In the vein of So You Think You Can Dance and American Idol, Andrew Christian holds auditions of his own. The lucky ones to advance get a ticket to Las Vegas for the MATINÉE Festival over Memorial Day weekend. It’s four days of fun that includes eight parties, 20 DJs and lots of hot boys.
In charge of handing out the coveted tickets are Pandora Boxx, Davey Wavey, Todrick Hall and Andrew Christian himself. Watch them as they drool, manhandle and rate the sexy studs paraded in front of them. Note to future hopefuls: Flirt with Pandora. From the looks of it, she’s your best bet to advance. Also making appearances in the promo video are Drag Race alums Raja and Manila Luzon.
While it’s not as racy as their other videos, it does showcase a lot of jiggling bare booties and salacious behavior, ergo me saving it til Saturday to post the NSFW clip. Enjoy and if you’re in Vegas, have fun and be on the look out for the AC boys.

Last year, our own very Tommy D brought us to Gotham. This year he has an exciting new adventure for Vancouver Pride. He’s sweeping us to the magical land of Oz complete with performances by Manila Luzon, Morgan McMichaels and newly-crowned Drag Superstar Jinkx Monsoon.
TFD Presents just dropped its first promo vid for the party and it’s a scorcher. Playing the role of Theodore (Dorothy’s brother) is SYTYCD Canada alum Mackenzie Green. If I included Canadian dancers on my Hottest SYTYCD Dancers List, he definitely would’ve made it, along with Nico Archambault (SIGH).
Mackenzie makes his way to OZ by dancing to Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls)” while wearing glittery red high-tops and gingham swim trunks. It’s Dorotny’s attire but gay’d up. What else do you need for slutty season aka Pride. Check out the promo clip for Rapture: OZ below.

I can’t with this story, it’s too much. Drag Race mega goddess and friend to Homorazzi MANILA LUZON is at the forefront of a fabulous scandal.
In an article by CHARISMA NEWS (which is the gayest name I have ever heard), it states that this is the second year of this controversial drag show at the University of San Diego. ‘The drag show will be emceed by Manila Luzon, a professional drag queen and openly homosexual man who advocates same-sex “marriage.” ‘
Like I can’t, it’s SO FUNNY! Marriage in quotation is too much, and Manila Luzon a professional? PLEASE ;)

FINALLY! FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!
I didn’t get her during s3, I didn’t get her during Drag U but I finally got an interview with MANILA LUZON! Arguably one of the most popular queens to ever grace the RPDR runway, Manila took some time this morning to chat with me!
Yes, I woke her up (blame the agents booking the interviews) from partying it up after Obama won the election last night, but this was one of my favourite interviews ever. I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time. Manila dishes on all of the eliminated contestants, and some of the ones that are still in it. She also explains how her new music video with Latrice Royale came to be.
Take a listen to it below, and don’t forget to buy “THE CHOP“…available on iTunes!

First of all let me say sorry for my lack of review last week. I was drunk with Team RUJUBEE in Seattle. Like really drunk. Like we were all blind by the end of the night drunk. Oy vey, but I’m back this week in full force and ready to spill the T.
I want to start off my saying that tonight’s episode was really weird. Yes it was funny because who doesn’t love seeing Shannel walk on all four and bark like a dog, but to me I don’t understand what this had to do with being a drag queen. I also have some insider information that I will divulge later, but overall this entire episode was very fishy…and not in a good way.
Back in the work room after the last elimination of team Brown Flowers (NOT CUTE! I pegged Nina to be a finalist, she is the fiercest from that show EVER) we learned of the next mini challenge; taking butch queen realness photos. Sure…why not? They’ve done pretty much everything else they could why not just take some weird man photos. Yarlexis took this and I don’t even remember what their prize was? (Was there a prize?)

FINALLY! RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars has begun, and in TRUE drag race form it was everything. I don’t know about you, but I can just sit and watch drag race all day everyday. It’s all I want to do. I’m a little disappointed that it’s only 6 episodes, but what are you gonna do. I’ve got lots to say about it so let’s get right into it shall we?
One by one the all stars are introduced, the budget has clearly gotten higher because the beginning intros were fabulous. We are introduced to the 12 queens from the past 4 seasons that have made the cut and are called all stars. My favorite looks as they walked in were Pandora, Manila, Raven, Mimi Imfurst and of course my personal All Star Nina Flowers, who in true Nina form took the cake as the best look. I have to give major props to Mimi because I don’t think many will (even though in my opinion she totally deserves them) but she looked ferosh. She’s got a new look, a new body and her paint was flawless.
We find out right away that the queens are going to paired up (in groups of 2). Oh yes, they both have to be flawless or else they go home. If either queen screws up, they jeopardize the team. Each of the queens had to pick who they wanted to be paired up with, and if there was a match, that was the team. If not they keep going. They only had to go through 2 rounds and only one pairing was assigned by lady Fate. Here are the teams in my personal favourite order…

I’m truly shocked and saddened by this. At the young age of 27-years-old, drag superstar Sahara Davenport has passed away. The cause of his death has yet to be made public, but several sources close to him have confirmed his death. His longtime boyfriend, Karl Westerberg, tweeted, “I love him so much”. As you might now Karl competed on the third season of the Logo reality show as Manila Luzon. I can’t even imagine what he’s going through. Davenport wowed viewers during his time on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2 where he placed seventh.
“Logo is profoundly saddened by the passing of Antoine Ashley who fans around the world knew and loved as Sahara Davenport. He was an amazing artist and entertainer who’ll be deeply missed by his Logo family. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, especially his boyfriend Karl, in their time of need.” – Logo network
Born Antoine Ashley, Sahara Davenport originally hails from Gaithersburg, Maryland. He was a classically trained dancer and began dabbling in drag while studying at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance. Upon graduation he moved to New York where he blossomed. During his career he appeared on ABC’s One Life To Live and A&E’s 15 Films About Madonna. He also popped up in music videos for David Guetta and Chris Will’s “Getting Over“. Sahara also released two singles of his own, “Pump With Me” and “Go Off“. In addition, Davenport and his boyfriend Manila Luzon released a cover of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” last Decemeber.

Well look at what we have here?
RuPaul’s Drag Race ALL STAR and probably still one of the most popular queens from the franchise has released a music video to her single “Best XXXcessory“. I don’t know what it is about Manila Luzon, but so far I feel like she’s been consistent with all of her post Drag Race releases. Her songs are really cute, very well produced, there’s an underlying theme to all of them (she’s a drag queen, it’s either about makeup, hair, shoes or clothes) and overall, her videos are just always REALLY well done.
As I mentioned, this fall Manila will be joining 11 other past contestants for the Drag Race All Stars 6 episode run. I personally think she has a really strong chance of being in the top 5 for sure. The episodes start airing October 22nd on LOGO (in ths US) and aof course OUTtv (In Canada).
And if you’re in Vancouver, Manila Luzon is coming on October 5! Details are all right here. For now, enjoy her new video below!
