During the New Now Next Honors earlier this week, LOGO took the opportunity to reveal the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8. It’s about friggin’ time 😉

The premiere will be a supersized 90-minute extravaganza on Monday, March 7. As it turns out, the premiere also marks a drag milestone as it features the 100th episode and 100th drag queen to sashay into the work room. Expect an unpredictable season full of head-turning twists.

“This is an amazing time to be producing television,” said executive producer RuPaul Charles. “The fact that ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ is celebrating its 100th episode is undeniable proof that there is an insatiable hunger for authentic, unfiltered and ribald voices that not only challenge the norm, but help redefine mainstream media.”

The drag queens will be competing for a $100,000 cash prize and more importantly, the coveted title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.”

The ones that made a solid first impression for me right away include Kim Chi, Naomi Smalls, Acid Betty and Derrick Barry. If you’ve been to Las Vegas, you’ll recognize Barry. Girlfriend does a sensational Britney Spears impersonation. If she makes it to the Snatch Game, you just know Barry will bring out his best Brit. Meet all the 12 fierce queens vying for your hearts this season.

With a new holiday album, Slay Belles, to pimp out, it only makes sense RuPaul films a holiday spectacular to promote it. RuPaul’s Drag Race: Green Screen Christmas airs on Logo on December 13.

“This holiday TV special and new Christmas album Slay Belles are my gifts to all the truly twisted RuPaul’s Drag Race fans around the world, who continue to inspire me with their love for everything sickening and fabulous,” – RuPaul

The glittery extravaganza will no doubt entertain. On tap to appear alongside Ru are Todrick Hall and Michelle Visage, along with Drag Race alums including Latrice Royale, Raja, Alyssa Edwards, Laganja Estranja, and Shangela.

The 55-year-old drag superstar will also unveil her new music video, “Merry Christmas, Mary,” during the special. Reportedly, the visual will feature 20 queens from past seasons of the drag competition. Check out a preview of the special below.

Drag Race Alums Team Up For Christmas Album

RuPaul isn’t the only queen releasing a Christmas album this holiday season. Alums from her Logo show are also dropping a festive LP. The students have become the master 😉

Competing with Ru’s Slay Belles for your money is Christmas Queens featuring fan favorites from RuPaul’s Drag Race including Manila Luzon, Detox, Sharon Needles, Violet Chacki, Willam to name a few. The compilation album features covers of classics as well as original tunes.

Surprisingly, one of the show’s most talented vocalists, Adore Delano, isn’t involved. Perhaps some wig-snatching behind-the-scenes drama? Where’s an episode of Untucked when you need one 😉

Christmas Queens drops on November 13. Check out one of the tracks below, “Christmas Sweater” by Alaska, Courtney Act and Willam. Weigh in afterward if you hope to find Ru’s Slay Belles or this album in your stocking come Christmas Day.

On September 14, 1985, NBC premiered the ground-breaking sitcom The Golden Girls. The beloved show aired for seven seasons, snagged numerous Emmys and won over legions of fans. On the 30th anniversary of the series premiere, Logo is airing “30 Isn’t a Drag” marathon. The network will air classic episodes on Sept 12 and 13.

The entire extravaganza will be hosted by a quartet of RuPaul’s Drag Race alums. Shangela takes on everyone’s favorite elderly Sicilian, Sophia. Delta Work gets her Dorothy Zbornak on while Pandora Boxx and Willam transform into Rose Nylund and Blanche Devereaux respectively. Check out their transformations below courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

Keeping it real. Not every new single from a RuPaul’s Drag Race alum is of Grammy-winning calibre, let alone worth listening to. Some of them are pure garbage. Manila Luzon, who was robbed on Drag Race and All-Stars, just dropped a new track that’s actually quite good.

Ice Cream” is a little Iggy Azalea-lite but lots of fun. The lyrics are full of sexual entendres and innuendos. The accompanying clip is equally as racy. From a human Neapolitan ice cream dish (Jardon Derrick, Montana Volby, Timothy Willy) to a banana split worth every calorie, the music video is jam-packed with eye-popping visuals. It even ends with Luzon being the recipient of whipped cream bukkake.

Jon Varak, Eddie Eduardo, Casey Everett, Landon Scott, Eric East, Chris Serrato, Joey “Little Roo” Hakim, Austin Watie, Andres Hunt, Jonny Manzanares, Chancelor Dayne, Dexter Mayfield, Chaz Knight, Alex Bullon, Danny Luna, Mackenzie Green all make appearances. Manila’s fellow Drag Race Heather Delta Work also makes a cameo. Check out the Brad Hammer-directed video below.

rupauls-drag-race-all-stars-season-2

Although the inaugural RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars season received a lukewarm reception, LOGO announced a second season of returning favorites vying for redemption is coming. Hopefully this time, Ru doesn’t pair up the contestants. Some queens definitely got screwed due to the pair eliminations. Let’s face it, that season was all about giving Ru’s favorite Chad Michaels the crown.

“They arrive as drag artists. They leave as international stars,” Executive Producer RuPaul teases in the promo clip. “The chance to bring back the best of the best for a new season of All Stars is a dream come true for me and their legions of fans around the world.”

The news comes on the heels of the drag competition scoring its first ever Primetime Creative Emmy Awards nomination– Outstanding Make-up for a Multi-Camera Series or Special (Non-Prosthetic).

Who are you hoping comes back for another round of epic lip syncs, wigtastic challenges, fierce sashay catwalks? Sound off below after watching the video announcement.

Bitch I’m A Condom Parody Promotes Safe Sex

I’m pretty sure you’ve seen a parody or two poking fun at Madonna’s “Bitch, I’m Madonna” visual. The colorful clip is ripe for the picking. This one is by far the best I’ve seen. The humorous clip also serves as a PSA.

Impulse United corralled some of your favorite West Hollywood personalities for its first ever Safer Sex parody. RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Manila Luzon and Pandora Boxx make cameos as well as Andrew Christian model Pablo Hernandez and Queer Eye veteran Jai Rodriguez.

If that wasn’t enough to make you tune it, there’s a hot stud dressed as a life-sized condom in the mix. Check out the Brad Hammer-directed spoof below. You won’t be disappointed.

rupauls-drag-race-season-7-finalists

It’s pretty customary these days for the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race to debut a music video immediately after her coronation. For Season 7, all three Top 3 finalists got in on the action. Definitely wise to capitalize on all the publicity.

I only caught the Season 7 premiere of the drag competition, so I have no real allegiance either way, on whom I’m rooting for to have the best post-Drag Race career. However, if any of the finalists are reading, I can be bought 😉

Violet Chachki may have walked away with the crown, but does she have the best single? IMHO, Chachki has the best music video, but with regards to the best produced track, I’d give the edge to Ginger Minj. She’s by far the best vocalist among the three. Watch their videos below, along with Pearl’s. Be sure to weigh in afterward on which you prefer the best.
