With all the major networks presenting at this week’s upfronts, television viewers were able to get a sneak peek at all their new shows. When September rolls around, audiences looking for a bit of eye candy won’t be disappointed. The networks really did a bang up job of casting hotties. Typically, right before the Fall television season begins, I dedicate my weekly Man Crushes to hotties poised to become breakout stars. I decided to start early this year, the second I saw one particular actor. Meet Theo James.
James is an English actor probably best known for playing Kemal Pamuk in “Downton Abbey“. Come next season, the 27-year-old actor will be known for his role as Clark on CBS’ new drama, “Golden Boy“. Theo won the role, after Ryan Phillippe dropped out due to time commitment. Phillippe’s loss is our gain, as audiences will now have an opportunity to look at this sexy beast on a weekly basis.
Theo was born in Oxford and has a degree in philosophy from the University of Nottingham. Besides “Downtown Abbey”, his other acting credits include, “Underworld: Awakening” and “The Inbetweeners Movie”. Later this year, he’ll appear in “The Domino Effect”. In addition to acting, James is also a singer and guitarist. He plays with London-based band Shere Khan. Get to know Theo in pictures below now before he blows up big time come Fall.
Since “Smash” is airing its season finale on Sunday, I thought I’d pick a sexy beast from the Great White Way as my weekly Man Crush. The second I saw Broadway performer Justin Clynes, I knew I had found the object of my affection for this week. Once you see his mysterious smile and defined abs, you’ll agree he’s a great choice.
Born in 1984 in Boca Raton, Florida, Clynes began his career as a model and moved to New York City to pursue that dream. He signed with Click Talent Management and quickly found work. He’s appeared in ads for Diesel, Macy’s, Express and Abercrombie. While in NYC, he discovered his passion for acting and performing. His theater credits include “A Chorus Line”, “The Full Monty”, and “Beauty and The Beast” to name a few. He’s also appeared on the small screen in bit roles on “30 Rock“, “Ugly Betty”, “All My Children” and “CSI: New York”.
In addition to posing for pictures, Justin also has a passion for taking them. He’s a budding photographer and you can see his work over at www.jclynesphotography.com. Clynes also loves interior and architectural design. “I have a really creative personality, and I like to use my hands to build things,” he says. Not to mention a really hot body. After going international with my last Man Crush selection, I decided to stay local this time around. This week’s Man Crush comes courtesy of “90210“. Robert Hoffman joined the cast a few episodes ago as Caleb Logan- a surfing Catholic seminarian. Only in Beverly Hills would you find a hottie tackling gnarly waves in between studying to become a priest. The whole forbidden love affair with Annie (Shenae Grimes) is all very “Thorn Birds“.
The 31-year-old stud got his start in Hollywood as a dancer. His first film credit was appearing as a backup dancer in the atrocious “From Justin To Kelly“. Hoffman followed that up with more dancing roles in other films including “You Got Served”, “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights” and “Coach Carter”. His first legit acting role came in 2006 where he appeared in “She’s The Man” with Amanda Bynes as her douchey boyfriend.
But by far, his biggest role to date was starring as the lead in “Step Up 2: The Streets“. He took over the dancing torch from Channing Tatum who played the lead in the first film. Hopefully his stint on “90210″ lasts a bit longer. I wouldn’t mind seeing him de-frocked. Speaking of which, check out a few shirtless pictures of Robert below. Enjoy.
Like my Model Behavior series, I’ve also neglected my other weekly feature- Man Crush. If you read my Model Behavior post on Kris Kranz a few days ago, you know that I was a little burnt out from scouring the internet for hot men. Yup, it’s possible to OD on shirtless hunks. That said, I’m back and excited to share hotties who win my virtual heart (and eye) on a weekly basis.
Every once in a while, I like to pick an international stud to highlight. Who doesn’t love a little foreign tongue? Am I right, or am I right? I came across Mario Casas while surfing the other day. It was his cover for a Spanish magazine that caught my eye. Immediately, I was smitten. He’s so friggin’ adorable. Casas was born on June 12, 1986 in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. I could go on and on with his film credits, but unless you watch Spanish cinema regularly, you probably don’t care. All my Man Crush readers really want to know is… what he looks like with his shirt off. The answer to that is muy caliente. Check him out below.
The second I saw this hot stud pop up on my television last Sunday night, I knew he was going to be my Man Crush this week. Say “hello” to Eric Winter. If winter was this hot, I’d never wish for summer. This sexy 35-year-old blond hottie joined the cast of “GCB” as Kristin Chenoweth’s little brother. He certainly made a great first impression. His first scene featured him driving pant-less. That smile, those legs, that chest. In the spirit of “GCB”, AMEN. God is certainly good.
Winter hails from La Mirada, California. He began his career as a fashion model scoring some high-profile gigs including a print campaign for Tommy Hilfiger and the male lead in a commercial for Britney Spears’ fragrance, “Curious”. Eric’s biggest acting gig to date was playing Rex Brady on “Days of our Lives” for four years. He parlayed that exposure to numerous guest starring parts in “The Mentalist”, “Brothers & Sisters“, and now “GCB”. His film credits include roles in “Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay” and “The Ugly Truth” with Katherine Heigl.
On the personal front, sadly, Winter is attached. He’s been married to actress Roselyn Sanchez since 2008. They have one daughter named Sebella Rose Winter, born earlier this year. With that, Eric is now officially a DILF. Fun fact. He has an English bulldog named Lilly given to him by Sharon Osbourne on an episode of her former talk show, “The Sharon Osbourne Show”. If you watched Toni Braxton’s newly-released “I Heart You” music video you probably drooled over her love interest. I know I did and that’s why I’m picking him as my Man Crush for this week. Meet Nick Denbiegh, the man who stole Braxton’s heart in the video and in real life. The two are rumored to be dating. Damn, that Toni is one lucky beyotch.
Denbeigh is a 28-year-old model/actor hailing from Spokane, Washington. He can attribute his gorgeousness to his mixed heritage. His mom is African American and German, while is dad is of Native American and Norwegian descent. All the ingredients make for one sexy package. Nick was discovered by a talent scout while playing arena football. Surprise, he’s a former athlete. No wonder he looks so good in athletic attire.
As a model he landed gigs for DNA Magazine, Adidas Give/Get campaign, Essence and various other publications. Toni Braxton’s video isn’t his only music credit. He was featured in Christina Milian’s “Against the World” video as well. He’s dabbled in acting and appeared in small roles in “Bring It On (Fight To The Finish) and “Blue Balloons”. As stated in my other Man Crush this week, I decided to give you a double header today due to my neglect the past three weeks because of my vacation in New Zealand and Australia. First up was Scott McGregor and now it’s time for another tasty little Aussie. If McGregor wasn’t your cup of tea, I’m sure this buff stud will do the trick. Meet Dan Ewing.
This 26-year-old actor is currently titillating Australian television viewers on a weekly basis on the popular show, “Home and Away“. During my time Down Under, I never saw the show, but he caught my attention while channel surfing. A mere couple nanoseconds seeing him shirtless on a television promo was enough to win me over. Ewing was born in Manly (loved the beach) and grew up in Forestville. Dan’s other acting credits include “Power Rangers: RPM” and “Spirited”. He even scored an uncredited role in the feature film “Superman Returns” starring Brandon Routh. In 2011, he competed on the 11th season of Australia’s “Dancing With The Stars“. Sadly, he didn’t make it far and was eliminated fourth. He can’t be this hot and also a great dancer. That just wouldn’t be fair.

Since I was a naughty boy and neglected my Man Crush feature during my Australian vacation, I thought I’d make it up to you today by giving you a double-header of hotties today. Both Dan Ewing and Scott McGregor were two Aussie hunks I planned on writing about during my time Down Under but got sidetrack with all the fun I was having at Mardi Gras and other events. Hopefully, both of these guys were worth the wait.
First on the docket is 30-year-old Scott McGregor. This sexy Aussie is a model, actor and television producer. He began his career as a model and appeared in Men’s Health Australia, Cleo and naturally DNA Magazine. In addition to photo spreads, he scored commercials and print ads for multiple products including clothing, beer and underwear. In 2010, he landed a role on the popular Australian soap opera “Neighbours“. He proved so popular on the show that his contract was extended to a year even though it was initially supposed to be only a six-month contract. Fun fact. Scott is also a trained graphic designer.
