When the ABC series based on the Martin Caidin novel Cyborg aired in 1973, the titular character was worth six million dollars. After forty plus years and inflation factored in, the cost of bionic legs, an arm and left eye now costs billions. The Weinstein Co.’s Dimension Films label is producing a reboot of the classic now titled The Six Billion Dollar Man.

For those who don’t recall, or weren’t born yet, the series told the story of an astronaut named Steve Austin played by Lee Majors aka Mr. Farrah Fawcett. After a horrific plane crash, doctors outfit him with bionic parts. With his new-found powers, the US government enlists him as a secret agent for the Office of Scientific Intelligence. The original series aired for five seasons and spawned a spin-off, The Bionic Woman starring Lindsay Wagner. Find out who’s attached to the project below.

For the second straight year, Robert Downey, Jr tops Forbes Highest Paid Actors list. The 49-year-old actor leads the pack with an astonishing $75 million earned between June 2013 and June 2014. Coincidentally, the Iron Man star earned the same amount on the 2013 list.

Channing Tatum who took the runner-up slot last year lands nowhere on the 2014 Top 10 list. Taking his place is Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson with $52 million, jumping from fifth place with $46 million last year. Rounding out the top three is Bradley Cooper with $46 million.

The lone Avenger to accompany Downey, Jr. on the 2014 list is Chris Hemsworth with $37 million. I’m a little surprised Chris Evans didn’t make the cut, when Will Smith did. When was the last time the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air starred in a hit movie? Check out the rest of the Top 10 below.

You can definitely tell a Michael Bay movie a mile away can’t you? Surround extremely photogenic actors with loud explosions and special effects and voila… another potential Summer blockbuster. While I never really got into the first three Transformer films, I’m willing to give this next trilogy a shot due to Mark Wahlberg’s addition.

“We really are going to do a reboot there, and what that’s going to be we don’t even know yet,” producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura had explained in an interview with MTV. “It’s a hybrid…It’s an evolution. There’s still continuity that’s going on, and yet there’ll be a lot of new cast.”

Wahlberg plays Cade Yeager, a single father and struggling mechanic, trying to support his daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz) and protect her from race car driver boyfriend, Shane (Jack Reynor). In between all that father-daughter drama, giant robots engage in some serious mechanical warfare. The battle between Optimus Prime and a Dinobot T-Rex in some random Asian metropolis looks pretty sick. It’s about time the Dinobots showed up.

Rounding out the Transformers: Age of Extinction cast are Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing and T.J. Miller. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27. Check out the trailer below.

Ted Gets A New Playmate For Sequel

In: Donovan, Movies

Adios Mila Kunis. Mark Wahlberg is getting a new love interest for the Ted sequel. If you’re looking for some juicy behind the scenes drama as to why, there isn’t one. Seth MacFarlane reveals the decision to replace Kunis’ Lori Collins character was entirely a creative one. He did say, however, that Kunis might have a brief cameo in the film. Find out who rounds out the Ted-Wahlberg menage à trois below?

A&E Orders A Second Helping Of Wahlburgers

In: Donovan, TV Shows

It appears America has fallen in love with Boston’s first family. After debuting with a little over 3 million viewers, Wahlburgers has improved week after week. With regards to the coveted 18-49 demo, the show is tied for second with NBC’s Chicago P.D. and behind only the recently completed American Horror Story: Coven. Not surprisingly, A&E ordered 18 more episodes of the family reality show. That’s a lot of beef.

“Viewers are responding to the heartwarming dynamics of Boston’s first family as they balance living in the Hollywood spotlight and growing a business,” – David McKillop, general manager and executive vp of A&E.

Wahlburgers follows Chef Paul Wahlberg and his famous brothers, Mark and Donnie, as they run their family burger joint in Beantown. A homage to their humble beginnings, the hamburger restaurant is home base for the gang from the old neighborhood, including the real Johnny “Drama” and their spirited mother Alma. Check out a few clips from the A&E series below.

Lone Survivor co-stars Taylor Kitsch and Mark Wahlberg dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote their film, opening this weekend. Since both actors trained with the Navy Seals for their roles, DeGeneres challenged the boys to compete in an obstacle course. The winner of the race would not only win bragging rights, but also a $10,000 check furnished by ShutterFly to support their charity of choice.

With Kitsch being a decade younger than Wahlberg, one would naturally give the Canadian the edge. At one point, it’s neck-in-neck but one handily prevailed. In the end, it really didn’t matter who won since both chose the same charity to support, The Lone Survivor Fund. Watch the video below to find out who won.

A&E Debuts Juicy Wahlburgers Teaser Trailer

In: Donovan, TV Shows

Everyone knows Mark and Donnie, but how about Paul? He’s another one from the Wahlberg clan. You’ll get to know more about this brother if you tune in to A&E’s upcoming docu-series titled Wahlburgers.

The show chronicles Mark & Donnie heading back to their native Boston to help their older bro out with his new hamburger restaurant. You’ll also get to know their spirited mother Alma. In the teaser, she reveals a time when it wasn’t cool to be her famous sons’ mother. I can only imagine the trouble they got into as kids.

Wahlburgers premieres on A&E on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Watch the new promo below to find out exactly what’s in a Donnie Double D burger. I hope it has nothing to do with Donnie’s girlfriend, Jenny McCarthy’s breasts. I’d much rather have some secret sauce ;)

Mark Wahlberg Is The Lone Survivor

In: Donovan, Movies

Based on Marcus Luttrell’s New York best-selling novel, Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10, Lone Survivor chronicles a 2005 mission called “Operation Red Wing” which found Seal Team 10 on a mission to capture a Taliban leader named Admad Shad in Afghanistan. Sadly, the operation failed leaving Luttrell as the sole survivor. Mark Wahlberg plays the former Navy Seal.

Lone Survivor hits theaters December 27th, 2013. Can we say Oscar-bait? Joining Wahlberg in the film are Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster, Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Ludwig, Eric Bana, Jerry Ferrara, Scott Elrod. On a superficial note, how good-looking is the cast? The film is directed by Peter Berg. Check out the new trailer below.
