With the SAG Awards having taken place last Sunday, and the Super Bowl this Sunday, I’m definitely going through Revenge withdrawals on Sunday night. Thankfully, it’s returning the following Sunday and with the news of Emily’s hot foster brother joining the mix, a wedding coming up, and a major shocker around the bend, I’m totally stoked.
Paparazzi were on set or at least nearby watching Revenge bing filmed and the scene was a funeral and pretty much the entire cast was there. Notice how I said “pretty much”. That’s right, it’s believed that one of the core cast members and integral characters is going to die in an upcoming episode. I hadn’t really thought about that possibility, but if last season was any indication, expect the unexpected and anyone is fair game.
With observations made by the paparazzi and as evidenced by the pictures, certain conclusions have been made as to who people think has died. If you don’t want to know who the funeral was likely for, do not read on.
With the help of recording devices, nowadays we are able to watch our favorite TV shows on our own time. However, with that has come a new problem: Spoilers. When people watch an eastern feed of a certain show, it’s easy to spoil for the westerners. Or say you’re busy at a dinner one night and won’t get to watch your favorite TV show until the following evening, you run the huge risk of being spoiled at work or on Facebook the following day.
I will fully admit, we’ve had our share of accidental “spoils” on Facebook when we post our articles, but when that happens, it’s definitely an accident. Still, people take their television very seriously and it’s a big no-no.
In the following funny video by College Humor, stars from some of your favorite TV shows lay out the “Official Spoiler Rules” so that it you can learn how not to shows for your friends and this can all be settled once and for all. As shown above, Michael Trucco from Battlestar Galactica (which DEFINITELY cannot be spoiled) is one of the famous faces in the video. Enjoy!
As much I as I love the holiday season, there is one major downside- RERUN HELL. There’s barely anything to watch during this time and I’m deprived of all my guilty pleasures. So not FETCH (you’re welcome Gretchen Weiners). Who doesn’t love watching a show or two to unwind, after a hectic day? I know I do. And after all the holiday parties and obligations, some downtime is definitely needed.
One of the shows I’m definitely missing the most is ABC’s “Revenge“. Can you believe by the time the drama’s eleventh episode airs next week, it’ll be a month since we were treated to a brand new episode. So not DOUBLY FETCH.
When “Revenge” returns next week on January 4th with the episode “Duress“, we are treated to a celebration of sorts. Prodigal son Daniel Grayson celebrates his birthday by way of a clam bake. I’m sure his mom Victoria isn’t super excited about this and the idea of shucking clams. But that should be the least of her worries. It looks like Tyler goes a little cray cray and crashes the party with “revenge” on his mind. If you’re like me and can’t wait til next Wednesday, you can watch the first nine minutes courtesy of ABC. The opening scene with “Moonlight Sonata” playing in the background is chilling. I can’t wait to see how Emily escapes this predicament.
“Gossip Girl” is one of those shows that I still watch, mostly out of habit than anything else. It truly hasn’t ever been to replicate the magic that was the first season. That being said, there are moments in the past couple of seasons that I have enjoyed. Most notably the Charlie/Ivy storyline this season. Just when you think everyone is going to find out she’s not the real Charlie Rhodes, she manages to escape discovery.
The other development I’ve enjoyed, I’ll divulge in a second. I’m just going to do a bit of a build up first. On Monday Decemeber 5th’s show, Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) will no longer be “Lonely Boy“. Someone’s getting a new roommate. Before you panic that it’s that milquetoast publicist of his… it’s not. TGIF. The producers do seem to have a habit of pairing up Humphrey with the most boring love interests. From Vanessa to Hilary Duff, no one has matched the same chemistry he had with Serena during the first season. Hopefully, that’s about to change.
If you’re a fan of Glee, this is the gift that just keeps on giving. After debuting their 300th musical performance mash-up of their Adele mash up, FOX has decided to release the rest of the music from this Tuesday’s upcoming episode titled Mash-Off. Glee has also been known for creating their unique mash-ups of songs with similar themes and concepts but this time, Glee kept it “in the family” if you will be having the mash-ups be two songs from the same artist.
The artists getting the Glee treatment this week are Pat Benatar with her songs Hit Me With Your Best Shot and One Way or Another, Hall & Oates with You Make My Dreams Come True and I Can’t Go For That and Shelby and Will square off for a You And I mash-up courtesy of Lady Gaga and Eddie Rabbitt. To be honest, I haven’t been a fan of many of their attempts to put two songs together. However, I think this time, they actually did a pretty good job. The Pat Benatar one in particular is quite well done.
But, the one song that has caught my ear in particular is Puck (played by Mark Salling) doing a rendition of Hot For Teacher which was originally done by Van Halen. Look at Glee digging into some metal music. I’m assuming that Puck is singing this about his new found love for Troubletones leader, Shelby. So what are you waiting for? Listen to all the mash-ups below.
This season of Bachelor Pad has been a steamy, romantic and feisty one… all of the components I love in my reality television. I know this summer’s show was going to be a doosey after all of the contestants told the cameras who they didn’t want to see in the house and then one by one, those enemies started to get out of limos. Amazing.
One of my favorite “storylines” this season is the romance and forbidden love between Blake Julian and Holly Durst. To catch you up, Holly used to be engaged to former Bachelorette contestant Michael Stagliano. The two broke off their engagement prior to the show but decided to come back to the house as friends and as partners. While the two seemed to be falling back in love, along came Blake in for the pounce. The two had started flirting in earlier episodes but the two truly hit off during the kissing competition.
Hello, Upper East Siders. Looks like two characters won’t be receiving invites to return next year. Gossip Girl herself might never tell, but I will. For Gossip Girl’s fifth season, the producers are shaking things up. Two series regulars who’ve been with the show since Season 1 aren’t coming back full-time. Not surprising, Taylor Momsen (Jenny Humphrey) is one of the two casualties. She’s only appeared in a handful of episodes this year despite being a series regular. While the showrunners claim it’s due to the organic nature of the story and nothing else, there was early speculation Taylor’s off-set antics were responsible for her limited screen time.
The second actress given the heave-ho is Jessica Szohr who plays “wham, bam, thank you ma’am” Vanessa Abrams. Seriously, whenever any of the guys hook up with her, they discard her faster than yesterday’s newspaper. After joining forces with Jenny and Juliet to drug Serena this year, she’s been on the outs with everyone on the show. A few episodes ago, Vanessa revealed that she’d be studying abroad next season. Maybe Hilary Duff and her can participate in threeways all across Europe. Though both Szohr and Momsen won’t be regulars for Season 5, they’ve already been invited back to guest star next season. Probably to stir up trouble, as per usual.
Have you been watching The Office lately? If not, you should because with the draw to Michael Scott’s departure, it’s getting really good. To fill you in, Will Ferrell has been introduced as a new character named Deangelo Vickers. It appears that Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell is grooming him to become the next boss of the Scranton Dunder Mifflin branch. However, some new season finale spoilers have me thinking that maybe, things are about to shift once again in the cubicles.
Funny man Jim Carrey has signed on for the season finale of The Office and his character is apparently interviewing for Michael Scott’s job. So what about Deangelo Vickers? Well according to cast member Jim Krasinski, Will Ferrell does not appear in the season finale. Can you imagine? Jim Carrey on The Office? That would be awesome in my opinion.
