As a lover of vintage 80s arcade games, this movie is right up my alley. Even if, it stars Adam Sandler. That aside, Pixels looks very promising. Pac Man, Donkey Kong and other classic video game characters come to life and wreak havoc on Earth in this potential Summer blockbuster.
In 1982, in the hopes of establishing peaceful communication with extraterrestrial life, NASA launches a time capsule into outer space containing images and footage of Earth life and culture. However, aliens misinterpret enclosed video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, specifically Pac-Man, with the Earth being him, and the aliens being the ghosts. They attack the Earth using the games as models for their various assaults, including Pac-Man. – Wiki Description
Sandler is called on to save the day because he’s an 1980s arcade champion and also because he’s the President’s (Kevin James) best friend. He uses his gamer techniques and strategies in hopes of defeating the aliens.
Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Monaghan, Ashley Benson and Jane Krakowski round out the cast. The Christopher Columbus-directed film hits theaters on July 24, 2015.

If you haven’t noticed yet, the promotional train for Game of Thrones is in overdrive. With a month to go until the Season 5 premiere, HBO is making sure everyone knows the fantasy drama is back on April 12.
Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Maisie Williams each grace their own separate cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. The magazine traveled with the cast and crew to three countries and spent ten days on set to give a preview of what’s to come this upcoming season. Don’t worry, it’s all spoiler free.
“Worlds are colliding,” showrunner David Benioff, said to EW.com. “One of the things we’ve been most excited about from the beginning of the series is we’ve had all these far-flung story lines across Westeros and Essos which almost never cross. Now some of these characters start to head on a collision course for each other.”
In addition to issuing four collectible covers, the publication devoted an unprecedented 30 pages exploring the past, present and future of the HBO series. This issue is a must-have for any hardcore fan. Check out the other covers snapped by photographer Marc Hom below.
We’ve all done it. Facebook creep someone we’re interested in by going through their friends, pictures and interests. That’s the exact premise of a new romantic comedy titled A Case of You, co-written by and starring Justin Long aka the Apple guy.
Long plays a writer who is skeptical of finding love until he bumps into a cute barista played by Evan Rachel Wood. To reel her in, he adjusts his interests and hobbies on his online profile to match her likes and dislikes. In other words, he cyperstalks her. Before you think the film is a catfish rom-com, it isn’t. Check out what Long had to say about it to Entertainment Weekly.
“If there is a twist in our movie, it would be that he gets her very early on and then has to deal with the reality of having someone. That was something that I’ve always found interesting. Once the chase and the fantasy of the pursuit has worn off, or has ended just by virtue of being with that person, the real romance and the real struggle of maintaining that kind of begins.” – Justin Long
A Case of You was featured at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. It’s directed by Kat Coiro and features Sienna Miller, Brendan Fraser, Peter Dinklage, Busy Philipps, Vince Vaughn and Sam Rockwell in supporting roles. The film opens in limited release on November 6. Check out the trailer below.

For anyone as obsessed with Game of Thrones as I am, this two minute video will most likely be the most exciting part of your day. While season 3 of GoT doesn’t air until March 31st, HBO has released a tiny featurette giving us a behind the scenes look at some of the locations and characters in the new season.
I couldn’t help but start drooling when I saw the extremely sexy Richard Madden, who plays Robb Stark. It’s also funny to hear Peter Dinklage when he drops his atrocious accent.
While the first two seasons were essentially an adaptation of the first two books in the series, many characters were purposely left out of season 2. You’ll be happy to know that the writers were merely saving them until they became more central to the plot.
Season 3 will cover about the first half of the 3rd book. The show’s creators have always said that their vision for their show was an adaptation of the series as a whole, not of the individual books. This allows them to move things around a bit in terms of timelines and locations to make more cohesive seasons.Fans of the books will also be excited to know that Meera and Jojen Reed will finally be appearing on the show. Jojen will be played by the adorable Thomas Sangster who some of you will remember as that little boy from Love Actually.
