Lifetime used to be the home of cheesy biopics. The network is now pushing hard to become synonymous with unauthorized movies taking aim at classic television series as well, specifically ones from the 90s decade. Someone at the network clearly has a serious addiction problem 😉

On the heels of Saved By The Bell, and the upcoming Full House tell-all specials, comes one about the world’s most well-known zip code. The Hollywood Reporter reveals Lifetime just greenlit The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story.

After seeing paparazzi shots of Mark-Paul Gosselaar on the beach filming his new show Franklin & Bash, I was inspired to do a Who’d You Rather: Saved By The Bell edition. Now, we can all walk a mile in Kelly Kapowski’s shoes. Choosing between these two is no easy task. I can’t believe we haven’t pitted these two against each other yet. It’s well documented that Mario Lopez still has a bangin’ body, but Gosselaar isn’t looking too shabby himself. Time has been kind to both these studs.

Since his days playing AC Slater on the classic teen sitcom, Lopez has mostly delved in the reality genre. The 39-year-old carved a niche as the go-to person to host a show. Lopez’s hosting credits include Extra, America’s Best Dance Crew and The X Factor. Before hosting, he competed on the third season of Dancing With The Stars where he was the runner-up. Mario also fronted his own reality docu-series, Mario Lopez: Saved By The Baby on VH1. My favorite post-SBTB gig hands down is his guest starring stint on Nip/Tuck. That shower scene was everything 😉 Lopez is currently married to Courtney Mazza. The two have a daughter named Gia Francesca and are expecting their second child this September.

Unlike his Saved By The Bell co-star Lopez, the former Zack Morris has mainly stayed in the scripted genre. The 39-year-old actor has multiple television credits. Gosselaar starred in NYPD Blue from 2001-2005. Currently, he’s co-headlining TNT’s Franklin & Bash with Breckin Meyer. Like Mario, Mark-Paul has showed off his juicy butt. You can Google those beautiful screencaps from his TNT show and a guest spot on Showtime’s Weeds. He’s also guest starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Happy Endings and Rizzoli & Isles. Mark-Paul is currently married to Catriona McGinn. The two are expecting their first child in September like Lopez. How coincidental is that? Gosselaar has two other children from a previous marriage.

Without further ado, check out the guys from their days on Saved By The Bell to today. Don’t forget to cast your vote at the end.

Now that The Today Show is consistently in second place to Good Morning America, producers will stop at nothing to get an edge up. Even if that comes at the expense of their guests. Case in point, Tiffani Thiessen’s appearance on today’s episode. The 39-year-old actress (can you believe Kelly Kapowski is that old?) was all ready to play a round of trivia with Today staff when she was blindsided by one of her Saved By The Bell co-stars. Cue Mr. Belding aka Dennis Haskins.

It’s clear from the look on her face that Tiffani was unimpressed and uncomfortable with the situation. Even when Haskins comes over to shake her hand, she’s at a loss for words. You’d think after working for several years together, they’d greet each other with a hug. Once the surprise wore off and reality set it, Thiessen was a good sport and played along. I wouldn’t expect anything else from perky Kelly. After all, she was the most popular girl at Bayside High. Check out the mini Saved By The Bell reunion below.

Holy ’90s blast-from-the-past mashup, Batman! She’s All That star Rachel Leigh Cook joins Saved By The Bell hottie, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Growing Pains legend, Tracey Gold in a hilarious new Funny or Die video tackling the crimes of the craft world and the black market world of In the intro to the video, the site is explained as follows: “To many, it’s the website that women all over America turn to when their poetry careers don’t take off. But beneath it’s crafty veneer lies a teaming, unregulated black market and one person rules it all with an iron fist.”

In the following video, we learn that Etsy is run by a maniacal queen named Ellie Harper (Rachel Leigh Cook). After Maggie Chester (Tracey Gold) is attacked by the Queen of Etsy, FBI Agent Michael Peck (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) investigates. Harper is one woman that you don’t want to mess with. If you’ve seen Savages, she’s essentially Elena, which was Salma Hayek’s character (minus the accent and the drugs).

Where Is Lisa Turtle Now?

In: Random Reads, TV Shows, Tyrell, Videos

Hey Saved By The Bell fans – this post is for you. I recently came across an interview courtesy of The Yo Show which host and comedian Michael Yo where he interviewed the famous Lisa Turtle – cough – I mean Lark Voorhies. It’s hard to believe but, it’s almost been two decades since the show went off the air.

So, where is Lark hanging her hat these days? In the interview, Lark chats with Michael Yo about her production company and the new film she just executive produced, wrote, directed and starred in titled “Hope For Pandora’s Box.” But quickly, Yo sends the conversation in the direction we all know her from.

Michael takes Lisa back to the early days of “Saved By The Bell” and asks her about it’s early beginnings with the Disney Channel before NBC quickly bought the rights in the quick rise to popularity. They talk favorite episodes and address the rumors that she was dating/dated co-star Mark-Paul Gosselaar. One thing you will notice in the interview right way is that Lark Voorhies appearance has drastically changed. Wearing a lipstick that I can only describe as matching her hair color, Lark has come a long way from being the fresh-faced Lisa Turtle well knew and loved. However, her personality hasn’t changed a bit and she even hints a little bit that a “Saved By The Bell” reunion could be in the works. Oh god, I really hope so!

Everyone’s favorite 90s Saturday morning sitcom seems to be experiencing an resurgence lately. Whether it was Jimmy Fallon’s public plea for a “Saved By The Bell” reunion or Urban Outfitters selling Kelly Kapowski t-shirts that have been worn by Justin Bieber and our very own Rich, the Bayside High crew is as popular as ever. Admittedly, I’m a huge fan of the shows and all of it’s acid wash awesomeness. Long live Buddy Bands.

In a very unique marketing move, a short parody music video was filmed to promote “Final Destination 5″ hitting theaters this week. Not sure if it’s an official viral video sanctioned by the studio, but it’s certainly a creative way to promote the horror flick.

The music video, titled “New Romance“, re-imagines the teen sitcom as a cheesy horror flick. It was directed by the lead actor in the latest Final Destination flick, Miles Fisher. Watch as the characters of the show are maimed and killed in the halls of Bayside High or at their favorite diner. There’s even an awesome reference to Jesse Spano’s caffeine pill addiction. Watch the clip and I guarantee you’ll get a chuckle or two.

WOW! You do learn something new everyday. Former “Saved By The Bell” teen star, Elizabeth Berkley is the latest celebrity to jump on the author bandwagon and write a book. Surprisingly, it’s NOT a tell-all book titled, “How Showgirls Ruined My Career“. LOL. Instead, it’s a book aimed at teen girls to help them through the challenging high school years. Who knew Jesse Spano was so multifaceted?

Speaking of her SBTB character. The genesis of the book actually occurred when “Saved By The Bell” went into international syndication. All of a sudden, a new generation of girls recognized her and were asking her for help. She explained:

“They would come up to me for an autograph or a picture but it led to more meaningful dialogue. I suppose because I was genuinely interested in what they had to say.”

Ask Elizabeth” isn’t so much an advice book, but rather a diary-style written book sprinkled with “action steps” and “healing tools.” As she says, “It’s not enough to just talk about the issues. What do you do about them.”

“Everyone just talks about the problems our teenage girls are facing and what they’re dealing with,” says Berkley. “But there was, to me, a void in how they were being served or helped. I thought, ‘Wow, I’d love to create something.’”

TV Flashback: Does This Show Ring A “Bell”?

In: TV Shows, Tyrell

If you are a child of the 90’s, you remember this classic Saturday morning staple. Saved By The Bell ran for 5 Seasons as a part of TNBC and followed with multiple spin-offs like The College Years and the The New Class. It was also the lead in for two TV movies with the original cast titled Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style and Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas. But where did it all begin and more importantly, where are they now?

Saved by the Bell followed the exploits of teens in high school and their relationship with their principal, Mr. Belding. This teen comedy was meant to be funny and dramatic and showcase teenage life, but with a message. The cast included some then “unknowns”. Zack Morris was played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar. He is the charming schemer who always has “a plan” for everything. He was also a self proclaimed ladies man which got him into trouble with the ladies more than helping him out. AC Slater was played by Mario Lopez and was the token jock of the group of friends. He’s the school’s star athlete and Zack’s best friend. Kelly Kapowski was played by Tiffani-Amber Thiessen. She was the cheerleader and “All-American Girl” and dated both Zack and Slater. Screech Powers was played by Dustin Diamond. Screech is the school nerd and has an undying love for Lisa Turtle. Lisa Turtle was played by Lark Voorhies. She was the trendy, talkative fashion expert and the gossip queen of Bayside. Jessie Spano was played by Elizabeth Berkley and was the know-it-all crusader. She is Zack’s childhood friend and next door neighbor. She also dated Zack and Slater.

Where are they all now?
