Even though Anderson Cooper’s syndicated talk show is canceled, he’s still one hot commodity. Not only is the 45-year-old CNN reporter being eyed for one prestigious hosting gig, but two. Like they say, when one door closes, another one opens. In this case, it’s two.

According to Deadline.com, NBC executives have reached out to Cooper about taking over The Today Show when Matt Lauer’s $25 million contract expires in 2014. With Lauer receiving plenty of negative press since Ann Curry’s ouster and his approval ratings tanking, the peacock network clearly won’t be renewing his contract. The once mighty daytime talk show is consistently playing second fiddle to ABC’s Good Morning America. Obviously, NBC is looking to shake things up and regain the crown.

Even though Matt is on his way out, execs reached out to him for his blessing. Not surprisingly, he’s not happy about his possible replacement. Allegedly, he even contacted Cooper to express his disapproval which caught Cooper by surprise. Ummmm, when did Lauer become the biggest douche in the world? Perhaps, he’s acting all competitive because both him and Cooper are up for another high-profile gig. Find out which one below.

Now that The Today Show is consistently in second place to Good Morning America, producers will stop at nothing to get an edge up. Even if that comes at the expense of their guests. Case in point, Tiffani Thiessen’s appearance on today’s episode. The 39-year-old actress (can you believe Kelly Kapowski is that old?) was all ready to play a round of trivia with Today staff when she was blindsided by one of her Saved By The Bell co-stars. Cue Mr. Belding aka Dennis Haskins.

It’s clear from the look on her face that Tiffani was unimpressed and uncomfortable with the situation. Even when Haskins comes over to shake her hand, she’s at a loss for words. You’d think after working for several years together, they’d greet each other with a hug. Once the surprise wore off and reality set it, Thiessen was a good sport and played along. I wouldn’t expect anything else from perky Kelly. After all, she was the most popular girl at Bayside High. Check out the mini Saved By The Bell reunion below.

The sexy Matt Damon joined The Today Show host Matt Lauer for their “Social Q’s” viewer mail segment this morning where they tackled “How To Handle Awkward Holiday Situations.” Coincidentally, yesterday I wrote about Juicy Couture’s Dos & Don’ts for the holiday season as well.

The viewer question in today’s segment read, “My girlfriend is an excellent cook and really defensive. When she cooks, she tosses the salad with her hands without washing them and tastes everything with her fingers. It makes me feel a little sick. Can I fix this?” Well, Damon couldn’t resist being set up for a perfect joke. “That’s not what they told me about tossing salad,” he joked. Personally, I’m curious to know how exactly how much Damon knows about tossing the salad – wink ;)

So just to be clear in case you aren’t familiar with the phrase “tossing the salad” when it comes to bedroom slang… it’s oral-anal sex, otherwise referred to as Anilingus. I just wanted to make that clear so were were on the same page with how naughty (and funny) it was for Damon to say that on live television. Watch the “cheeky” clip below.

If you watched The Voice this week, you probably heard Christina Aguilera boasting that her Season 2 pet Chris Mann is the most commercial artist to come from the NBC talent show. To be fair, he’s got some pretty weak competition. No one from The Voice has broken out like a Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood or even a Jordin Sparks.

Truth be told, had Aguilera not been involved with a petty feud with Adam Levine all season long, Mann might’ve done better than fourth place. Team X-Tina never does very well on the NBC singing show. This season, she’s the first judge/mentor to lose her entire team. Girl needs to work on her likability factor on the show. Anyhoo…

Chris Mann isn’t letting placing fourth get him down. The 30-year-old classically trained singer recently released his debut album Roads. As expected, it’s doing well on the classical charts, but he’s hoping it’ll crossover. The Kansas native appeared on The Today Show to perform the title track “Roads” and a cover of Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Know“. Check out both performances below.

I remember everyone panicking when they found out that Snooki was pregnant, but the Snooki we see today is not the party girl we once knew from Jersey Shore. In their first interview since having their baby Lorenzo, Nicole Polizzi and Jionni LaValle stopped by Today to talk about parenthood and how things have been for them since having the baby on August 26. As the tagline of the interview reads, it’s “From Seaside To Cribside.”

Snooki talks about how her life has changed and how partying isn’t important to her anymore. She said she partied enough for three people her entire life so she’s ready to enter a new chapter of her life. Of Lorenzo, Snooki says, “He just always craves attention, and I feel like that’s me…He always wants to be held and cuddled.” They also talk about how they want him to have a normal life as he grows up and not so much in the spotlight.

This morning, Donald Trump stopped by The Today Show with Matt Lauer to talk a little about politics, but mostly to talk about the cast for the upcoming All Stars Celebrity Apprentice, premiering in March 2013.

It’s a great mix of people this year and people are definitely bound to butt heads. One of the people I’m most excited about having back is Omarasa – not because she’s my favorite, but because she seems to bring the drama and tension into the show. Remember in the first season when she kept complaining about the fact that a chip from the ceiling fell on her head? I can just imagine how her and LaToya Jackson will clash. Oh, slip of the tongue – she’s back too!

Out of the fourteen cast members, only one former winner is returning and that is the 2010 champ Bret Michaels. Check out the full cast list below, as well as Donald Trump introducing them all back while they were all on The Today Show this morning (with the exception of two of them who couldn’t make it).

Last week, I reported that Ann Curry would making an abrupt exit from the Today Show. This morning, Ann made her tearful farewell message to the fans of viewers of the show. Her co-anchors also offered words of support and encouragement as she ventures into a new role within the Today Show umbrella. With Ann and co-workers talking about a lot of her groundbreaking journalism, it made for quite an emotional segment. Here are a few quotes from the farewell message:

“I am so grateful, especially to all of you who watch… We often call ourselves a family, but you [viewers] are the real ‘Today Show’ family.”

“I loved you, and I wanted to give you the world, and I still do.”

“For all of you who saw me as a groundbreaker, I’m sorry I couldn’t carry the ball to the finish line, but man, I did try.”

It looks like there is some dramz going on over at NBC’s morning staple, “The Today Show.” Back in December, I wrote about the possibility of Ryan Seacrest joining the morning broadcast to replace Matt Lauer. So far, the rumors have turned out to be false. Now, some grumblings are taking place once again at the network that another anchor may be getting the boot shortly. But who will it be?

Could Matt Lauer be on his way out the door once again and is Ryan Seacrest still a candidate? How about America’s trusted weatherman, Al Roker?
