parody

Can you believe it’s been a decade since Mean Girls hit theaters? The high school classic marks its tenth anniversary this year. Can you imagine a world without Tina Fey’s bitchy and quotable dialogue? One person I know who definitely can’t is Todrick Hall. He’s back with another parody of the Lindsay Lohan film. This time, he takes it out the hood and to West Hollywood. Regina George has nothing on these bitchy queens.

Hall plays Reggie George, the queen bee of the Ken Dollz aka the gay Plastics. The sun shines on them while everyone else is in their shadow. Popular underwear model Colby Melvin tackles transfer student Cody Heron. Melvin’s real life lover, Brandon Brown, makes a cameo. My favorite of the bunch though is Fetch’in Weiners whose dad invented Grindr. LOL. Kory DeSoto and Willam Belli also appear as Kameron Smith and Ms. Norbury respectively. In lieu of the “Burn Book,” there’s a “Shade Book.” The shade of it all ;)

Check out the parody below. While not as brilliant as Hall’s “Mean Gurlz” clip, it’s still pretty hilarious. My biggest complaint about his latest is the amount of make-up caked on the cast. It’s kinda distracting. Less is more, especially in this case.

We’re taking the day off today, so we decided to repost some of our favorite Christmas-themed posts from this and previous years.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

Hello America. It’s recently come to my attention that Drew Droege has never done a Christmas video before. Shame on him. Tsk, tsk. His Chloe Sevigny impersonations have covered the wonders of Summer, Hallowe’en, Memorial Day and even Valentine’s Day. Thankfully, he’s back and wearing that layered blond wig once again. This time he’s sharing his thoughts about the holiday season. Let the Yuletide fun begin.

For his festive new video, Chloe rocks sheer blouses, animal prints, plenty of accessories and floral pants to reveal what her true love has given during the 12 days of Chrisss-mas. I just love her hilarious mispronunciations. Her gifts include a crib of childish animals, murder of crows, a Louis Vuitton bindlestick, Mamie Gummer (The WB’s Emily Owens, M.D.) and even a crisp slap. Chloe’s love is certainly very generous. Looks like Chloe has been more nice than naughty this year.

Watch the video below and see what else she scored from her true love. Personally, I want what she got on Day 4. Ooh na na.

Watch Home Alone Christmas Card Parody Video

home-alone-parody

Home Alone is arguably one of everyone’s favorite holiday films. Without fail, it plays at least once during tis merry season either while I’m decorating my tree, wrapping gifts or nursing my hangover from indulging on too much egg nog. Rum gets to me every time.

The following video is borderline creepy, but like a car crash you can’t turn away. Check out YouTube user Paul Little insert himself on every character in Home Alone. It’s the perfect two minute break from all your familial obligations today. Enjoy.

chuck-norris-van-damme-splits-parody

Remember Jean-Claude Van Damme’s epic splits in between two gargantuan Volvo trucks? If you haven’t seen it, you’re probably in the minority. The viral clip has amassed an astonishing 60+ million views so far. It spawned numerous parodies including one from Channing Tatum where he substitutes the trucks for a couple of food carts. Over a month later, Van Damme’s Expendables 2 co-star gets in on the action.

Chuck Norris with the help of Hungarian creative agency, Delov Digital, goes to insane heights (literally) to top Jean-Claude. Norris with the help of a little (actually a lot) of CGI magic, replicates the feat but uses two flying planes as his footholds. Not to be outdone, while executing the splits, the former Walker, Texas Ranger star balances a festive human pyramid on top of his head. Bonus points for the random Shakespeare Hamlet narration playing throughout the clip.

macauley-culkin-eats-pizza

It’s exactly what it sounds like. Four minutes of Macaulay Culkin eating a slice of pizza for your viewing pleasure. It’s actually not as indulgent as it sounds. The video is an homage SLASH spoof of a 1981 short film shot by Danish filmmaker Jorgen Leth of Andy Warhol eating a burger. Not just any burger, but a Burger King Whopper. Fancy!

If you have nine minutes to waste, check out both vids below. This is your last warning. You’ll never get those precious minutes back. However, the last few moments of both clips where the Home Alone star and the pop art leader speak are kinda hilarious.

Watch The Love Actually Sequel Trailer

In: Donovan, Movies
love-actually-sequel-trailer

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the release of Love Actually. Though numerous attempts around the world have been filmed to recreate the special magic found in the original including Garry Marshall’s Valentine’s Day and New Years Eve, none have succeeded.

Naturally, when I read Love Actually 2, I was instantly intrigued and excited. Sadly though, it turned out to be just a fan-made trailer parody. With that being said, it’s an excellent one at that. This fanboy or fangirl masterfully compiles footage from the cast’s post-Actually work into a storyline, albeit far-fetched, but a storyline nonetheless.

It’s not easy incorporating scenes from Bad Santa, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Taken, The King’s Speech, Mammia Mia, Mad Men, The Hobbit and more to craft a worthy sequel to Love Actually. Check out the wonderfully ridiculous clip below.

how-the-grinch-stole-crenshaw-parody

You know what I’m thankful for? Todrick Hall, that’s what. The American Idol alum consistently delivers highly-entertaining parodies and spoofs. His ability to put a new (often times ghetto) spin on classic tales is outstanding. This time around he strays from his usual inspirations (Disney films) and targets a classic holiday tale. Hall puts some Gangsta HollyHood flava on How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

While I’m not a huge fan of the Dr. Seuss story, I thoroughly enjoyed How The Grinch Stole Crenshaw. What can I say, I love me a ratchet fairy tale. Todrick released his latest exclusively on WTF (WhatTheFunny.com). It’s Marlon Wayans’ answer to Funny or Die. Check out the clip below.

James Franco & Seth Rogen Parody Kimye

In: Donovan, Music

Even if you didn’t watch Kanye West’s much-reviled “Bound 2” music video featuring Kim Kardashian, you’ll appreciate this. While filming his new film The Interview, Seth Rogen called upon James Franco to reenact the now-infamous video, shot for shot. From simulating sex on a motorcycle to passionately locking lips, Rogen and Franco engage in everything Kimye does. It’s definitely a must-see. Check it out below.
