Candid is one word I would definitely use to describe P!nk. The 33-year-old never holds back during her interviews. The “Try” singer is an open book for the June 2013 issue of Glamour Magazine. She shares with the publication the secrets of being the ultimate alpha girl. Based on her interview, that would include going on a date with an N Sync member and being a “reformed slut.”

Asked why many of the songs on her new record are about sex, such as “Slut Like You” and “Walk of Shame,” P!nk tells the mag, “I’m a reformed slut,” explaining, “It’s my very unsophisticated way of taking the power back.” Preach sister. Check out a few more memorable quotes below, along with the stunning editorial snapped by famed photographer Ellen Von Unwerth.

She may be the Most Hated Hollywood Celebrity according to Star magazine, but over at People they love her. The publication crowned Gwyneth Paltrow the Most Beautiful Woman in 2013. She takes over the reigns from her BFF Beyoncé who graced their annual Most Beautiful In The World issue last year.

“Around the house, I’m in jeans and a T-shirt. I don’t really wear makeup. That’s what [my children are] used to,” she tells People. Of her husband Chris Martin she says, “He’ll make a joke about it. If I’ve gotten fully dressed up, he’ll be like, ‘Oh, wow! You’re Gwyneth Paltrow!’ Because he’s used to seeing me in like baggy shorts and frizzy hair.”

Remember MTV Icon? The short-lived tribute annual special ran between 2001 til 2004. Each year, the network would pay homage to a musical act they deemed a cultural icon. Aerosmith, Metallica and The Cure were all celebrated on the series. The inaugural honor, however, went to Janet, Miss Jackson if your “Nasty,” Jackson.

For her special, MTV brought in several acts to honor Jackson. Outkast kicked things off with a performance of their then-hit “Ms Jackson.” The rest of the night featured other pop acts either covering Janet’s biggest hits or paying homage in their own way. My two favorite moments from the special came from a video by ‘N Sync and a dance tribute from P!nk, Usher and Mya. The boy band filmed an exact replica of my favorite Jackson hit, “That’s The Way Love Goes.” Meanwhile, the trio strutted their stuff to some of Janet’s iconic choreography. It was EPIC.

Not everything was a success though that night. Destiny’s Child, Macy Gray and Buckcherry all bombed big time (IMHO) with their respective covers. The evening ended with Janet performing “All For You” accompanied by dancers wearing some of her signature looks from her music videos. Check out some of the performances below.

This is exactly why I love P!nk. Yes her music is fantastic, but my favorite thing about her (and anyone for that matter) is she’s never afraid to speak her mind. A few days ago, the 33-year-old singer was in her hometown of Philadelphia for her Truth About Love tour. During an acoustic performance of “Who Knew,” she noticed a little girl crying in the crowd. Her maternal instincts kicked in and stopped singing to ask why the girl was upset.

When P!nk found out it was due to two women fighting nearby the girl, the “Try” singer sassed, “Y’all are fighting around a little girl?” Instantly, the crowd began to boo. Knowing she didn’t want a riot on her hands, P!nk quickly squashed it by sharing a story about how she enjoyed watching her own mom sass someone out. To calm the girl down, P!nk gave her a Rice Krispies Treat and a frog stuffed animal. She then thanked the little girl for coming to her concert. Awwwww. Check out entire thing go down below. The action starts at the .42 second mark.

A friend of mine from Sony Music Canada brought me along to see Pop superstar P!nk’s “Truth About Love Tour” in Toronto last night for her first of two Canadian stops (she also plays at Montreal’s Bell Centre March 12) and the show had all the classic P!nk moments we have come to expect from her – lots of theatrical moments, tons of feel-good power anthems to sing along to, more than a couple Cirque Du Soleil-worthy moments, and perhaps most importantly – hottie Colt Prattes (her costar in the incredible Try video)!

The tour is in support of her “Truth About Love” album which has been certified double platinum in Canada and is proving to be one of her most successful to date. P!nk played a range of material from the album, including current single “Just Give Me a Reason,” “Try” (featuring the aforementioned Colt Prattes, a performance that is even more incredible in person to watch) and ended the night (quite appropriately) with “Truth About Love” lead single “Blow Me (One Last Kiss).”

Top 12 Breakup Songs

In: Music, Patrick

Oh what the heck, I’m going there. In my last article, I mentioned I’m going through a breakup and I’m coming to realize that several other people I know are too so why not share my list with others. Spring Fever, I guess!

Over the past week, I put in the effort to dig up songs that really spoke to how I was feeling and really help you get through the angry part. Yes, I’m not listening to the depressing types of breakup songs that make you cry. I’m listening to the “eff you” type songs that help build myself back up. I’m sure many of you have had these songs on your playlist at one time or another when going through a breakup, while others may want to add them in right now if they’re going through it now. Enjoy!

What a beautiful music video! P!nk always seems to raise the bar for herself and other musicians with her videos. In this just-released music video for her single, “Give Me A Reason,” P!nk and the real love of her life Carey Hart learn to love again and find their way back into each other’s arms. The duet song features Nate Ruess from fun. and he too appears in the video.

In the earlier portion of the video, we see P!nk singing from mattress that is floating on a very foggy body of water, with a retro TV screen not too far away. Beside her is a teddybear with glowing lights for eyes. Every now and then she has flashes of Hart’s sexy tattooed body in bed with her. Eventually, after immersing herself under water, she comes up and the too passionately lock lips. Outside of this storyline, during the duet parts and when he’s not singing from inside the television, Ruess and Pink sing together face to face.

I’m not sure how this list was compiled because it seems a little odd. DoSomething.org recently unveiled their annual Top 20 list of “Celebs Gone Good” and Taylor Swift is apparently the most giving in Hollywood. Not to discredit Swift’s generous donations, but is she really the No. 1 charitable celebrity out there? If she is, then the others really need to step up their do-gooding game.

The 23-year-old “Trouble” singer stands atop of the heap due to her $4 million donation to the Country Hall of Fame Museum which is the largest sum ever donated to the organization. She’s also cited for all tremendous work for young people battling cancer and being the youngest person to ever receive the Ripple of Hope Award from the Robert F. Kennedy Center for her charity work.

Others making the list include Carrie Underwood, Channing Tatum, Ben Affleck and Miley Cyrus. It’s interesting how Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez rank separately, while Andrew Garfield & Emma Stone and Jay-Z & Beyonce are grouped together. There are definitely a couple of surprises including Ian Somerhalder. Not that he doesn’t strike me as a giving person. It’s just you never hear much about his good deeds. Find out who the runner-up is and the rest of the Top 20 below.
