Executing a period comedy spoof is no easy task. Just ask Seth MacFarlane who bombed big time with A Million Ways To Die In The West. Director Jack Plotnick takes a stab at the genre with Space Station 76- a dark comedy set in outer space. There hasn’t been a memorable space comedy spoof since Spaceballs. Hopefully, this ends the drought.

In a 1970s-version of the future, a group of people and robots living on a space station face inner turmoil when a new assistant captain arrives, sparking tension. A few of the inhabitants include Matt Bomer, Patrick Wilson, Marisa Coughlan, Matthew Morrison, Jerry O’Connell and Liv Tyler. Sony hasn’t set a release date as of yet, but premiered the first trailer. It looks like a fun little romp. Love the costumes and set decoration. Check out the trailer below.

On His Wedding To Simon Halls

“It was very chill. Very small—only our nearest and dearest. There’s a security, a validity of knowing that it’s legal. It’s hard to put into words. It’s just a feeling, I guess—something about saying vows in front the people around you who love and support you. I think it was good for our family.

When Matt Bomer publicly came out as gay two years ago, he omitted a very important detail about his personal life. Turns out, the 36-year-old was already hitched. He reveals in the latest issue of Details magazine that he secretly married his longtime partner, Simon Halls, back in 2011. The White Collar actor and Hollywood power publicist have three sons: 6-year-old twins and an 8-year-old.

In addition to dropping that bombshell, Bomer talks about his upcoming role in HBO’s highly-anticipated movie, The Normal Heart. Matt plays a gay man dying of AIDS during the early days of the epidemic in New York City. He reportedly lost 40 pounds for the role. Bomer reveals he sought advice from his Magic Mike co-star Matthew McConaughey who famously lost major weight for his Oscar-winning turn in Dallas Buyers Club. Check out more pics and quotes below.

It charts the activism of writer and activist, Ned Weeks (Mark Ruffalo) who mounts a battle to raise awareness and organize for research and help. Julia Roberts plays wheelchair-bound Dr. Emma Brookner who warns the community of the looming epidemic. “You are all going to infect each other,” she sternly says in the trailer.

Rounding out the cast are Taylor Kitsch, Jim Parsons, Matt Bomer, Jonathan Groff, Alfred Molina and Denis O’Hare. It airs on May 25 on HBO at 9pm. Check out the trailer below.

Need your HBO gay fix now that Looking‘s first season is over? The network just released a teaser trailer for their next big LGBT offering. BTW, how great was the season finale for Looking? The Golden Girls touch at the end was everything.

On Sunday, May 25th, Ryan Murphy’s highly-anticipated adaptation of Larry Kramer’s Tony award-winning 1985 play The Normal Heart premieres. It follows a group of gay men living in New York City during the 80s HIV/AIDS epidemic spread. It boasts a star-studded cast including Julia Roberts, Matt Bomer, Jim Parsons, Mark Ruffalo and Taylor Kitsch. Ruffalo and Kitsch play lovers in the film. Check out the teaser below.

“It’s a movie about AIDS, but it’s also really a civil rights movie,” says Ryan Murphy, who worked with Kramer on the script for three years. “I think it’s more timely than ever before. It’s really about the quest to be seen, not as a gay person or a straight person but just a person…. It’s an activist movie that also has a really great love story in it.” Adds the director, “Of everything I’ve done in my career, I think it is the biggest labor of love.”

After checking out this video from HBO, I realize I watch a lot of the network’s programming. From Girls, True Blood, The Newsroom, Behind the Candelabra and Game of Thrones, clearly I’m a fan. I should really consider purchasing some stock.

The network released a video highlighting some of their best programming from the past year. It also gives a preview of what’s to come in 2014. Included in that bunch is the highly-anticipated new series Looking.

In addition, we also have footage from Ryan Murphy’s adaptation of Larry Kramer’s Tony award-winning 1985 play The Normal Heart. It follows a group of gay men in New York in the 80s during the HIV/AIDS epidemic spread. Matt Bomer’s Da Man Photo Spread

In: Celeb Gossip & News, Donovan, Fashion

He’s just so darn pretty. SIGH. Life’s just not fair sometimes ;)

Matt Bomer definitely knows his bread and butter. He knows he’s dashingly handsome in a suit. Recently, the White Collar actor released a fashion line including bow ties, suits and pocket squares inspired by his character on the show, Neal Caffrey. The 35-year-old is certainly becoming the fashion maven.

Adding to his fashion cred, Bomer pops up in the latest issue of DA MAN magazine. Photographed by Mitchell Nguyen McCormack, Matt’s spread is stylishly cool and relaxed. I love the blue blazer and plaid pant look. Soooo hot. Check out a few photos from his shoot, along with a few quotes where he discusses being a father, keeping sane in Hollywood and his next project.

On Staying Sane In Hollywood

Having a life outside of the business that grounds you. For me, it’s my family. They always come first, and always will. But it doesn’t have to be exclusive to family. There are lots of things that keep the business in perspective. We’re very blessed to be able to tell stories. It’s an essential way for humankind to understand itself: who we are, where we come from, where we could be going, what we’re capable of. But at the end of the day, if you’re not living a life outside of the business, you’re going to run out of things to bring to the table.
