Because, it’s Friday, I thought I’d share a little sexiness with you just to amp up your weekend. Back in July, total hottie and actor Ryan Guzman did an exclusive, sexy and shirtless photo shoot for our friends over at Just Jared. As you can image, the results were absolutely amazing. This clearly defined and cut stud wasn’t afraid to show off just how hard he works for his killer body. He also showed off some of his dance moves and tricks from his latest film, Step Up Revolution.
In the encompassing interview, the 24-year-old was drilled about the film but also answer some fun questions revealing his favorite actors are Tom Hardy and Christian Bale. When it comes to his music selection, Ryan doesn’t stray too far from R&B and Hip Hop citing Usher and Chris Brown as two of his go-tos. Check out some of the sexy shots below and hit the source to see a few with his clothes on.
Now, this is what Haley Reinhart should’ve chosen as her first single. “Undone” is exactly the kind of music that I want from the 21-year-old singer. “Free“, the lead cut from her debut album, didn’t exactly burn up the charts. It stalled at No. 104 on the Billboard Hot 100. Currently, “Free” is being used on this season of So You Think You Can Dance, as the exit song when dancers are eliminated. Perhaps, it’ll get a second life on the charts, but I don’t foresee it. I highly encourage Reinhart to film the music video for “Undone” and start promoting the shizz out of it, as it has the potential to be her breakout single.
“Undone” is the second track from the American Idol Season 10′s album Listen Up!. It’s definitely one of my favorites from her LP and glad she chose it as her next single. During her time on Idol, she performed a killer cover of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep“. Once again, Reinhart channels her inner Adele to belt out this amazing ballad. It definitely could fit seamlessly on the Brit’s 21 album. It’s very Adele-esque.
For the lyric video, images and clips from Step Up 4: Revolution are used. That sexy Ryan Guzman and Kathryn McCormick show off their contemporary dance skills while Reinhart’s lyrics type across the screen. Check it out below.
Colin Farrell’s attempt to channel Arnold Schwarzenegger was no match for the Caped Crusader. For the third week in a row, “The Dark Knight Rises” topped the box office. The Christopher Nolan blockbuster added another $36 million, giving it a grand total of $354 thus far. Even though the film dropped only 41% compared to the previous film’s 43% during the same time frame, the Batman finale won’t reach its predecessor’s total of $533 in domestic sales. “The Dark Knight Rises”, however, has a good chance of topping “The Dark Knight” in worldwide sales thanks to strong international grosses.
Meanwhile, back to Sony’s reboot of “Total Recall“. The Colin Farrell-fronted film landed in the runner-up spot with only $26 million. Given the original 1990 film opened with $25.5, Sony has to be upset with the remake’s box office performance. Sony claims it spent $125 on the film, while other reports say it ballooned towards the $200 million mark. With its slow start, I don’t think “Total Recall” has a shot of becoming profitable for the studio.
Rounding out the Top 5 were “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days”, “Ice Age: Continental Drift” and “The Watch” in descending order. A couple of films in the Top 10 reached milestones this weekend. “Ted” past the $200 million mark and “The Amazing Spider-Man” reached $250 million. Check out how the rest of the Top 10 films fared below.
Honestly, its no surprise to me that once again, “The Dark Knight Rises” has reached the top spot at the box office this weekend. Despite the tragedy that has somewhat overshadowed the film, it still continues to bring movie goers to fill the seats. I have yet to get my butt to the theatre to check out the final installment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The Dark Knight managed to outshine two openers.
“The Watch” brought in an estimated $13 million and edged in at number three this weekend just shy of second place held by family film, “Ice Age: Continental Drift.” Another opener this weekend that failed to make moves at the box office was “Step Up Revolution,” which opened to mixed review from critics. The fourth installment in this franchise is also in 3D. Check out the weekend’s box office results below.
Jennifer Lopez turned 43-years-old this week, but who can tell. The former “American Idol” judge looks as spry and young as she did during her fly girl days on “In Living Color“. Lopez still has the dance moves (and tacky wardrobe) that she sported on the FOX show.
Lopez just premiered her brand new music video “Goin’ In” on MTV. The track featuring Flo Rida is off the soundtrack from dance flick “Step Up Revolution“. J. Lo hired Ace Norton to director her new visual. Norton’s previous credits include working with Foster The People, Scissor Sisters and Norah Jones to name a few.
The clip begins with Lopez wearing a pink cape and rhinestone-covered lips. She then proceeds to blow a dandelion which quickly transforms into specks of glitter. From then on, it’s an onslaught of shiny shimmery neon. The look and feel of the clip is very reminiscent of her “Brave” album era.
Also featured in the clip are Flo Rida, Lamborghinis and a bunch of backup dancers, which includes boyfriend Casper Smart. It’s interesting though that Smart isn’t as heavily featured in this clip as he was on “Dance Again“. Trouble in paradise? Watch the video below.
With ‘Step Up Revolution‘ about to premiere in theatres, a new song from the soundtrack has been released called “Feel Alive“. The song is a collaboration between Fergie, Pitbull, and DJ Poet and with the up beat sound, it’s bound to make you “feel alive”.
In the chorus, Fergie sings, “Wake me up in the morning, slow me down in the evening. Give me whatever you want to make me feel alive.” There’s a lot of Pitbull and DJ Poet rapping in the song, but there’s enough Fergie to make you feel Fergilicious while you’re up in the gym just working on some fitness.
If you haven’t seen any of the previews for ‘Step Up Revolution,’ you should. It’s not usually my thing (more a Tyrell thing), but the previews look so good and the dance scenes look epic. Not to mention that it’s in 3D so it should be a good time. You can watch the first 3 minutes of the film here should you feel like wetting your appetite. In the meantime, give “Feel Alive” a listen below and let me know what you think.
Friday, July 27 is just around the corner and “Step Up Revolution” will be dancing its way into theaters near you. Featuring some of the industries leading choreographers in film and TV, the movie promises to show off some really slick moves not seen in the previous Step Up films. In fact, it’s being said that this instalment in the series is the most diverse in dance style yet. Did I mention that it’s also available in 3D?
The synopsis of the film is set in Miami, FL. Sean played by Ryan Guzman leads a flash mob troupe known as “The Mob”. Their dancing antics have garnered the attention of Miami newbie Emily played my So You Think You Can Dance alumni, Kathryn McCormick. When a big corporate business man plans to tear down their homes and neighborhood, Emily and Sean team up to rebel and make a difference through dance. Sounds compelling right? If the trailer hasn’t given you enough of a tease, you can watch the first three minutes of the film’s opening sequence below.
I was channel surfing the other day and noticed this week’s Man Crush in a movie trailer. Instantly, I became smitten with Ryan Guzman. Frequent readers of Homorazzi.com know I have a thing for hot guys with some serious hip-hop swagger. And Guzman has it oozing out of his pores. The 6-foot-tall stud is starring in “Step Up Revolution“- the fourth installment of the popular dance film franchise.
Naturally, he’s being compared to Channing Tatum, with some predicting he could follow Tatum’s footsteps to super stardom. Personally, I hope he follows Channing all the way to the “Magic Mike” sequel (yup, a sequel is being developed). I’d like to see Ryan bust out some sexy stripper moves ;) Papa has some dollar bills to spend.
“Step Up Revolution” marks Guzman’s acting debut. Previously, he worked as a model and was represented by Look Model Agency. The hazel-eyed hottie scored plenty of gigs due to his rock hard abs and adorable smile. His most noteworthy booking came in 2009 when he modeled for Calvin Klein underwear.
Tyrell wrote about Ryan Guzman when he first landed his role in the “Step Up” flick back in 2011. With “Step Up Revolution” hitting theaters soon, I thought it was time to re-introduce this stud. If you read Tyrell’s post, I purposely chose different photos than he did. Check out the pictures I picked below.
