trey songz

It’s definitely all about posterior these days. From Nicki Minaj to Jennifer Lopez shaking their bootylicious assets in “Anaconda” and “Booty” respectively, every artist with an ample behind is putting it in the spotlight. Kat DeLuna of “Whine Up” fame is the latest to jump on the bandwagon.

The Dominican singer teams up with Trey Songz for “Bum Bum.” The island-tinged offering samples Sister Nancy’s “Bam Bam.” For those not familiar with that, you might recognize the interpolation of Shaggy’s reggae hit “It Wasn’t Me.” Since I adore that Shaggy hit, “Bum Bum” has grown on me.

Songz doesn’t appear in the clip. Instead, it’s all about DeLuna’s derriere and gigantic anaconda-sized braid that’s the primary focus. Check out the borderline soft porn clip below.

Trey Songz Covers The Weeknd’s Earned It

In: Donovan, Music

As much as Robin Thicke likes to think he’s the Marvin Gaye of our time, I’d have to throw The Weeknd’s name in the ring. Everything the Canadian crooner releases just oozes sex. “Wicked Games,” “Earned It,” and his latest “The Hills” are panty-dropping anthems if I ever heard them.

Fellow R&B singer Trey Songz tries to get his seduction on by covering the Fifty Shades of Grey hit. Sometimes there’s too much of a good thing. Songz adds far too many ad-libs and melisma in an attempt to make the song his own. Don’t take my word for it, check it out below.

Kat DeLuna Returns With Bootylicious New Track

In: Donovan, Music

Remember Kat DeLuna? Her debut single, “Whine Up,” cracked the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 back in 2007. Well, the 27-year-old singer returns and with a decently catchy comeback single.

The Dominican singer teams up with Trey Songz for “Bum Bum.” The island-tinged offering samples Sister Nancy’s “Bam Bam.” For those not familiar with that, you might recognize the interpolation of Shaggy’s reggae hit “It Wasn’t Me.”

“I’m so excited for the world to hear my amazing new song ‘Bum Bum’ with the incredible Trey Songz,” said Kat to “This song is evidence that music transcends generations, and for that I want to specially thank Sister Nancy for originating such an incredible song that left its musical imprint culturally for years to come. I hope ‘Bum Bum’ becomes your summer anthem!”

To accompany her hot new single, DeLuna debuts equally scorching artwork. Dang, that’s one sexy cover.

Check out “Bum Bum” below. It’s got potential to be a sleeper hit for this summer. The tropical beat go perfectly with those hot summer days and hotter summer nights.

Trey Songz Fumbles In New Music Video

In: Donovan, Music

I love all kinds of music. From folk music to dance anthems, and pop tracks to country tunes, you’ll find all genres represented very well in my iTunes library. But no matter what phase I go through, R&B will always be my first love… especially slow jams. The latest track from Trey Songz is totally up my alley. So glad that R&B is making a bit of a comeback after being barely nonexistent in the 2000s.

Fumble” is one of my favorite tracks from Songz’s fifth studio album, Chapter V, released last summer. I’m happy that he finally released a music video for it. Given that it’s probably the last official cut from the album, the video is what you would expect. It’s concert footage spliced with some standard studio shots. That said, the black and white clip directed by Manuel Concha provides a nice backdrop to the 28-year-old singer’s emotional outpouring. The Swedish director begins it with Trey giving a heartfelt apology to a woman for being the man less than what she deserves. Check it out below.

“It’s basically a song about having the one person that’ll do whatever for you, the one person that’ll go to the end of the world and back, and you not realizing it until it’s damn near too late,” Trey Songz said to Billboard. “It’s essentially about having someone’s heart in your hands and dropping it.”

It’s been quite a while since we did a Who’d You Rather post, so I thought I get the ball rolling with these two hotties for the first boy battle of 2013. With the Box Office success of Texas Chainsaw 3D, I thought I thought it’d be a great time to highlight the leading man from the film: Trey Songz. Although I haven’t seen it, in one of the production stills of the movie, the 28-year-old is shirtless and looking fine. The actor/singer has a really hot body and I love his tattoos.

Inspired by Songz’s tattoos, I thought I’d find another black, tattooed hottie to put him up against (…and my mind just went into the gutter :p..). I chose 26-year-old Devin Thomas, a super former NFL football player who retired from playing the sport professionally in 2012 to avoid any permanent injuries and so he focus on settling down with his wife. Both are super handsome and have insanely hot bodies with the only difference being that Thomas (given that he was a football player) is a bit beefier and has more tattoos.

Good luck with this one because as I write this, I still haven’t even decided. They’re both super sexy and have their unique selling points (actor/singer vs. football player, etc.).

Get ready to hear this catchy tune at the club soon – I’m almost certain it’s going to catch on in bars everywhere. It’s just one of those songs…. like, “Shots, shots, shots, etc.”

In this new music video from Trey Songz, we learn the “2 Reasons” why he and T.I. go to clubs because, well the reasons are revealed in the chorus: “I only came here for the bitches and the drinks.” At least they’re honest right? LOL. The video was shot in Atlanta and directed by Benny Boom and features the boys partying at the bar while girls get drunk and celebrate someone’s birthday – as they do.

His new album titled ‘Chapter V‘ will be released on August 21. Check out the video for “2 Reason” below.
