With my Model Behavior Showdown in full swing, it’s time for the studs I picked for my Man Crush series to battle it out for the 2013 title. Man Crush Showdown winners for the past three years were Dan Ewing (2012), Jonathan D. Lovitz (2011) and Scott Herman (2010). Click their names to check out the runner-ups. Who will your votes declare the winner this year?

Just like the model competition, this year’s Man Crush Showdown will only consist of one round to determine the winner. As infrequent I was with my model posts in 2013, I was even more sporadic with my crushes. I’m definitely making a promise to be much better in 2014. Check out the crushworthy guys below and vote often for your favorites. The poll will close on January 2, 2014 with the results announced the following day. May the best (sexiest) man win.

Man Crush: Luke Mitchell

In: Donovan, Totally GAY!, TV Shows

With little to no original programming on during this holiday season, I’ve had time to catch up on several shows. #BingeWatching. The Tomorrow People is officially now off my to-watch list. I’m all caught up and ready for the CW supernatural series to return on January 15, 2014. After sitting through back-to-back-to-back-to-back (you get the gist) episodes, I realize that I was crushin‘ on one of its stars.

When the network greenlit The Tomorrow People, I thought I’d be all over Robbie Amell. He’s cute and related to Stephen Amell (Arrow). But for some reason, on the show, he does nothing for me. On the flipside, it’s the Aussie import that’s won my adoration. It’s all about Luke Mitchell, ya’ll. YUMMY to the nth degree.

Prior to landing the role of John Young, Mitchell mostly appeared in Australian productions including H2O: Just Add Water, Neighbours and Home and Away. With regards to the latter, he met his future wife Rebecca Breeds on the show. Lucky girl. Check out pictures of Luke below to see exactly how lucky she is. Waking up besides this on a daily basis isn’t a bad way to start the morning. Hope you enjoy my latest Man Crush.

Man Crush: Brett Dalton

In: Donovan, Totally GAY!, TV Shows

Since I resurrected my Model Behavior series this week, I thought I’d do the same for my Man Crush feature. For my return, I picked the best thing about Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Let’s face it, the only redeeming part of that hot mess is Agent Grand Ward played by Brett Dalton. I will say though, the past couple episodes have gotten marginally better.

Dalton was born in San Jose, California. He attended both University of California, Berkeley and Yale where he received an undergraduate degree and Master of Fine Arts degree respectively. Hot body and brains to boot. Sign me up. Before landing a series regular gig on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the 31-year-old appeared in episodes of Army Wives and Blue Bloods. He’ll next appear in Chris Lowell’s (Veronica Mars) directorial debut, Beside Still Waters.

If you haven’t watched him on the ABC series, check out his best (ahem shirtless) scenes below, along with several photos. Let me know if you think Brett is crushworthy in the comments section.

Man Crush: Steve Grand

In: Donovan, Totally GAY!

The public has spoken! Since you’re eating up the awesomeness that is Steve Grand, it was a no-brainer that the openly-gay country singer be my next Man Crush selection. There’s no denying the Chicago cutie is one sexy beast.

As I was doing research on Grand, and thanks to a few of our readers, I discovered the 23-year-old singer has more aliases than a Russian spy. Whether he goes by Steve Chatham or Finn Diesel, dude looks good in and out of clothes. Check out several photos of him below. While there’s no nudity, there are a couple pics with very visible penis lines. And if you haven’t already watched Grand’s music video, click here.

Man Crush: Christopher Marchant

In: Donovan, Totally GAY!

Recently, I received a suggestion that I should feature more openly gay men in my Man Crush series. Ask and you shall receive I say. Meet Christopher Marchant- a gay violinist living in New York City. Who knew playing that instrument would result in such huge biceps. I never got those kind of results playing the organ ;)

Marchant is a co-founding member of Well Strung, a hot singing string quartet. The string boy band like to cover Lady Gaga and Kesha tunes with classical repertoire such as Vivaldi. The name of the group actually came about due to a photoshoot with DNA magazine. The Aussie publication titled the spread “well strung” and the rest is as they say, history. Prior to Well Strung, Marchant was part of a show in 2010 called “Naked Boys Singing” in Provincetown, Mass. Ummm, I’d like to see videos of those performances.

Check out several sexy pics of him below, along with a photo from his DNA spread that features him wearing only a strategically placed violin. Based on it, I can see why they titled it well hung strung ;) Oh, and if you find yourself in the NYC area, it looks like he moonlights as a bartender. Happy hunting.

Man Crush: Tom Welling

In: Donovan, Totally GAY!

Before Henry Cavill burns up theater screens as the latest Superman in Man of Steel, I thought I’d highlight one of the hottest men ever to don the superhero costume. Not going to lie, Tom Welling is definitely my type and I can’t believe it took me this long to feature him in my Man Crush series. If you thought the Smallville actor was cute back in the day, he’s even hotter today. The slight salt-and-pepper buzz cut really works for him. WOOF.

Welling was born in Upstate New York. Before landing his breakout role in the WB series, the 36-year-old actor guest starred in Judging Amy and Undeclared. He’s appeared in the Cheaper By The Dozen films and the 2005 remake of The Fog. Since Smallville ended, Tom tried his hand behind the scenes. He executive produced the short lived cheerleading series, Hellcats.

He’ll return to the big screen later this year, appearing with Zac Efron and Paul Giamatti in Parkland. The Tom Hanks-produced film follows the events that occurred at Parkland Memorial Hospital after JFK’s assassination. It’s scheduled to hit theaters in November 2013 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the historic event. Check out photos of Welling then and now below.

Man Crush: Josh Kelly

In: Donovan, Totally GAY!, TV Shows

Apparently I was crush-less in April. I can’t believe I didn’t write a Man Crush post during the entire month. To get back in the saddle (so to speak), I planned on highlighting a completely different stud but since One Life To Live returned back to the airwaves (or should I say online for their relaunch), I thought I’d crush on one of its stars.

Meet Josh Kelly. Not to be confused with Katherine Heigl’s hubby Josh Kelley, this Josh is a buff drink of blond water. Born in Japan, Kelly lived the life of your typical army brat, living in various locations (Guam, Philippines, Maryland, Georgia, Maine) during his childhood. After graduating high school, he followed in his father’s footsteps and enlisted in the Army where he served three tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq.

Before landing the role of Cutter Wentworth on One Life To Live, the 31-year-old actor played bit roles on Ugly Betty, True Blood, Army Wives and Rizzoli and Isles to name a few. He made the leap to the silver screen when Michael Bay cast him in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. Josh returned for Transformers: Dark of the Moon where he appeared in front of the camera and served as a military consultant after Bay saw his post-traumatic stress short film, Cope. Check out this stud below in all his glory. You’ll never guess which former Jersey Shore star he’s acting with on OLTL.

Man Crush: Jesse Spencer

In: Donovan, Totally GAY!

Some men get better with age and that couldn’t be truer than with Jesse Spencer. The 34-year-old actor looks smoking hot on NBC’s Chicago Fire. Time has certainly served him well… that or his fireman gear. What can I say? I have a thing for uniforms. I’m sure I’m not alone. Since I already featured his co-star Taylor Kinney, it was time for Spencer to have his very own Man Crush post.

Most North American viewers know Spencer for playing Dr. Robert Chase on House. Did you know Jesse plays the violin and is in the group, Band from TV, with his former House co-star Hugh Laurie? Here’s another fun fact. Patrick Dempsey also auditioned for the role, but lost out to the Aussie. Dempsey bounced back with a little show called Grey’s Anatomy. Can you imagine if things had worked out for McDreamy?

Jesse was born in Melbourne, Australia. His first major acting gig, like many Aussie actors in Hollywood, was for the popular soap Neighbours. His other notable acting credits include Uptown Girls with Brittany Murphy and playing the love interest in Katharine McPhee’s “Say Goodbye” music video.

Currently, he’s in a relationship actress Michelle Borth. The two have been dating since 2010. Previously, he was with his House co-star Jennifer Morrison who now stars in ABC’s Once Upon A Time. Check out what both these ladies had the pleasure of waking up to every morning below. Jesse is one cute Aussie.
