Nicki Minaj’s latest album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded has a little something for everyone. If you like more of her hood and rap sound, she has some great tracks. If you prefer her dance/pop tracks, there are those for you to enjoy. Even though Minaj just released a video Pound The Alarm, she’s offering another video for her hip hop and rap fans for one of my fave tracks, I Am Your Leader.
Throwing disses towards Lil Kim and others who may hate on Minaj’s success, she sings in the chorus, “I am your leader, I am your leader. Not a believer? Suck a big d*ck.” The video is a colorful collection of clips not unlike her Superbass clip. Donning some glittery boats in a foamy bathtub, rapping in her pink fortress and hanging out with Rick Ross and Cam’ron, Nicki definitely makes a statement. I especially love Ross’ verse at the head of a table with golden girls sliding by on a conveyer belt. Check out Nicki’s latest video below and share your thoughts.
On Tuesday, April 3, Nicki Minaj will release her new set of tunes upon the world in Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. I personally cannot wait as I was a huge fan of her previous release. And, with the tracks I have heard so far, I think this album is going to be just as good (if not better) than the last. The album leaked online before it’s official release (as albums usually do these days) but it’s given us a chance to hear a few of the tracks before we buy.
One song that I can’t get enough of is Pound The Alarm which was produced by hit-man RedOne. If you remember, he is also responsible for Starships along with three other tracks on the album (which are pretty rad). If Nicki wants to keep her radio heat going, I think this newest track could be a potential single for the rapper. The beat and hook are really catchy and great for summer. There is no denying that Nicki Minaj is loving digging her heels into the world of dance music.
Give a listen to Pound The Alarm and a few other tracks from the deluxe version of the album that Dr. Luke produced. I have to admit, his efforts weren’t as powerhouse as I expected considering the tracks he made for Katy and Britney in the past years. But, you be the judge. Have a Roman Reloaded listening party below.

Keep the new Nicki Minaj tracks coming! I remember last year how Nicki was just breaking into the scene with her quirky raps and split-personality. Now, you can’t go two steps without seeing her face or hearing her name. Now, in anticipation of her upcoming release, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, songs have been hitting the net fast and furious.
First, Marilyn Monroe leaked giving us a more introspective look at the rapper singing about the dark and shaded side of the famed blonde bombshell. Then, we heard Young Forever the same day she performed the new track Roman Holiday at the Grammy’s. Now, Minaj is ready to make our feet move with a new dance track she created with RedOne.
Starships is quite the departure from Nicki’s rap and R&B roots and pulls a little bit of influence from her David Guetta collaboration. Don’t get me wrong, the song definitely contains Minaj’s signature quirky raps in the verses but the pre-chorus and hook itself play into what’s hot in pop music right now. What makes me go dumb is that dance break. Say what?! You’ll have to hear it for yourself. Give it a listen below.
Last night, Nicki Minaj debuted her new song “Roman’s Holiday” on the Grammy stage. But hours before, another song of hers hit the internet which will appear on her upcoming Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The R&B ballad titled “Young Forever” once again shows off Nicki’s vocal chops not unlike her previous leaked track, Marilyn Monroe.
Frozen in time
Always be mine
Baby boy, you’ll be young forever
It’s unfortunate that we’ll have to wait a little while longer to hear Nicki’s new tracks on the album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded which was originally intended to be released on Valentine’s Day. Give a listen to the new track below and tell us what you think in the comments section.

Before Christmas, Nicki Minaj dropped the ultimate diss track on all her haters titled Stupid Hoe. I can’t help but think that more than 75% of the disses are aimed at long time enemy, Lil Kim. Now, the track has received the video treatment and while it’s simpilar than a lot of her previous videos, it hits the nail on the head and I love it.
With a little help from Hype Williams, the vibrant and colorful palette of the video really showcases Minaj’s crazy sense of style and musicology. From the opening sequence of watching her lips and background change color to the rapper working it out in a bright yellow cage meant for tigers, there is no question that Minaj is the reigning Queen of Rap right now. As she puts it in one of her lyrics, “I’m Angelina, you Jennifer – c’mon b*tch, you see where Brad at.”
This track is set to appear on Nicki’s new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded which hits shelves on Valentines Day. How appropriate. Until then, enjoy the flashy Stupid Hoe video below.
