During a performance by Richard and Adam Johnson on the season finale of Britain’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell found himself trying to dodge eggs. As the finalists sang, Natalie Holt, a viola player from the backup orchestra, stood from her chair and began throwing eggs at the Brit judge. Security immediately whisked her away but not before Cowell was hit. After the performance, Simon joked about the incident saying “I didn’t like eggs. Now I really don’t like them.”
The most remarkable thing about the entire incident is that Richard and Adam didn’t miss a note and continued to sing “The Impossible Dream” as mayhem ensued all around them. Consummate professionals indeed.
What prompted Holt’s actions? Apparently, she competed on the show last year with her band Raven Quartet. Natalie, a BAFTA-nominated composer who appeared in the closing ceremony of last summer’s Olympics, has subsequently apologized for her actions. “I want to apologize to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I’ve never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realized it was a silly thing to do.” Watch the entire thing go down below, along with Cowell’s immediate reaction.

Just a day after FOX made the official announcement, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio joined Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell at the judges table. The two freshwomen arrived on their first day of their new gig on time. I couldn’t say the same for Cowell.
Three beautiful ladies and Simon is the one who’s taking the longest to get ready. In actuality, the Brit judge kept the three ladies waiting due to traffic problems as a result of flooding caused by heavy rains in the area. The FOX reality show began its first day of filming Season 3 in Charleston, South Carolina on Tuesday May 21.
As the ladies waited for their boss, Kelly joked, “Ooooh, I’ll be Simon,” as she plopped herself in his seat. When Cowell finally arrived, he asked the audience, “Is it a coincidence that when I arrive, everything gets better?” That cocky Brit ;)
Speaking of seating assignments, I was a little surprised that Rowland received the coveted spot by Cowell. Given his chemistry with Lovato, I thought she’d remain in her slot. Perhaps, during the audition process the show will play around with the seating arrangement to determine the best fit. Check out more photos from the first day of filming below.
FOX is expected to make a formal announcement tomorrow when production begins in Charleston, N.C., but EW.com is confirming the official judging lineup for The X Factor Season 3. Unlike previous seasons, or any singing show for that matter, the panel will consist of three ladies and one man. The complete opposite of The Voice’s current format of three men and one woman. I’m sure Simon Cowell won’t mind sharing the spotlight with three talented and attracted women.
As previously reported, it appears Kelly Rowland is heading back to the X Factor family. The 32-year-old singer previously sat on the panel on the UK version, the year Little Mix won. Find out who the third judge is below. Here’s a hint: Cowell is adding a little bit of spice.

If you thought Heidi Klum joining America’s Got Talent as a judge was odd, this might just put you over the edge. Clearly, Simon Cowell is going with a different approach as a possible replacement for the departing Britney Spears. You can’t get more out-of-the-box than this. The 53-year-old Brit is very interested with this actress who was once a teen queen on the small screen and on the silver one. Find out who might be joining Demi Lovato and Cowell on The X Factor judging panel below.

Back in February, there were rumblings that Khloe Kardashian wasn’t coming back for the third season of The X Factor. FOX just released a statement officially announcing the 28-year-old reality star’s departure from the singing competition.
“Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor,” the show’s producers said in a statement. “We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
Staying on board though is Mario Lopez. No word if another personality will join him to co-host Season 3, but most likely he’ll do it solo. Having two hosts was completely unnecessary, IMHO. That said, I didn’t completely hate Khloe in that role. Her wardrobe malfunctions, awkward hosting skills and even more awkward on-air flirtations with Simon Cowell were somewhat entertaining to watch.
“I’m thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor,” said Cowell in a statement. “Hosting a live show and keeping the judges – especially Demi – in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back.”
Will you miss her? Do you think Mario can do the gig all by himself? I hope they don’t bring Lopez until the live performances. I actually quite enjoyed the audition process and boot camp portions without a host. It had that Hills-like quality about it. Don’t you agree? Sound off below.

Compared to last year, it’s been relatively quiet on The X Factor casting front. Before Britney Spears and Demi Lovato officially came on board, practically every pop star’s name was mentioned as a possible replacement for Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. This year, with exception to Cheryl Cole, there really hasn’t been anyone I can recall as a rumored potential judge.
With so many singing competitions on the air, not to mention in the UK and Australia, the pool of interested musicians wanting to judge is very limited. Maybe that explains this potential rumor. That, or musicians might think the FOX show is a sinking ship and don’t want any part of it. Find out who’s reportedly in the mix below.
The journey is not over for the girls of Fifth Harmony. Camila Cabello, Ally Brooke, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen and Lauren Jauregui announced this morning that they have been OFFICIALLY signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco Music and LA Reid’s Epic Records. This news comes just one month after the girls placed third in the most recent season of The X-Factor.
I cannot begin to explain how ridiculously and irrationally excited I am from this news. Ever since the judge’s homes round when they were first put together as a group and performed “Impossible,” Donovan and I have loved them and obsessed over them. They were always my choice to win and we would constantly re-watch their previous week’s performances in anticipation of the next week. Even now that X-Factor is over, we still play a lot of their performances when we get together.
