Don’t ask me why (slow news day?), but this morning I was all of a sudden curious as to what ‘The Hills‘ stars were up to these days. After seeing a recent picture of Stephanie Pratt at the beach and Lauren Conrad talking about her secret to staying in shape, I got to Heidi Montag only to learn that she released a new EP last week called ‘Dreams Come True‘. In the album artwork above, Montag shows off her Hills cleavage in a skimpy outfit. The cover is somewhat similar to the style of her ‘Superficial‘ album.

The “Dreams Come True” (heavily autotuned) EP is selling for $4.99. To be honest, I don’t know who she is expecting to buy her album. After the 25-year old and her husband Spencer became two of the most despised celebrities for a while, got “written out” of ‘The Hills’ early, quit ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Outta Here!,’ and completely cut her mom and sister out of her life, her fan base is bound to be pretty limited. ‘Overdosin isn’t actually a new song, and a super budget video was released for it several years ago. Since The Hills ended in 2010, all the leading ladies have gone their seperate ways and have been working on evolving their careers. Lauren Conrad, the original lead “character” of the “reality” show has gone on to become a successful designer and author. Both Audrina Patridge and Kristin Cavallari have both competed in Dancing With The Stars. And of course Heidi Montag (2.0), along with her husband Spencer Pratt, were at one time the most annoying and shameless celebrities around. Now, the two seemed to have strangely retired from the public eye… who knows what they’re plotting behind closed doors.

None of the Hills ladies have really settled down and started a family… that is until now. One of the ladies has just announced that she is pregnant. Oh, how amazing of a storyline would this be if the show were still on, but alas this is real life. Find out who it is below.

On “The Hills“, Audrina Patridge was the sole brunette of the bunch. While Lauren, Heidi, Whitney, Stephanie, Lo and Kristen all sported their sun-kissed hair, Audrina showed off her sultry dark looks. She stood out in a sea of bleached blond girls. Now that her VH1 reality show “Audrina” has tanked, it seems like ceiling eyes wants to shake up her image and start anew.

During an in-store appearance at *gasp* Sears in Cerritos, California, Patridge debuted her new look. She was there to earn her keep as Bongo spokesperson. I’m not sure how I feel about her new choice in hair color, but it’s good to change it up every so often. Curious to see what Audrina looks like with lighter hair? It’s a definite possibility. MTV’s hit “reality” (and I use that word loosely) show, “The Hills” has the potential to become a movie according to one of the stars. Audrina Patridge sat down with an on air interview with Ryan Seacrest and said that there original was plans for a movie, but everyone needed a break after the show ended:

“We were kind of all just so fed up with each other that we all needed a little break. We’ve all had our break. Maybe we’ll all come back together and do a movie.”

I should clarify that this is separate from Lauren Conrad’s “L.A. Candy” being made into a movie. This would be the actual cast from The Hills.

“Previously on The Hills… I had been dating Kyle for three years and things were looking good. With so much going on in my life, both good and bad, things changed and I was about to find out that things were going to take a turn for the worst.”

Pretty good, huh? I watched the show enough to know what she’d say at the beginning of an episode with content like this. Oh how I miss that show sometimes…

Former reality star, Lauren Conrad has just split from her boyfriend Kyle Howard of three years. The two started dating back when The Hills was still filming, but Conrad didn’t want the relationship to be featured on the show. Probably a smart move – although it didn’t end up working out anyway.

Conrad (25) and Howard (33) had not been spotted together for months now, so there was already speculation that they had perhaps broken up. It’s unclear what happened between the two, considering that earlier this year things seemed fine and there was talk of engagement as well.

One of the most influential women in music is Lady Gaga, there is no question. As many people as Gaga inspires, she can also irritate with her over the top theatrics or controversial songs and content. However, Little Monsters can come in all shapes, sizes and backgrounds I am discovering. On a recent trip home to Winnipeg, I went to a friend’s home where her husband who comes from a very religious Mennonite background proceeded to tell me how much he loved Lady Gaga. He went on to say that she is a true messenger of love and love of all people. He was also so impressed with how well she knew her bible in relation to her controversial track Judas. That spoke volumes to me.

I too enjoy me some Lady Gaga but sometimes I miss the old Lady Gaga who released music that had message but didn’t throw it all at you without a shield. When Lady Gaga first hit the market, she was edgy and fresh and now I feel like sometimes she is trying too hard to impress and out due her last outfit, music video or stunt. Aside from all the theatricality, everything that comes from Gaga’s camp is highly calculated and has method to every little piece of madness. Lately, I’ve noticed more and more that Lady Gaga’s look has gone through a multitude of changes so I thought I would combine them all into a little retrospective for you to see the transition from music’s new it girl to reigning Queen of Pop.

Despite the sometimes negative connotation designated to one, gingers, Hills star Whitney Port decided she didn’t care and would prove that maybe red heads do have more fun… and have a soul. Ditching her beautiful blond locks, Whitney decided to go for a more “fiery” look. I guess she was inspired by other recent faux-ginger inductees Blake Lively and Emma Stone. While deciding for a non-traditional form of red, she calls this “sun kissed apricot”.

“My colorist Johnny Ramirez and I have been having a lot of fun with my hair lately experimenting with different shades of red. A few months ago, we went with a bright red which then gradually washed out to a strawberry blond, and now I’ve gone with sun kissed apricot!”

So you ACTUALLY didn’t pick this color, it just faded out and now you’re giving it a name? As much as I love dramatic change I think I much prefer Ms. Port to have her usual blond with blond highlights. Whitney took to her Twitter to ask her fans what they thought of her new ‘do. If you haven’t heard of Yelle, what are you waiting for? She’s the French Lady Gaga and she’s kinda awesome. I was first introduced to Yelle’s music, embarrassingly enough, through MTV’s “The Hills“. Remember when Lauren and Whitney headed off to Paris for a debutante ball? So frickin’ funny. I digress.

Yelle is comprised of lead singer Yelle (born Julie Budet), GrandMarnier and Tepr. Their name began as an acronym for “You Enjoy Life” (YEL), but later changed it to Yelle due to a Belgian band claiming rights to the name. Coming off excellent reviews at this year’s Coachella festival, I knew I had to check them out when they hit my fair city. On Friday night, Brian and myself along with our friend Joel and his friend David headed to the Commodore Ballroom to watch my little French goddess. Yelle’s performance was in a single word, mesmerizing.

The fact that Yelle doesn’t sing one iota word in English, yet can pack the house with concert goers who probably aren’t fluent in French speaks volumes about them. Music truly does transcends all. Everyone was dancing their collective butts off from the second Yelle appeared on stage. With her infectious energy, Yelle worked the crowd to a climaxing frenzy. To their credit, Tepr and GrandMarnier, also did their part to get the crowd hanging off their every beat. They were the most active keyboardists I’ve ever seen onstage.
