This weekend, the romance/drama/horror flick, Warm Bodies opened in theatres with an estimated $20 million, taking the top spot. I had included the film in my list of 5 Movies To See This February and it looks like many people had it on their list as well. The film stars Nicholas Hoult as an unusual zombie named R (because he can’t remember his full name) who saves Julie (Teresa Palmer) from an attack and form a relationship that sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world.
Also opening in theatres this weekend was an action flick called Bullet To The Head, starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Momoa, and Christian Slater. Just as fellow former action star Arnold Schwarzenegger struggled with the opening of The Last Stand, Stallone’s movie is only bringing in an estimated $4.6 million in its opening weekend and will, like other films, take a hit with the Super Bowl this evening.
Find out how the other films did and see who came in second and third in the Top 10 list below. Did any of you watch Warm Bodies or Bullet To The Head? If so, share your thoughts on the films in the comments.
With January wrapping up in a matter of days, it’s a great time to start talking about some of the must-see movies that are coming out in February. I’ve selected five films that I want to see and together they make up a good mix of genres. You’re bound to see you one that interests you!
Probably out of all five of them, the one that I want to see most is Identity Thief, starring Melissa McCarthy and Jason Batemen. I seriously can’t get enough of McCarthy’s movies and since she’s one of two leads in this one, it’s at the top of my list. Considering all the buzz and promotion for the film, my prediction is that the weekend it opens in theaters it will be at the top of the box office. If you haven’t seen the trailer for this one, I’ve included it below along with brief overviews and trailers for the other four films on my list.
Check out five movies worth checking out this February below. I’ve also included the release dates for each movie so you can pencil in your movie dates for the month ;)
The first four minutes of an upcoming movie called Warm Bodies has been released and it’s definitely worth checking out! The film stars Nicholas Hoult, whom we first got to know in About A Boy, and later in A Single Man. He’s also the star of Jack The Giant Slayer and will also be reprising his role as Hank McCoy / Beast in X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
In Warm Bodies, Hoult stars as R, a zombie who becomes involved with the girlfriend of one of his victims. Their romance sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world. The first four minutes sets the scene for the film and gives you a good feel for what to expect. I wasn’t expecting to like it, but I was pleasantly surprised.
In addition to Hoult, the film also stars Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, John Malkovich, Analeigh Tipton, Dave Franco and Cory Hardrict. Check out the first four minutes of the film below!
