Turns out the rumors and TMZ reports were true. Kristin Chenoweth is dating a former star of The Bachelor. In the most dramatic rose ceremony ever, Kristin picks someone NOT in my Top 10 Hottest Bachelors list. In fact, the diminutive Broadway star picked one of my least favorite Bachelors ever from the history of the ABC dating show. Oh Kristen, I expected more from you.
Chenoweth confirmed her new relationship with People magazine saying, “We have been spending a little time together.” The new couple have been spotted dining together in West Hollywood and at a cafe near this Bachelor’s home in Texas. The two reportedly met at an event in October. I wonder if he gave the former Pushing Daisies star roses on their first date or other flowers… daisies, perhaps? Find out who Kristin’s new beau is below.
Just when Vienna Girardi and Kasey Kahl thought they had exhausted all possibilities to extend their 15 minutes of fame, VH1 extends them a lifeline in the form of a new reality show. From the producers of “Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew,” “Couples Therapy” is the first reality show to examine firsthand the real life experiences of a group of buzzed-about couples.
Funny, I thought Vienna and Kasey broke up months ago. I guess the opportunity of showing up on television once more prompted them to give their relationship another try. Speaking of on-again, off-again couples, it looks like “The A-List: New York” co-stars Rodiney Santiago and Reichen Lehmkuhl are in an “it’s complicated” Facebook-type of relationship again. I wonder if the topic of threesomes will enter in their counseling sessions. Hmmmm.
“Couples Therapy” will feature five couples at a crossroads in their relationships and for 21 days, they will undergo intensive relationship therapy. Renowned relationship therapist Dr. Jenn Berman will treat the five couples in both individual, couples and group sessions. During the 8 episode run, I’m sure we’ll see all the couples seesaw back and forth between trying to rekindle their relationship or simply just move on.
It was a roller coaster season of Bachelor Pad this summer. The drama was laid on so thick, you could cut it with a knife. Now, it’s down to four remaining couples: Kirk & Ella, Graham & Michelle, Kasey & Vienna and Holly & Michael. The episode begins as the couples head to Las Vegas for the final challenge. The troupe heads into a theater where they discover they are about to climb up the vertical wall from Cirque du Soleil’s “Ka” as a pair. They will be judged by former Bachelor/Bachelorette vets on showmanship, chemistry and technique. Ultimately, the best couple will stay and the worst couple must pack their bags and leave Vegas immediately.
The couples get off to a fairly good start with their choreographers on level ground except for the never ending fighting Kasey Kahl & Vienna Girardi. In the routine, they must create 10 seconds of their own choreography. Kasey has this idea to great a heart in the air (of course) and Vienna proceeds to be difficult and dramatic and claims it’s a terrible idea. The couples rehearse on the actual wall and Michelle feels nauseous while Ella is terrified of heights. As they go into the night, all the couples continue to work hard on their routines… except for Kasey and Vienna.
The next day, it’s showtime and the couples must perform for their judges: the first ever Bachelorette, Trista Sutter, former Bachelor Jason Mesnick and engaged Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky. The trio must decide who gives the best performance and award them roses as well as the send the couple they believe did the worst job home empty handed. The performances go well for Vienna and Jake while Graham and Michelle and Kirk and Ella have a rough time. The ultimate win is clear when Mike Stagliano & Holly Durst take to the wall. Their chemistry is undeniable and their final lift is stunning.
Okay. Let’s talk this year’s season of the Bachelor Pad. Last season, I caught an episode here or there but never really go into it. This year, I’ve allowed myself to fall into the trap and I have to tell you I’m hooked. Last night, I was glued to the TV while all of the latest drama went down. If you haven’t been following, let me give you a quick update.
This season, returning Bachelor Jake Pavelka has been placed in a house with his ex-fiancé Vienna Girardi and her current boyfriend Kasey Kahl. The drama between these three has been non-stop high school bullsh** and honestly, it’s like a train wreck that you cannot stop watching. It doesn’t help that Vienna also broke up Gia Allemand’s relationship prior to the show either by sleeping with her boyfriend. With all of this back story, how can you NOT love this show.
Last night’s episode laid the drama on REAL thick and made me absolutely DESPISE the power couple that is Kasey & Vienna. They are absolutely ruthless and literally have no sense of trust, morals or dignity in the house and it absolutely infuriates me.
It seems that everyone who gets their moment in the limelight revels in it and then falls into the same old mold of the LA stereotype, no matter who you are or where you came from and it looks like Vienna Girardi is one of those gals. Known best for winning Jake Pavelka’s heart on The Bachelor and then displaying their explosive break-up on national television, the blonde has decided that she needed to get her nose done. She spoke to US Weekly about how excited she was to have the procedure done.
“It has only been a few days since my surgery and I’m in a ton of pain but the excitement of seeing my new nose soon is keeping me in good spirits.”
In the interview she says that her current beau Kasey Kahl has been helping her out during her recovery. How sweet of him. Now he can guard and protect her heart AND her nose. LOL. In an interesting side note, Vienna’s surgery was performed by Dr. Franklin Rose, father of Bachelor Pad contestant Erica Rose. Vienna added a few more comments about her surgery on Twitter.
What happens when you put 18 former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants together in a house for the summer? You get complete and utter mayhem, a boat load of drama and of course, the summer’s best reality show guilty pleasure… The Bachelor Pad.
Returning for it’s second season, the show is ready to deliver all the goods pitting rivals, exes and some friends against each other to win the ultimate prize: $250,000. The housemates will compete in various challenges and vote out each other throughout the process. This is also a second chance at love for those who didn’t find it the first time around on their respective seasons.
This season promises to bring some extra drama with the addition of Jake Pavelka who chose Vienna Girardi in his season. She now dates Kasey Kahl but has beef with Gia Allemand who has beef with Vienna after hooking up with her ex Wes Hayden. Gia is now apparently now friends with Jake Pavelka. May the gloves come off and the games begin!
A while back, I brought you the first five officially released cast members for the second season of The Bachelor Pad. Now, one of the season’s supposed best kept secrets has been revealed. Former Bachelor Jake Pavelka was spotted on a date with Jackie Gordon in Hollywood. ABC has confirmed that it was the show’s first date of the season.
To refresh your Bachelor trivia, Jake was the Bachelor for season 14 and picked Vienna Girardi as his final suitor. Their relationship came to a crashing, flaming mess when they had the most public of breakups during an episode of Ali’s Bachelorette season. Now, it’s time for Jake to squeeze at least 15 more minutes of fame out of this franchise. I still think the kid’s a little gay but I digress.
Jackie was a potential mate during season 15 of The Bachelor, aka Brad Womack’s season. She was one of my least favorite from the season and kind of the most boring. She didn’t even come close to winning Brad’s heart but maybe she’ll find more chemistry with Jake? Bachelor Pad begins on ABC August 8th.
More rumors have been floating around about other cast members including Jake’s ex Vienna and her new boyfriend Kasey Kahl (better known as the guy who will “guard and protect your heart”). With these two potentially joining Jake on the show, it’s sure to be an exciting and dramatic season.
The summer always brings on some serious reality TV show guilty pleasures. CBS gives you Big Brother, Bravo is introducing Platinum Hit and NBC is bringing speed dating to the jungle in Love In The Wild. But one show I’m seriously stoked about is the return of my favorite ABC guilty pleasure from last summer… The Bachelor Pad.
This franchise seriously has it going on. From the early beginnings are The Bachelor to putting The Bachelorette into fruition to now having another spin-off involving even more drama and series cast-offs, how can you go wrong? The show takes the sent homes from both Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons pasts and puts them back in the house together to compete in challenges and vote each other out of the house. Only one male and one female can be crowned the winners. Oh ya, and sometimes they hook up with each other and that brings even more fun to the table.
The show has now released five of its cast members for the upcoming season and I am shocked, surprised and ecstatic about a few of the additions this season. The drama and the fighting is going to be thick so make sure you watch as to not be left behind in water cooler talk at the office.
