While it doesn’t come with as much fanfare as Arrested Development or House of Cards, Netflix’s new original series Orange Is The New Black is worth giving a shot. Not only is it winning critics over, but the on-demand Internet streaming media provider is so bullish on the dramedy that it ordered a second season even before premiering. That’s almost unheard of.
Orange Is The New Black is the brainchild of Weeds creator Jenji Kohan. It follows Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), an upper-middle class bisexual woman who finds herself incarcerated for a crime she committed 10 years prior. It’s actually based on Piper Kerman’s memoir sharing her experiences serving a 14-month sentence in a women’s prison in 2004. While the main character is based on Kerman, the rest of the characters are fictional. Rounding out the cast are Jason Biggs, Kate Mulgrew, Laura Pepron and Natasha Lyonne.
If the trailer above piques your interest, all thirteen episodes of Orange Is The New Black are available online on Netflix beginning Thursday at 12 a.m. PDT.
With the photos of Zac Efron grabbing himself and one of his booty making their rounds around the web, I would say that I already feel like ‘The Lucky One.’ Now there’s more hotness coming from Zac Efron as he shows how he’s a pro at able to unhook a bra with one hand.
Zac Efron & Taylor Schilling were doing press for ‘The Lucky One‘ with Hot 30 Countdown and while they discussed their sex scene, the topic of taking the bra off came up. Efron explained to the interviewer how he’s able to do it with ease with only one hand. He was even saying how while he’s doing it he’s “kissing the girl,” etc. “You just pinch… and slide,” explained Efron. Thank you assisting in painting a clear picture of what you’re like when you’re all hot & bothered, Zac!
Check out the interview below and be sure to check out ‘The Lucky One’ when it hits theatres on April 20.
Attention all Nicholas Sparks fans. One of his most beloved books turned film is about to be released and it stars one very sexy famous face. I’m talking about Zac Efron. The film isn’t set for release until April 2012 but it’s already getting major buzz with Efron leading the conversation being seen in such a serious, dramatic role. This is the role I’ve been waiting for ever since being a little disappointed by Charlie St. Cloud. Even in this short preview of the film, I can already tell this will be one of Zac’s best roles to date. Check out a synopsis of the film:
U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Efron) returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive-a photograph he found of a woman he doesn’t even know. Learning her name is Beth (Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.
The film also stars Taylor Schilling and the exceptional Blythe Danner. Director for the film is Scott Hicks who hasn’t stepped into his director shoes since 2009. In the trailer/featurette, we see that author Nicholas Sparks had his hand placed very firmly in the creation of this film which is good considering he wrote the original words on paper. However, he didn’t adapt the novel into the screenplay and left that to Will Fetters. I cannot wait to see this film and sure it won’t disappoint. Watch the trailer below.
