The topic of black Americans systematically being gunned down by police has been thrust into the spotlight due to the recent police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. Plenty of celebrities have voiced their outrage and frustration on social media. Mic.com has corralled several of them for a powerful PSA titled “23 Ways You Can Be Killed If You Are Black In America.”

Alicia Keys kicks things off by saying, “Failing to signal a lane change,” referring to the Sandra Bland case. Beyonce, Rihanna, Pharrell, Janelle Monaé, A$AP Rocky, Pink, Chance The Rapper, Common, Queen Latifah, Talib Kweli, Swizz Beatz, Lenny Kravitz, Bono, Jennifer Hudson, Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, Taraji P. Henson and Adam Levine then follow with other cases where African-American citizens were shot doing non-aggressive actions including making eye contact, selling CDs, missing a front license plate and so on.

Watch the devastating clip below which sheds light on this horrific statistic.

Hands,” is a musical tribute to the 49 victims of the shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida. The track features Mary J Blige, Jason Derulo, Britney Spears, Tyler Glenn, Selena Gomez, Halsey, Ty Herndon, Imagine Dragons, Juanes, Adam Lambert, Mary Lambert, Jennifer Lopez, the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, Kacey Musgraves, MNEK, Alex Newell, P!nk, Prince Royce, Nate Ruess, RuPaul, Troye Sivan, Jussie Smollett, Gwen Stefani, and Meghan Trainor.

The just-released lyric video doesn’t feature any of the artists, with exception to some footage taken during the recording. Rather, it showcases online personalities including Rebecca Black and Michael Buckley to name a few, displaying the song lyrics on their hands.

However, it’s the appearance of Patience Carter, Tiara Parker, and Angel Anthony Santiago, survivors of the shooting at Pulse Nightclub, that make a huge emotional impact. Check out the video below.

Proceeds from the sale of the new tribute single in the United States will benefit Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida, and GLAAD.

In the wake of the Orlando tragedy, a couple of charity singles have been released including Christina Aguilera’s fantastica ballad “Change.” Every time I hear it, I still get chills.

The latest tribute single honoring the 49 victims features an all-star lineup. Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Mary J Blige, Jason Derulo, Tyler Glenn, Selena Gomez, Halsey, Ty Herndon, Imagine Dragons, Juanes, Adam Lambert, Mary Lambert, Jennifer Lopez, Kacey Musgraves, MNEK, Alex Newell, P!nk, Prince Royce, Nate Ruess, RuPaul, Troye Sivan, Jussie Smollett, Meghan Trainor and the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles all unite for “Hands.”

“The second I heard about this horrible tragedy where so many of my LGBTQ brothers and sisters lost their lives, I immediately got on a plane to Orlando to volunteer my help anyway I could,” writer and producer Justin Tranter said about the single. “Putting this charity single together is just a way for me, and everyone involved to keep volunteering our help and promote peace and love in the world.”

Not including her recording of Ellen’s Season 13 theme song, “Just Like Fire” is Pink’s first real single in over three years. And it’s a sensational return. The Max Martin-produced power ballad is vintage Pink but also shows off a new side- a surprising rap break by the 36-year-old singer.

For the accompanying video, she enlisted longtime collaborator Dave Meyers to direct. Since the single is for Alice Through The Looking Glass, it’s only fitting Pink head to Wonderland. She faces off against herself in an epic life-sized chess game and hosts an aerial tea party. Speaking of aerials, it wouldn’t be a Pink video without the singer showing off her silk-twirling abilities. Girl loves to be upside down.

Check out the video below which features cameos from her daughter Willow and husband Carey Hart. Be sure to stay til the end for the surprise ending.

Pink Debuts New Power Ballad ‘Just Like Fire’

With the exception of recording the theme song for Season 13 of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, things on the Pink front have been relatively quiet. She reemerged a few weeks ago with a brilliant cover of the Jefferson Airplane classic “White Rabbit” featured in the trailer for Alice Through The Looking Glass. It appears that the 36-year-old singer also recorded an original song for the Alice In Wonderland sequel.

Just Like Fire” is Pink’s first real single in over three years. She teams up with Max Martin on the power ballad once again. They previously collaborated on “Raise Your Glass,” “Fuckin’ Perfect” and “So What.” Martin co-produced it with Shellback and Oscar Holter. Love the chants leading up to the chorus but it’s her surprising rap break that steals the show in my opinion.

Check out a clip below directed by Dave Meyers which features characters from the Tim Burton-directed film.

With the exception of recording the theme song for Season 13 of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, things on the Pink front have been relatively quiet. The 36-year-old singer reemerges with a brilliant cover of a Jefferson Airplane classic.

She takes on the band’s iconic 1967 hit, “White Rabbit,” for Alice Through The Looking Glass. Grace Slick would be proud. Pink’s rendition is heavily featured in the new trailer for the Alice In Wonderland sequel.

Johnny Depp reprises his role as the Mad Hatter, while Mia Wasikowska plays Alice once again. Also returning for Alice Through The Looking Glass are Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Michael Sheen as the voice of the White Rabbit, and Alan Rickman as the voice of the Blue Caterpillar. Sacha Baron Cohen is the most notable newbie in the film. He’ll play Time, a villain who is part human, part clock.

Alice Through the Looking Glass hits theaters on May 27, 2016. Check out the new trailer below.

It’s been far too long since Pink dropped a full-length studio album. I need a follow up to 2012’s The Truth About Love stat. Until the 36-year-old singer blesses her fans with that, we have this little ditty to tide us over.

After teasing it weeks ago, Pink debuted “Today’s The Day” in full. The Greg Kurstin-produced number is the official theme song for 13th season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. With it being for a daytime talk show, naturally it’s upbeat and empowering. However, it’s still signature Pink. As always, her vocals are on point and flawless.

Pink appeared on Ellen’s show today to premiere the track officially. Give it a listen below.

Shazam Reveals Most Tagged Songs & TV Shows Of 2013

I don’t know about you, but I feel Shazam is probably one of the best apps ever created. There is nothing more frustrating than hearing a song but not being able to remember the title or artist. Even worse, if you hear it on your favorite TV show and rack your brain trying to figure it out, but still come up empty-handed. Honestly, Shazam has saved me numerous headaches. I also love using it as a makeshift to-download list for songs I need to purchase. The service has been partially credited for Icona Pop’s success. Their hit “I Love It” went on to be Shazamed more than two millions times in the US after appearing on Girls.

In the past several years, Shazam’s activity has increased at an astronomical rate. In 2011, Adele was tops with 4 million Shazams. In 2012, five artists achieved more than five million tags. This year, 43 artists have achieved more than five million Shazams. The popular music tagging service revealed their annual list of most popular tags. Check out the lists below and see if your tagging contributed to the totals.
