Hopefully, Vogue approved these pictures with Beyonce’s publicist before publishing them. Otherwise, they should be expecting a “polite” email to take them down, similar to the one asking Buzz Feed to remove those unflattering photos from the Super Bowl. If her publicist didn’t like these Patrick Demarchelier-snapped photos, she’s clearly blind, because Beyonce is gorgeous in these photos.
Vogue stylist Camilla Nickerson (love her) does an impeccable job dressing the “Irreplaceable” singer in looks by Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and Oscar de la Renta to name a few. The 31-year-old singer is the perfect choice to grace Vogue’s Power Issue cover, especially after that energetic Super Bowl performance. The only thing, I’m not crazy about the shoot is that hairstyle. While Janet Jackson rocked it, in her “Love Will Never Do Without You” music video from the 90s, it’s a bit dated here. Perhaps a mixture of this look and other coiffed masterpieces would’ve served the shoot better.
Inside the issue, Bey opens up about her daughter Blue Ivy, her decision to split with her father as her business manager, reading disparaging comments about her on websites and her upcoming album. In addition, she gets a nice little shout out from her BFF Gwyneth Paltrow. Check it out below.
“When she is working onstage, she has more power than any woman I’ve ever seen. She would never say it and has never said it, but I feel she knows with every fiber of her being that she is the best in the world at her job.” – Gwyneth Paltrow
They’re not boys, but not yet men either, to quote a Britney Spears classic with a slight gender change. The lads of One Direction are growing up in front of our very eyes, or at the very least, becoming more sophisticated. The British boy band recently released a beautiful black and white music video for their ballad, “Little Things“, showing their sensitive sides. Now, they can add a stylish new photo editorial on their journey to manhood.
Zayn, Liam, Niall, Louis and Harry posed for famed fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier in the latest issue of British Vogue. No Teen Beat here. The quintet showed off their youthful sides with matching varsity jackets, then flipped the script looking dapper in tailored suits. Each of the guys look totes adorable in their solo shots. British model Edie Campbell joins the boy band for a couple of group shots. Check out all the photos below.
Previously on America’s Next Top Model, Ann made ANTM history by getting top photo for a fourth straight time. The Girl With The Littlest Waist has stolen Tyrant’s heart almost as much as Lisbeth Salander has taken over Sweden. I didn’t think she actually deserved the win, but you know Tyrant! All about storylines, not so much about credibility. Kayla should’ve won that round. Maybe Tyrant just doesn’t like lesbians. Just kidding! No hate mail. Gawd. Relax. Can Ann do it again? Will one of the other girls rise to her level? Will Tyrant say something stupid? Duh. Who will be eliminated tonight?
We begin this week with the wannabes driving back to the house. Someone comments that Ann is the last of the “quirkies”. Hmmm… interesting. I hadn’t thought of the eliminations that way. I guess slutty doesn’t count as quirky. I’m looking at you Kacey! Then Ann gets a little teary in a confessional. Awww. Cute. She’s really proud of her achievement and feels like she’s actually pretty and not just the gangly one in the back of the class. I know how you feel girl. I know how you feel. It wasn’t until my own model breakthrough that I truly accepted my hotness. It was tough. I got through it though.
It’s Friday and you know what that means. Time for your preview pics for ANTM Cycle 15′s next episode. Famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier photographs the models this week. This weeks shoot is different from most weeks. The girls are photographed three times. One solo shot, one walking shot and a group shot with another girl. I guess the girls are supposed to look whimsical while shopping on Rodeo Drive.
With exception to Kacey, I’m liking all the models this year. Even Esther and Jane who are practically mute in every episode, I’m rooting for. At this point, I’m predicting SLASH hoping Ann, Kendal, Kayla, Jane, Chelsey & Chris all make the overseas trip to Italia. Who are your favorites this season?
