In: Donovan, Movies

“Every day was an adventure to be tackled and he wanted to make a difference in this world… he never asked for credit or glory. He was just a really good guy,” Jordana Brewster said as part of a touching tribute for her deceased Fast and the Furious co-star.

Brewster wasn’t the only one to offer up emotional memories of Paul Walker. Vin Diesel also shared his fond memories of his friend in a voiceover during a video montage of Paul’s film career. Check out the short and sweet clip which aired at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards below.

Footage From Paul Walker’s Final Film Is Released

In: Donovan, Movies

At the time of his death, Paul Walker was in the midst of filming Fast and Furious 7. This created quite a dilemma for the movie studio and producers. After carefully weighing out all options, the cast and crew decided to forge ahead and complete Walker’s last film to honor him. The 40-year-old actor did however have another unreleased film under his belt. Footage from Walker’s completed flick surfaced on Tuesday via Entertainment Tonight.

Brick Mansions, co-written by Luc Besson (The Fifth Element), is a remake of the 2004 French film District 13. Walker plays Damien Collier, an undercover cop trying to stop a drug lord in Detroit. He teams up with regular guy Lino (David Belle), whose girlfriend has been kidnapped by the drug kingpin that Collier has been tracking. The Camille Delamarre-directed film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 28, 2014. Check out the first look at the movie below.

most-charitable-celebrity-2013 just released their annual Top 20 list of “Celebs Gone Good” and once again Taylor Swift is apparently the most giving celebrity in Hollywood. She topped last year’s list with her record $4 million donation to the Country Hall of Fame Museum- the largest sum ever given to the country organization. This year, the nonprofit cites Swift’s recent Winter White Gala in London, a benefit for homeless youth, a $100,000 donation to the Nashville Symphony which she gave on her 24th birthday as some of her do-gooding work. Not to discredit Taylor’s goodwill, but once again I’m surprised she’s the numero uno charitable celebrity out there. Right?

With their volunteer work in Ghana for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day and donation to cancer research, the boys of One Direction also made the list this year. Chime for Change and Goodwill activist Beyoncé, Reach Out Worldwide founder Paul Walker, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis round out the Top 5.

The most surprising thing about this year’s list is the absence of some individuals who made the Top 5 last year but are nowhere to be found in the Top 20. Channing Tatum and Lady Gaga, according to, aren’t as charitable this year. I’m really curious to know how the nonprofit tabulates their results. Check out the rest of the list below.

Vin Diesel Reveals New Fast & Furious 7 Release Date

In: Donovan, Movies

The show must go on as they say in Hollywood. After Paul Walker’s shocking death, Universal Pictures put production of Fast and Furious 7 on hold. On Sunday, Vin Diesel revealed the film will hit theaters on April 10, 2015. The 46-year-old actor also shared the above movie still, documenting his last filmed scene with Walker with the following caption.

“There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…

Fast and Furious 7 will be released…

April 10th 2015!

Iron Man 3 is the highest-grossing movie so far in 2013 with $1.2 billion in worldwide ticket sales. With those kind of receipts, one would think it’s star Robert Downey, Jr. would easily take the crown on Forbes Highest-Grossing list. It’s only a natural conclusion. Unfortunately for him, Robert only starred in one film the entire year. Sneaking past him to steal the title was someone who starred in four films. Here’s a little hint. It’s someone from the Fast and The Furious franchise.

Before we get to the winner, I just wanted to commend both Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Lawrence for breaking into the male-dominated Top 10. Bullock knocked out the competition with her one-two punch of Gravity and The Heat, while Lawrence hit the bullseye with Silver Linings Playbook and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Check out the Top 10 below. In addition to the top slot, there are a couple of other surprises. At least for me, there was.

Did you retweet in 2013? If you did, chances are pretty high you shared one of Twitter’s top three retweets of the year. Two of them involve a celebrity death while the other is a birthday shout-out. Not surprisingly, one of the most popular on the micro-blogging site is Lea Michele’s thanks to her fans for their support in the wake of Cory Monteith’s death. Check out the other two below, along with Twitter’s year in review video.

Despite all the touching tributes, including those from his former co-stars, and breaking news regarding Paul Walker’s death, I’ve remained relatively silent. I’m still in shock that he’s gone. Not only was I a huge fan, but he was one of the first male actors I crushed on as I started my journey to coming out. He definitely holds a special place in my heart.

Whether or not you watched all of his movies or none of them, you’re probably aware that he appeared in The Fast and The Furious films. In honor of the late actor, the franchise created a two-minute tribute compilation highlighting Walker’s finest moments. It spans his first meeting with Vin Diesel’s Dominic to his wedding with Jordana Brewster’s Mia in the most recent film. Watch the moving tribute set to Skyler Grey’s “I’m Coming Home” below. It fittingly features a toast from Vin Diesel.
