With regards to his former Wanted bandmates, Nathan Sykes is easily having the most success since the boy band parted ways. His first two solo singles, “Kiss Me Quick” and “Over and Over Again,” cracked the UK Top 20 and both hit No. 1 on the US Billboard Dance Chart. His solo career is definitely off to a great start.

The 23-year-old Brit teams up with American rapper G-Eazy, of “Me, Myself & I” featuring Bebe Rexha fame. The pairing seems odd at first, but “Give It Up” works. The pop-soul number is his most commercial yet and poised to best its predecessor.

“I think it’s a bit unexpected for me to have a rapper feature on one of my tracks, but I love surprising people and G-Eazy is smashing it right now.” – Sykes told PEOPLE

For the accompanying visual, directed by Michael Baldwin, Sykes gets frisky with his lady love, in and out of bed. Someone’s all horned up 😉 Check out the clip below.

Over And Over Again” is already a sweet ballad on its own. With Ariana Grande on the new version, it’s even sweeter. These two may not have worked out in the romance department, but professionally speaking, they make beautiful music together. Their voices suit each other so well.

“I can’t wait for everyone to hear the new version of Over And Over Again,” Nathan shared. “It’s such a special song to me and I’m delighted that I’m able to share this with not only a friend of mine but also somebody who is incredibly talented.”

This marks the second time Nathan Sykes and Grande have teamed up for a powerful ballad. The former Wanted singer assisted Grande on “Almost Is Never Enough” off her Yours Truly LP and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack.

It’ll be interesting to see if Sykes films another music video for the single. The Notebook-inspired one is great and all but would love to see Ariana as his leading lady instead. Check out their beautiful collabo below.

Someone’s watched The Notebook a few too many times. Nathan Sykes or someone on his team is clearly a fan of the Nicholas Sparks film adaptation. The “Over And Over Again” music video is pretty much a carbon copy. It too, has a heartbreaking ending.

Frank Borin directs the visual which chronicles the love story of a couple played by Sykes and model MaeMae Renfrow. Both do a respectable job of channeling Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Be sure to have a tissue or two or three handy before checking out the video.

The ballad is the next official single off the 21-year-old musician’s solo debut album. It follows his slick “Kiss Me Quick” offering. That track cracked the Top 20 in the UK and topped the Billboard Dance chart thanks to a few slinky remixes. The Jump Smokers remix is worth checking out, if you haven’t heard yet. Watch the former The Wanted band member’s newest clip below.

Nathan Sykes kicked off his solo career a couple months ago with “More Than You’ll Ever Know.” The 21-year-old was wise to ditch The Wanted. While Max George may have been the cutest, Sykes was the most talented, and clearly the Justin Timberlake of the group.

Speaking of which, Nathan’s new single gives off major JT vibes. “Kiss Me Quick” is another strong offering with its smooth soulful throwback sound. It harkens a 90s R&B beat without sounding too dated. I quite like it actually.

For his debut album, he reportedly worked with the likes Babyface, Diane Warren and Harmony Samuels. I expect a few soaring ballads in the mix given the aforementioned names.

For those hoping for a faster BPM, I also embedded a killer dance remix from Jump Smokers. Check out “Kiss Me Quick” music video a view below, along with the club overhaul.

Nathan Sykes Releases Slick Music Video For Solo Debut

In: Donovan, Music

Just last week, Nathan Sykes debuted his first solo effort without the rest of his band mates. “More Than You’ll Ever Know” is a surprisingly mature offering from the 21-year-old singer. IMHO, he’s the most gifted vocalist from The Wanted. He’s clearly the Justin Timberlake of the boy band.

For the accompanying visual, Sykes went for an equally slick vibe. The black and white clip directed by Thomas Bryant features Nathan singing while various clips of a couple engaging with each other are inserted. It’s perfectly suited for the jazz-inspired track.

The single has grown on me since hearing it initially. You can’t help but snap your fingers with Nathan. Check out the video below.

The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes Debuts First Solo Single

In: Donovan, Music

Max George may have been the cutest member of now defunct boy band The Wanted. However, when it comes to talent, I’d give the gold star to Nathan Sykes.

I never really noticed him until his collaboration with Ariana Grande on “Almost Is Never Enough.” The 21-year-old singer can really blow. He impressed me during several live performances promoting the duet.

Sykes premiered his new single titled “More Than You’ll Ever Know” this week. The jazz-inspired track featuring horns and fingers snaps finds Nathan confessing his love for a girl. Not what I was expecting from him, but a surprisingly mature offering.

No word on when his debut album will drop, but he previously revealed he worked with the likes of Babyface, Diane Warren and Harmony Samuels. I expect a few soaring ballads in the mix given the aforementioned names. Give his solo track a listen below and weigh in afterward.

When the press constantly calls you the next Mariah Carey, it’s only wise to placate them. Ariana Grande continues to channel the “#Beautiful” singer in her latest clip. Whether it’s Carey’s signature short denim shorts, the mismatched prints, outdoor graffiti backdrop or the dancers busting out some old school dance movies, “Baby I” is serving up major 90s realness. It’s a fun visual which should’ve really been released during the summer.

Grande’s debut album Yours, Truly hit the streets this week and immediately shot up to No. 1 on the iTunes album charts. Naturally, Ariana has been everywhere promoting it. One of those engagements saw her performing “Almost Is Never Enough” on Live With Kelly & Michael. Sufficed to say, she slayed it, along with her duet partner The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes. They were giving me Carey-Boyz II Men shivers during it. I really hope the rumors about these two dating are true. They’re just so damn adorable. Check out Ariana’s new visual below along with her wicked live performance.

Ariana Grande continues to fashion her recording career after Mariah Carey. And for that I’m grateful. The mini Mimi just premiered the music video for her ballad “Almost Is Never Enough.” The cut is featured on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack and will also be included on Ariana’s debut album Yours Truly due out in early September.

Grande once again shows off her powerful vocals in this beautiful and tender slow jam. It could easily fit in with any of Carey’s early albums. Just like her idol, Ariana loves to duet with male singers. This time, she teams up with The Wanted’s youngest member Nathan Sykes. Who knew Sykes has such soul in his voice? For a couple of moments there, I thought it was Brian McKnight on the track.

These two definitely make beautiful music together and if they’re not already a couple, they really should be. The two singers look at ease in the recording studio with one another and look adorable while engaging in playful teasing on the couch. Check out the video below which features them and footage from The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
