Lady Gaga Goes Bare Face For Porter Magazine

In: Donovan, Music
lady-gaga-porter-magazine

It’s a stunt Lady Gaga has previously executed a couple times prior. Mother Monster went fresh faced for Harper’s Bazaar and V Magazine in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Completing the sans make-up trifecta, Gaga ditches all the glamor warpaint for Porter magazine.

Well, not completely bare. I’m sure some subtle mascara and nude cosmetics were used. Regardless of what or wasn’t applied, the “G.U.Y.” singer should really consider this less-is-more approach. With the 70s-looking hair, the 28-year-old entertainer is seriously channeling young Stevie Nicks, no? Check out a couple more pics snapped by Inez & Vinoodh below.

“It is often easy to forget that there is actually a young woman – and an exceptional musician – behind the wigs and the costumes, the hype and the theatrics. With these pictures, we wanted to reveal the woman behind the Lady, the artist behind the artifice. Indeed when I first saw Inez & Vinoodh‘s shot of Gaga wearing nothing but her grandmother’s vintage robe – the piece she often wears to write her music in – I just knew it had to be the cover. It felt authentic, personal and beautiful, and unlike any image I have seen of her before.” – Porter Magazine editor-in-chief Lucy Yeomans

Chris Evans Talks Retirement For Variety

In: Celeb Gossip & News, Donovan
chris-evans-variety-magazine

Is Chris Evans the best actor ever? Probably not. With that being said, I’ll still miss him when he retires from acting. He always adds that extra sex appeal to whatever film he’s involved in. The 32-year-old actor revealed to Variety that he’s ready to quit his career in front of the camera.

“I’ve known for a while I wanted to direct. But [time] never really opens up. There’s another movie to do, there’s another acting job. It just got to a point where I was like, you know what — I have to do this,” says Chris Evans. He adds, “I can’t see myself pursuing acting strictly outside of what I’m contractually obligated to do.”

With Evans still under contract for three more Marvel films, we have a few more years before his impending retirement takes place. Perhaps he’ll change his mind in that time.

Chris recently finished his directorial debut, 1:30 Train. The romance film stars Alice Eve, Mark Kassen and Evans. Check out more pics of Chris in Variety below which were snapped by photographer Danielle Levitt.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Smolders For Details Magazine

In: Donovan, Fashion

There’s no denying Game of Thrones finally made Nikolaj Coster-Waldau into a household name. However, I’ve been a fan of the Danish actor ever since I saw him in a steamy scene (literally) with Paul Bettany in Wimbledon. I’m like who’s this sexy beast. At last, the 43-year-old is getting parts in major motion pictures. He previously starred with Tom Cruise in Oblivion and next month, he three times on Cameron Diaz in The Other Woman. Diaz has nothing but praise for her co-star.

“Men aspire to be like him, which is the one thing all the leading men I’ve known have in common. Women aspire to, well, find a man like him.” Plus, Cameron adds, “he’s really good-looking.”

He’s so convincing in his role as a womanizer, he tells the publication his wife of 16 years started receiving letters claiming he was cheating with Diaz. The notes read, “‘You should know that your husband is cheating on you with Cameron Diaz. Cameron Diaz is not to be trusted.’ My wife just laughed, but still.”

Coster-Waldau also left a great impression with The Other Woman director, Nick Cassavetes.

“He’s handsome as hell, which makes him a very easy person to hate. But he’d better get used to it, because he’s going to be the biggest movie star. I’m serious. He’s got the looks, the talent, the charisma — I’m flipping through scripts right now looking for parts for him.”

If there is one exercise I extremely loathe, it’s those damn pull-ups. I’ve never been able to master it and always get tuckered out quickly. Kit Haringon, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have any problems doing them on the cover of Men’s Health UK. No wonder the 27-year-old actor had a rockin’ body in Pompeii.

Harington looks absolutely delicious wearing a simple tee with a pair of Nudie jeans on the cover. Speaking of nude, I’d like to see Kit in the buff in upcoming role soon. Please and thank you. Check out more pictures from the publication’s April 2014 issue below.

On Getting In Shape For Pompeii

“I’m not a 6ft 3in guy who can bulk up and just look like an absolute unit, a tank. My body type has a tiny bit of stockiness to it but it’s really quite wiry, so for Pompeii that was the sort of look I had to go for – ‘prison fit’, like Robert De Niro in Cape Fear.”

After playing womanizer Barry Stinson for nine seasons on How I Met Your Mother, naturally the next logical career move is to play an East German transgender singer. To promote his starring role on Broadway in John Cameron Mitchell’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Neil Patrick Harris gets his glitter on for OUT magazine. Photographer Michael Muller snaps the 40-year-old for an artsy editorial for the publication’s latest issue. Check out several pics and quotes from the accompanying interview below.

On How Woman View Him Since Coming Out

“I’ve found that a lot of girls have no issue with me being gay. They still want to marry me. And I love that.”

Simply stunning. There’s no other way to describe how gorgeous Naya Rivera looks in her latest photo shoot. The 27-year-old Glee actress gives glamor realness for Prestige Indonesia’s March 2014 issue. Check out more pics below, along with quotes from the accompanying interview where Naya talks about the industry and her burgeoning recording career.

On Balancing Acting & Singing

“With acting, there are so many avenues. Of course I love television, I started with television. But I’ll probably explore movie roles, then maybe do television again. The opportunities are endless. I love to sing. That’s definitely something I’ll do for the rest of my life. But where do I want to be with my singing career? I don’t know. I think timing is everything. Singing is such an artistic process that can’t be rushed

Shakira Reveals She’s Not Allowed Male Co-Stars

In: Donovan, Music
shakira-billboard-magazine

To each their own, but I didn’t expect this from Shakira. She comes off as such an independent woman that this revelation is a tad surprising.

The Colombian singer revealed to Billboard magazine that her professional soccer player boyfriend Gerard Pique no longer lets her do music videos with men. Ergo why Rihanna is so up close and personal with her in the “Can’t Forget To Remember You” music video.

I can see why some women find it cute that their men want to be all protective but it sounds a little too controlling for my tastes. No? Weigh in below after reading more quotes from Shakira’s interview with the publication.

On Her Boyfriend Gerard Pique’s Rule

“He’s very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women. It’s more than implied in our relationship that I can’t do videos like I used to. It’s out of the question – which I like, by the way. I like that he protects his turf and he values me, in a way that the only person that he would ever let graze my thigh would be Rihanna.”
