read below to see how the final round will be determined and ultimately the winner crowned. For this week’s Man Crush I decided to hand over the reigns to one of our readers. Nathaniel suggested on our Facebook Fan Page that Justice Joslin become the next object of my online lust love. Clearly, he’s been following Homorazzi for a while. Justice is definitely my type. WOOF. PS: How sexy is that name? I’ve been a bad boy and papa needs some “justice” ;)
Joslin hails from Johnson City, Tennessee. Born in 1987, this stud is a former athlete who played football for the Wofford Terriers and in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Nowadays, Justice has turned his focus on modeling. He definitely has the face and smokin’ body for it. He’s scruffy in all the right places. Justice has also dabbled in acting, appearing in The Quarry and Fish Bait: The Movie. Check out this stud’s hot photos below. If you like a hairy chest, you’re going to love Joslin. Happy lusting.
This week’s Man Crush is best known for his recurring role on Pretty Little Liars, but since I stopped watching that show, I wasn’t privy to his hotness. That is until I saw him pop up on 2 Broke Girls playing a sexy hot Amish named Jebediah (love that name). Immediately, I was drawn to his boyish charm. But it wasn’t til he took off his shirt that he won my love. He’s all man underneath that Amish attire. WOOF.
Brandon Jones is a 24-year-old actor hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina. During high school, he participated in football, track and wrestling teams, which explains the athletic bod ;) In 2010, he posed for iconic photographer Bruce Weber for an Abercrobmie & Fitch holiday ad campaign. Jones first television credit was an appearance on 90210. He’s had recurring roles on Lie to Me, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Pretty Little Liars. Check out Brandon’s beefy hotness below.
Speaking for myself, when there’s turkey, stuffing, gravy and pumpkin pie in front of me, I definitely overindulge. I just have no will power when it comes to the holidays. Picking Colt Prattes as my Man Crush this week, I thought would motivate me to hit the gym. If you’ve seen him in Pink’s “Try” music video, you know dude has an amazing body. And in the spirit of Thanksgiving… I’d like to “stuff” his “turkey”. LOL. Whatever that means.
Prattes is a Broadway actor-dancer who’s appeared in such productions as How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, West Side Story and Legally Blonde: The Musical to name a few. He’s also participated in the US national tour of A Chorus Line and appeared in Planet Hollywood’s Surf The Musical featuring songs from The Beach Boys. For this year’s annual Broadway Bares event, Colt was chosen as the coverboy for their ad campaign, posing as Prince Charming.
Given his size and muscular frame, it’s shocking how well and agile he moves. He literally is poetry in motion in that P!nk video. If you thought Colt was gifted with great genes… yes he was. LOL. That said, there’s a “before” picture I’ve added below which was taken prior to him taking up bodybuilding more seriously. Not that he’s obese or pudgy by any means, but he’s definitely more cut now. On this week’s Dancing With The Stars, I thought for sure Kelly Monaco and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy were getting the boot. Thankfully for me, I have a few more Monday nights to lust after him. Before he joined the ABC dancing show, his older brother Maks was my crush. That was then and this is now. Who doesn’t like a newer and younger model? I love me some new car smell. His “leather” must feel good and his “stick shift” really easy to handle. LOL. So dirty.
Val (or Valentin as he likes to be called now) joined DWTS on Season 13. Prior to that, he was a decorated ballroom dancer, winning the US championships 14 times over his 15-year dance career. The 26-year-old owns a chain of dancing studios with Maks and Tony Dovolani.
When he’s not sweating it up on the dancefloor, Val is a budding musician. He plays the violin and fancies himself as a rapper. Yup, you read that right. Homeboy has a rap music video titled “White Boy Boogie” and does a good job shaking it. Check it out at the end of this post, after a whackload of pictures. For this week’s Man Crush, I decided to switch things up. Instead of drooling over a gorgeous man who’s typically posing for a photographer, I chose someone who’s usually behind the camera. Plus, Movember is around the corner and this sexy stud knows how to work his signature 70s styled mustache like no other. Meet New York native Douglas Friedman.
Fans of America’s Next Top Model might recognize Friedman from his appearances on Tyra Banks’ show. He’s appeared on the reality series to snap the wannabe models, most recently on Cycle 19′s trashy motel shoot. Before the 40-year-old began his career in photography, he worked as an assistant to director David Fincher on such films like Se7en, The Game and Fight Club.
Friedman began his photography career shooting stories for Wallpaper, Domino and Elle Decor magazines. Soon he segued to fashion photography and worked with Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, Vogue Italia and Vanity Fair to name a few. Often times, he appears in front of his own camera and takes beautiful shots of himself. It’s not that hard, especially when the subject is as handsome as he is. In addition to his beefy good looks, I also love his fashion sense. Dude has great style. Check out a few photos of Douglas below.
Apologies for the day late Man Crush. I was in recovery mode yesterday thanks to an amazing time at the Topman Vancouver launch party last night. I’m so glad the British retailer has opened an even bigger space in The Bay here in our fair city. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Speaking of gorgeousness, let’s talk about Robert Buckley, the object of my online love this week. He sorta reminds me of a younger Scott Speedman, don’t you think?
I, like many viewers, fell in lust at first sight when he appeared on Lipstick Jungle (NBC’s poor man’s Sex and the City). He played Kim Raver’s character’s sexy boy toy. Instantly, the 31-year-old actor was typecast as the go-to cougar bait for other actresses, including Heather Locklear in Flirting With Forty. When Lipstick Jungle ended, he landed a regular role for the final three seasons of the CW’s One Tree Hill. Thanks to ABC, Robert is once again invading our living rooms on a weekly basis with his role on 666 Park Avenue. Sadly, I don’t think the show is going to last. I hope his agents are already working on his next gig.
Buckley was born in Claremont, California and attended the University of California, San Diego where he earned an Economics degree. Before he landed his first acting gig, Robert appeared on television as a contestant on The Price is Right. That taste of the limelight convinced him to end his career as an economic consultant and pursue acting on a full-time basis. And for that I am very thankful.
