I wonder if Reese Witherspoon tried to channel her inner Elle Woods during her run-in with the law this weekend in Atlanta. The Legally Blonde star was arrested for disorderly conduct according to Variety.com.

Witherspoon was with her power agent husband Jim Toth when police pulled them over under the suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Reportedly, he was swerving into the wrong lane. Guess he couldn’t drive Walk The Line. Sorry. I just had to reference Reese’s Oscar winning role in the Johnny Cash biopic. The website says he blew a .139 on a Breathalyzer test.

Once Toth was placed under arrest, the 37-year-old actress exited the vehicle and was instructed to get back in the car. According to the report, she “stated that she was a ‘US citizen’ and that she was allowed to ‘stand on American ground.’” She was then handcuffed after her disobedience.

The arresting officer’s report goes on to reveal that, “Mrs. Witherspoon asked, “Do you know my name?” I answered, “No, I don’t need to know your name.” I then added, “right now.” Mrs. Witherspoon stated, “You’re about to find out who I am.” It goes on to disclose, “Mrs. Witherspoon also stated, ‘You are going to be on national news.’ I advised Mrs. Witherspoon that was fine.” Someone was playing the celeb card, weren’t they? Maybe the third time will prove lucky for Reese Witherspoon? The Legally Blonde actress originally listed her Ojai Ranch for $10 million in September last year. After a couple months on the market, she lowered it to $8.9 million in November. Clearly, she’s determined to unload the property because it’s been reduced another time to $7.25 million. Given it’s history and serene outdoor surroundings, I’m surprised it’s not selling.

The historic Libbey Ranch was designed in 1923 for Edward Libbey, the father of the glass industry and considered the “founding father” of the town of Ojai. Before Witherspoon bought the Ojai ranch in early 2008, actor-director Harold Ramis (Ghostbusters) and celebrity designer Kathryn M. Ireland are among its previous owners.

For all you Twihards out there, this is the place where Robert Pattinson reportedly escaped to after he found out his girlfriend Kristen Stewart cheated on him. Here’s the property description from the agency listing it. For all you RHOBH fans, it’s The Agency which was founded by Kyle Richards’ husband Mauricio Umansky.

The first trailer for an upcoming drama/thriller called Mud has just been released and it has successfully lured me in and I can’t wait to watch it. The movie comes from Take Shelter writer/director, Jeff Nichols and looks intense!

It’s described as a coming-of-age draam that centers around two fourteen-year-old boys who come across a mysterious fugitive (Matthew McConaughey) lingering around their tree fort, set out on an island in the Mississippi. The man (who goes by the name “Mud”) tells them a story about the love of his life (Reese Witherspoon) and they make a pact with him to help him reconnect with her and also to help him evade capture. The boys have difficulty differentiating from truth and fiction and things seem to spiral out of control quite quickly.

In addition to Witherspoon & McConaughey, the film is cast with several other talented actors that include Tye Sheridan, Sam Shepard, Sarah Paulson, Michael Shannon, Ray McKinnon, Joe Don Baker and Paul Sparks. The movie hits theaters on April 26. Check out the just-released trailer below!

A week after the Sandy Hook shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, two videos from very opposing camps hit the internet. First you have celebrities asking in a PSA, “How many more colleges? How many more classrooms? How many more movie theaters? How many more house of faith? How many more shopping malls? How many more street corners?” Demand A Plan is a grassroots initiative to mobilize Americans to DEMAND a plan to end gun violence from Congress and President Obama. Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce, Michelle Williams, Selena Gomez, John Hamm, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and many, many more lend their voices to the PSA.

Coincidentally on the same day, National Rifle Association president Wayne LaPierre, held a live press conference. LaPierre claims the media is to blame for the shootings and not guns. He explains that the entertainment industry makes “the filthiest form of pornography,” citing violent music videos and films Natural Born Killers and American Psycho. He further goes on to say that “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” His most controversial comment that has celebrities on Twitter in a tizzy is his claim that had armed guards been at Sandy Hook, innocent lives would’ve been spared that day. There used to be a time when Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler could do no wrong at the box office. No matter what vehicle they starred in, it would undoubtedly become a bona fide blockbuster. But as they say, nothing lasts forever. The two veteran comedy actors find themselves on a list that no Hollywood actor wants to be on. To quote one of Murphy’s movies, I’m sure he wants to be Trading Places with anyone else right now.

Also landing on the list are one-time rom-com queens Katherine Heigl and Sandra Bullock. All it takes is one box office bomb to bring down their dollar return average. Each lady had exactly that with One For The Money and All About Steve respectively. You can also add Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close to Bullock’s less-than-stellar grosses. Last year Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker shared the title of Highest Paid Hollywood Actress. Sadly for them, there’s a new queen in town. Don’t feel too badly for them. Both Jolie and Parker are still on the Top 10 list, just further down at No. 4 and No. 7 respectively.

This year’s Forbes’ Top 10 rankings is strikingly similar to last year’s. With exception to Reese Witherspoon and Katherine Heigl, the other eight ladies still remain on the top-earning list. Witherspoon and Heigl were bumped by Kristin Wiig and Charlize Theron. Speaking of the Evil Queen, is Theron the new Queen of Hollywood? Perhaps…

The album spawned three hits- “Who Will Save Your Soul”, “You Were Meant For Me” and “Foolish Games“. Now 37-years-old, Jewel Kilcher is hoping to achieve the same level of success with her debut in acting. She’s appeared on television before playing herself, but never portraying a different character, until now.

Kilcher has signed on to play the lead in an upcoming biopic for Lifetime. The role won’t be too much of a stretch for the singer, since she’ll be playing a musician. Ryan Murphy just can’t away from the music. The “Glee” co-creator is currently in talks with Sony Pictures for a brand new feature length musical comedy. Titled “One Hit Wonders“, the film will focus on three recording has-beens from the 1990s. Each scored a top hit single during the decade and have now come together to form a super group in hopes of making a comeback on the Billboard charts.

Even though there is no script nor a signed deal for the tentative project, several big names have been attached to the film. Reportedly the idea came about when Murphy was having dinner with three A-list actresses. The three ladies wanted to “do something fun together” and brainstormed with Murphy til the idea of “One Hit Wonders” came to fruition.
