In 2012, New York based photographer James Houston began a journey to celebrate the beauty of nature and raise funds for Global Green USA. He recorded the journey in a twelve-part webisode series, leading up to the launch of the Natural Beauty exhibition (at Milk Gallery NYC) and accompanying photography book.
In one of the episodes, he enlists the world’s No. 1 male model Sean O’Pry to go shirtless for his photography book, Natural Beauty. It aims to raise awareness about environmental issues. The book includes 120 stunning images of some of the world’s leading models and celebrities advocating with Houston for environmental awareness, including Emma Watson, Christy Turlington, Adrian Grenier, Brooke Shields, Arizona Muse, Elle Macpherson and many more. Check out the results of Sean’s photo session with Houston below.

If Ryan Murphy does go ahead with that Men of McKinley High calendar featuring the male cast of Glee, he should really book Christian Rios to snap the pics. The photographer does an excellent job of capturing Chord Overstreet’s (Sam Evans) hotness. The picture alone is enough incentive to purchase Rios’ new coffee table book titled, Dreamers NYC.
The 2012 edition of Rios’ book with VNY model Simon Van Meervenne on the cover is in part a fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy. In addition to Overstreet, Patrick Schwarzenegger and The Following’s Nico Tortorella join top male models in the beautifully-shot book. Paris Hilton’s latest boy toy, River Viiperi, Vladimir Ivanov and Round 1 winner of our 2012 Male Behavior Showdown, Sean O’Pry are some of the fashion industry’s top names who posed for the celeb photographer. Check out a few of the images below.
It’s that time of the year again where I pit my Model Behavior choices against each other. Every week I attempt to pick a hot male model to salivate over. Whether they’re from high-fashion or the fitness sector, a rising star or one at the top of their game, I try to represent all aspects of the industry. If you don’t see your favorite in this round, perhaps they’ve competed in a previous year or will pop up in a future round.
So without further ado, let’s take a look back at the sexy male models who were featured during the first third of 2012. Be sure to vote often for the ones you think are the hottest. No wonder Sean O’Pry is currently Models.com No. 1 ranked male model and No. 2 raking money guy, dude keeps popping up everywhere. Once again, Lucky Brand taps the Georgia native for its holiday ad campaign. The concept is relatively simple with O’Pry against a white background while posing in various “lucky” situations for the American label. Sean looks absolutely adorable in ‘The Lucky One’ campaign, especially in the “lucky streak” photo ;)
To be perfectly honest, I don’t think I even own one thing from Lucky Brand. I decided to share these photos because O’Pry is one of my favorite male models of the moment. If you have a craving for more shirtless pics, be sure to check out my previous Model Behavior post on him. If you weren’t a fan before, you will be after all those pics.
For this week’s Model Behavior feature, I thought I’d give you the cream of the crop. Meet Sean O’Pry. He’s currently ranked No. 1 on models.com. This 22-year-old is at the top of his game, frequently scoring gigs for major advertising campaigns. Forbes named him their Most Successful Model in 2009. Not too shabby for someone who was discovered on MySpace. Remember when people actually used that site? Guess who plucked him out of obscurity? It was former “America’s Next Top Model” judge, Nolé Marin. I guess, he did have an eye for talent after all.
This Kennesaw, Georgia native is known for his pillowed lips and hooded blue eyes. It’s those attributes that have landed him major gigs for Calvin Klein, DSquared2, Gianfranco Ferre, Diesel, Gap, Lacost, DKNY, Fendi, H&M etc. I could keep go on with his runway credits, photographers he’s worked with and other campaigns, but that would take all day. On a personal note, Sean-O, as his friends and family call him, misses Southern food the most, especially Waffle House. His other interests include lacrosse and football. Check out a sampling of Sean O’Pry’s work below. You won’t be disappointed.
How’s that for a life achievement at only 22 years old?! Male supermodel, Sean O’Pry (represented exclusively by VNY) is now ranked number one male model in the world by Models.com. For the past few years he’s been ranked number two after Mathias Lauridsen, but now he’s numero uno. He’s modeled for all the biggest designers and done countless runway shows. I should also note that in 2009, he was named “The Most Successful Male Model” by Forbes as well.
So, just how did he get into modeling? He was “discovered” of course! In 2006 when he was only 17 years old, O’Pry was discovered by fashion-icon Nolé Marin (who was also been a judge on ANTM) was scouted from his prom photos on MySpace. Wow – how random is that!? And by that I mean MySpace actually proving useful – LOL.
So what’s O’Pry known for? Well, if you couldn’t already tell by the photo above, this Georgia state stud is famous for his pillowed lips and hooded blue eyes.
Here’s a little mid-week eye candy for you. Photographer Dean Isidro was recently on assignment for GQ China and captured some of the action via video. The short-film previewing the upcoming GQ China editorial will leave you in awe. Not only is there a hot dude in the video, the idyllic beach side absolutely breathtaking, but it’s also beautifully shot.
Isidro studied photography and art history at Pepperdine University and in Italy. His portfolio includes editorial work for Elle, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, NY Times and commercial clients for major fashion labels like Victoria’s Secret, Nautica and Bergdorf Goodman.
For this fashion shoot, Dean Isidro photographed American male super model, Sean O’Pry, who was at one time, the face of Calvin Klein. O’Pry is best known for his piercing blue eyes and pillowed lips. The shoot was beautifully styled by stylist, Sean Spellman.
