A couple of years ago, Jeremy Irons made controversial comments about same-sex marriage in an interview with Huffington Post. The 66-year-old actor sparked outrage, suggesting that legalizing gay marriage might lead to incest between fathers and sons. He implied that benefits of a change in the law might lead to fathers marrying sons in order to pass on property to avoid inheritance tax. Not surprisingly, Irons backtracked on his comments the days following.
“I think gay marriage is wonderful. I think any reason that holds anybody together in a relationship is great,” Jeremy said. “If it works as glue, if it makes you feel better, if it makes you feel you love your partner more, then great.”
His 29-year-old son, Max Irons opens up about his father’s comments in the latest issue of OUT magazine. Here’s what the younger Irons said.
“I remember thinking, You don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re thinking through a problem out loud. I know my father, and his views are similar to mine: As long as you don’t harm anyone else, what you do and who you love are nobody’s business. He has since clarified as far as I understand, and truth be told, if you pushed him to explain what he was talking about, I don’t think he’d actually know.”
Max also talks about carving out his own career in Hollywood, his role models and his upcoming film, The Riot Club, for the publication. Check out more quotes below, along with photos snapped by Kai Z. Feng.
If James Franco’s sexuality confused you before, this latest interview will have you scratching your head even more. The 36-year-old actor addresses his sexual orientation by having his straight persona interview his gay one for FourTwoNine magazine. In essence, Franco is ‘gay’ in his art, but ‘straight’ in his life.
“Straight” James asked himself, “Are you f–king gay or what?,” to which “gay” James replied, “Well, I like to think that I’m gay in my art and straight in my life. Although, I’m also gay in my life up to the point of intercourse, and then you could say I’m straight. So I guess it depends on how you define gay. If it means whom you have sex with, I guess I’m straight. In the twenties and thirties, they used to define homosexuality by how you acted and not by whom you slept with. Sailors would fuck guys all the time, but as long as they behaved in masculine ways, they weren’t considered gay.”
James has several films coming out in 2015, including three this Spring alone- True Story, Everything Will Be Fine and I Am Michael. I’m most looking forward to the latter where he plays a real life former gay activist who denounces homosexuality and becomes a Christian pastor.
Check out more riveting questions answered by Franco asked by himself below, along with photos snapped by Damon Baker.
I mean seriously!!! Can those pants be any tighter? Not that I’m complaining.
All last year, Nick Jonas cock teased everyone in North American and now he’s doing the same, but this time to the French boys. Le Marais, the Paris gay-bourhood, won’t know what hit them.
The 22-year-old appears on the April 2015 issue of Tetu magazine wearing, naturally, some Louis Vuitton. You can’t appear on a French gay mag without rocking undoubtedly the most prolific Parisian fashion label.
I can’t wait to see the inside editorial. The publication is known for their stylishly sensual spreads. Until then, marvel at the sizzling cover above.
She may not have the same magic touch when it comes to album sales when compared to her hey day, but Britney Spears is looking hotter than ever these days. I mean c’mon, those legs are killer on the cover of the latest issue of Billboard magazine. Holy MILF!!!
For the accompanying interview, the 33-year-old singer talks about new music. She reveals she’s working, albeit slowly, on her eighth studio album. Given that Britney Jean gave Spears her lowest debut for a studio set ever at 107,000 copies, I don’t blame her for taking her time. Two bombs in a row would be catastrophic for her career.
“I’m gonna do [a new album] slowly but surely,” Spears tells Billboard. “There’s a lot going on with my kids and schools and, you know, adding new sports and stuff like that. I’m gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it’s not my full priority right now.” The mother of sons Sean Preston, 9, and Jayden James, 8, then added with a laugh, “Kids can drive you crazy.”
If you haven’t noticed yet, the promotional train for Game of Thrones is in overdrive. With a month to go until the Season 5 premiere, HBO is making sure everyone knows the fantasy drama is back on April 12.
Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Maisie Williams each grace their own separate cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. The magazine traveled with the cast and crew to three countries and spent ten days on set to give a preview of what’s to come this upcoming season. Don’t worry, it’s all spoiler free.
“Worlds are colliding,” showrunner David Benioff, said to EW.com. “One of the things we’ve been most excited about from the beginning of the series is we’ve had all these far-flung story lines across Westeros and Essos which almost never cross. Now some of these characters start to head on a collision course for each other.”
In addition to issuing four collectible covers, the publication devoted an unprecedented 30 pages exploring the past, present and future of the HBO series. This issue is a must-have for any hardcore fan. Check out the other covers snapped by photographer Marc Hom below.
Season 5 of Game of Thrones is just around the corner. Who else is counting the days???
In anticipation of its April 12 premiere, GQ Australia put two of the fantasy drama’s hot male stars on the cover of its March/April 2015 issue. Both Kit Harington and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau smolder in their respective pictures.
If the images look familiar, you’re very perceptive. Harington’s was first shown on last year’s GQ Style Bible and Coster-Waldau’s pics were from GQ Espana’s Feb 2015 issue according to thefashionisto.com.
I don’t blame the publication for recycling the photos from previous editions. Both look fine as hell. But which stud is hotter? Sound off below in the comments section.
Most would rather see Nick Jonas without his clothes on. Me included. However, it’s nice to see him rocking out some stylish threads for a change. The 22-year-old singer can wear anything and make it look fantastic.
Jonas suits up for a slick editorial featuring some tailored looks and casual ones for the latest issue of Icon. He’s photographed by Michael Schwartz for the March issue of the Spanish publication. Check out more pics below of Nick exuding effortless swagger.
How do you celebrate turning 21-years-old? Showing off your body transformation for a national fitness magazine of course. Justin Beiber shows Men’s Health readers he’s no longer that scrawny teenage pop singer anymore.
In the cover story titled “The Reinvention of Justin Bieber,” the “Boyfriend” singer reflects on the public growing pains he’s experienced the past few years that have tarnished his image. It’s good to see him addressing his past conduct and mistakes.
“I had to grow up so quick. And it was almost like I grew up for the public but I didn’t necessarily grow up. There were things I had to do, as far as the way I had to make relationships, and conversation, but as far as actually growing up, there were a lot of things I missed out on.” – Bieber on growing up in the public eye
Along with getting introspective, the Biebs shares his workout routine with the publication’s readers. He also reveals his bromance crush on Ben Affleck. Who knew?
I have to say his team is doing an outstanding job trying to rehab his image. From his upcoming Comedy Central Roast to his mea culpa on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Justin is definitely on the right path to redemption. Check out more pics snapped by Peter Hapak below, along with more quotes.
