Previously on America’s Next Top Model, Ann began her inevitable crash and burn as the the wannabes took on a commercial for some water no one’s ever heard of. They roller skated in cute little summer outfits and tried to deliver some lines. Several of the girls experienced a serious case of Tragicitis. Ann was heinous and ended up in the bottom two for the first time. Esther was awkward and flat. Liz didn’t seem to five a shit. Kayla was too afraid of her male model to do anything. The only two who really delivered were Jane and Chris. Esther and her giant boobs got the boot. Can Ann bounce back after two disappointing weeks? Will Kayla overcome her fear of men? Will Tyrant try some ridiculous Italian accent? Who will get eliminated tonight?
Before we get to ANTM, let me talk to you about VFW. That’s Vancouver Fashion Week. I just got home from a couple runway shows… Jacqueline Conoir and some men’s wear line that is not worth mentioning. It had the feel of trying to be something it’s not, but it was cute. A couple of the girls were fierce and a few of them even slipped. Loved it.
We’re heading into the final stretch for this cycle of ANTM, which means the TOP 6 girls are heading overseas. It should come as no surprise that the remaining models are flown to Italy, since this is the “high fashion” season. Judging by the pictures, their first stop is Venice. Overall, I’m happy with the girls left in the running. The only one I’d swap out is Liz and I’d replace her with Kendal. Damn, that girl was stunning.
Joining the panel this week is designer Margherita Missoni. The guest judges this season keep getting better and better. Hopefully Tyra and Andre Leon Talley can keep this momentum going for Cycle 16. If you want a sneak peek at next week’s episode of ANTM Cycle 15, check out the pictures below.
As previously speculated, “America’s Next Top Model” is trying to go all legit for Cycle 15. Tyra Banks is attempting to make ANTM go high fashion this go around. Sure, she’s made that claim before, but this time she has Andre Leon Talley in her corner. Sources say, he was instrumental in getting Italian Vogue and a group of well-respected fashion designers on board.
Instead of randoms on the judging panel, they’ve bagged some fashion heavyweights to take turns dwindling down the 14 model wannabes. Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port, I love you both, but you have no business on that panel. Signing on to judge and critique the ladies are Roberto Cavalli, Zac Posen, Diane Von Furstenberg, Margherita Missoni and Italian Vogue editor-in-chief, Franca Sozzani. Ann Shoket, you and your nose will be missed.. NOT.
I’m pleasantly surprised the CW released video interviews of the models instead of their heinous cast shots first. I think you’re able to better grasp their personalities and model potential this way. Remember last cycle, that awful 80s aerobic styling. Great for a theme party but not flattering at all.

She may look like Gollum’s long-lost sister, but that’s actually a good thing for this cycle. Ann’s tried to book an agency numerous times, but has been turned down for being too tall. Standing at a behemoth 6’2″, Ann also has the smallest waist in the world, according to the ANTM promos. Someone give this Gothic Lolita an In-N-Out burger immediately.
