Alright, it’s getting close. After this episode, the final 3 will battle it out for the $1 million in the season finale of the Amazing Race 15 next week. One of these teams will not make it to that final lag of the race:

Dan & Sam: The Gay Bros.
Ericka & Brian: The Jungle Fevers
Herbert & Nathaniel: The Globetrotters
Meghan & Cheyne: The Lovebirds

The Lovebirds get to leave first at 9:46am, en route to the 11th Pit Stop (which will still be in Prague), followed by The Gay Bros, The Globetrotters, and lastly The Jungle Fevers. They taxi across town to the Spanish Synagogue for their next clue. Once there, they get a clue to go to the Ecotechnicke. This Kafka-esque Roadblock is pretty neat. There’s a room with what seems like one hundred ringing old fashioned phones, but only 5 have a person on the other end of the line. The person will give them a letter. There are 5 letters, and once they get them they must head to the supervisor’s office, fill out a form, and unscramble the 5 letters to make a specific word. Meghan chooses to do this one for The Lovebirds and in order to remember the letters as she gets them, she names an animal to go along with it and says it aloud. “R as in Rabbit. Z as in Zebra. F as in Ferret N as in…..A as in……” The word is FRANZ, and after a few mistakes, Meghan gets it right and must now head to Krycentrum with Cheyne for their next clue.

We’re down to the final four teams now:

Dan & Sam: The Gay Bros.
Ericka & Brian: The Jungle Fevers
Herbert & Nathaniel: The Globetrotters
Meghan & Cheyne: The Lovebirds

As this episode begins, the teams are off to the 10th pitstop. They leave Tallinn, Estonia and The Lovebirds get to leave first, heading for Prague, Czech Republic. There they must make their way to an old down town square and find a Vintage Praga for the next clue. The Gay Bros get to leave next, mentioning that the Globetrotters are their main competition, considering the heated tension between the two teams from last episode. The Globetrotters leave third, while The Jungle Fevers leave fourth.

The first flight leaves at 5:20am, with the ticket office opening at 4:00am. Turns out all teams make it on the flight. All teams grab taxis, except for The Jungle Fevers that decide to take the shuttlebus because someone had told Brian it was the fast way. Sounds like a bad idea to me.

As this episode beings, The Globetrotters get to leave for the next lag of the race first…at the unGodly time of 2:23am. They must make their way to a ferry that will take them across the Baltic Sea to Tallien, Estonia. The trip is 16 hours. Once they arrive at the ferry terminal, they realize that they are not leaving until 5:45pm in the afternoon. There is a lot of time to kill, so they decide to sleep in the car in the meantime. Looks like everyone is going to be departing at the same time, evening everything out. One by one the rest of the teams arriving only to find out the same information as The Globetrotters. They are all in the same boat so to speak. That being said, The Dad & Son are informed that they have the speed bump ahead, which will slow them down.

Once they arrive, they eagerly await for the ferry doors to open. They then dash to catch a cab so they can make their way to Mustapeade where they will find a house that can only be opened with one of the keys on their keychain. There they’ll find the Road Block. It is a secret society. Only one person does this task…they must join the ranks of the brotherhood to uncover a mystery, which will tell them their next clue. Once they figur out that they need to get a candelabra from one of the men, they will see that there is a number on it, which is the number to one of the rooms in the building. They must find room. Once there, they are given a blank scroll, and have to figure out that they have to hold it up to the candlelight to see what it written on it.

After the 7th Pit Stop in the race around the world, 5 Teams remain after The Poker Girls get a bad hand, fold, and get eliminated from the race. The remaining teams include:

The Gay Bros: Dan & Sam
The Globetrotters: Herbert & Nathaniel
The Lovebirds: Meghan & Cheyne
The Dad & Son: Gary & Matt
The Jungle Fevers: Brian and Ericka

The Gay Bros are the 1st to depart to Stockholm, Swedan by plane, then train and finally by ferry to an amusement park, where they will find their next clue. The Lovebirds 2nd to depart, The Globetrotters are 3rd, The Dad & Son 4th, and The Jungle Fevers will be leaving last.

The flights to Stockholm are at 6:55am and 9:25am the next morning. But the airport seems to be deserted and its late in the evening and none of the ticketing counters are open. This is the part of this game that I would hate if I was playing. I can’t deal with the uncertainty of flights etc. Like how could you sleep? The next morning, the first three teams get the first flight, but the last two teams to arrive (The Jungle Fevers and The Dad & Son) have to take the later flight at 9:25am.

Next up is the train, and The Gay Bros and The Love Birds make it onto the first train, with The Globetrotters catching a second train a bit later.

In this episode, the teams say bye bye to Dubai, and head off to Amsterdam, The Netherlands (where Topher is) on a midnight flight, leveling the playing field for all teams, as they will all arrive at the same time. While they were waiting for their flight, all the teams sit down together and chill, taking advantage of the little break they are getting. The GayBros decide it’s time to come out of the closet to the other teams. “We’re the token gay team,” they announced. It was a great ice breaker, and all the teams had a good laugh, saying that explains why they had matching shorts on the beach…which was actually their mom’s idea.

As they arrive, they dash to get into their Mercedes, but Brian from The Jungle Fevers freaking out about not being able to start the car. All the teams get a decent lead on them, before some random guy goes and helps him start the car. The teams are en route to the tallest building in the city, Martinitoren. There they find the Roadblock. They have to pick one member of their team with strong legs and keen eyes, to go up the narrow staircase and count all the bells, and get the correct number, which is 62.

amazing-race-dubai-water-slide

As we get a sneak peak of the episode, we are reminded that Mika is totally afraid of heights and water and we get to see her face her worst fears!

The Love Birds (Meghan and Cheyne) get to leave first. They have to grab a locked briefcase, take taxi and head to the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. There they find the Roadblock. They must row an inflatable dingy to a yacht where they will receive a watch, then return to the dock to use the watch to open the briefcase. They must figure out that the time, which is 8:35, is the access code to the three digit lock on the briefcase. The rowing seemed easier said than done for Cheyne.

The Jungle Fevers (Brian and Ericka) are second place, followed by The Globetrotters (Herbert and Nathaniel) in 3rd place. The Dad and Son are in 4th place, pink hair and all.

After they complete this task, they must take their taxi to Abra Station, to a water taxi place for the next clue. Brian totally doesn’t know how to work. GayBros are in 5th. OMG, the taxi driver brought The Globetrotters to the wrong place and they lose a lot of time. Yikes for them!

burj-debai

As this episode starts, 8 teams remain after The Besties were eliminated from the race for losing their passport. Totally sucks for them, considering they were first to arrive at the Pit Stop.

The teams are in the capital of Cambodia at the 4th Pit Stop of the race. Sam & Dan get to leave first on their way to the World’s tallest building, Burj Debai. They will be traveling 3300 miles by plane to Dubai in the Persian Gulf, to this 121st floor of this building in order to get their next clue. There will be 4 teams in the first elevator ride, and the last four teams to arrive will be in the second elevator ride, 15 minutes later.

They fly to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Once they get there, they get into their cabs and drive to their destination, signing in as they get there. The first group will be doing up the next morning at 5:30am, the second at 5:45am. Mika is freaking out about the heights, thinking there may be some sort of freaky challenge at the top.
