Just days after teasing their joint editorial, Madonna and Katy Perry’s spread in V Magazine is here in full. The dynamic duo pose for Steven Klein for the publication’s “Power of Pop” issue. It’s Bettie Paige meets S&M dominatrix dungeon.

Even though it’s clearly obvious the amount of Photoshop used to make Madge remotely look Katy’s age, I like the photo editorial. I’d love for these two to collaborate in the recording studio as well.

On The Physicality Of The Photoshoot

Katy Perry: I was sore in my upper body and in my butt area from all that squatting.
Madonna: It’s good to be sore in your butt. My neck is sore from that wonderful moment when I was sucking on your heel.

Katy Perry & Madonna Tease Joint V Magazine Editorial

In: Donovan, Music

Katy Perry and Madonna have joined forces for V magazine’s upcoming Summer issue. The two serve dominatrix chic in the S&M-inspired editorial. Both pop stars teased their upcoming feature in the publication on their respective Instagram accounts, practically causing a social media frenzy.

You just know Lady Gaga who recently criticized Perry is foaming at the mouth that she’s not part of this. Check out Madge’s photo below and weigh in afterward on which pop diva did it better.

Watch Madonna Promote MDNA Skin Care Line In Japan

In: Donovan, Music

Want skin like Madonna? You better buy a plane ticket to Tokyo because that’s the only place where the 55-year-old’s MDNA Skin Care Line is available to purchase.

The range of products include a skin rejuvenator, a chrome clay mask and a serum which promise “firm, resilient and radiant skin overflowing with energy.” Interesting how it fails to mention all the Botox and other fillers that I’m pretty sure Ms Ciccone has dabbled in throughout the years. Check out the video below.

Everyone ages but to see it in a matter of seconds is truly fascinating.

Some enterprising fan took the time to showcase Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera age from the beginning of their careers til present day. Spears and Aguilera’s changes aren’t too drastic since it’s been only 16 years since they made their pop breakthroughs. However, with Madge’s case it spans a whopping three decades from virginal pop tart to golden girl.

Check out each pop queen’s aging process below. Weigh in afterward on who has the best genes or best plastic surgeon ;)

Just when you thought Miley Cyrus had forsaken her country roots, the 21-year-old entertainer brought Nashville to Los Angeles for her MTV Unplugged special. She even brought out a couple of fake horses, bedazzled denim outfits and her country twang for the occasion.

While most of the songs she performed were off her Bangerz album, she did pay homage to her godmother Dolly Parton by singing “Jolene.” Too bad, Cyrus didn’t resurrect “Can’t Be Tamed” and “Party In The USA” for her mini-concert. She must really find those tracks cringeworthy.

Speaking of cringeworthy, watching Madonna and Miley bumping and grinding up on each other was far more uncomfortable than seeing Cyrus shake her ass on Robin Thicke’s junk at the VMAs. With that said, like a seven car pileup, I couldn’t turn away during their “We Can’t Stop” “Tell Me” medley.

“A lot of what she represented for me is a lot of what I try to represent to girls now,” Cyrus said of Madonna. “Not being afraid of sexuality, and really being who you want to be and doing what you want to do… ‘Don’t Tell Me’ is basically the same message as what I’m telling my fans in ‘We Can’t Stop’.”

While the special wasn’t a masterclass in vocal gymnastics, it was still an entertaining watch. You don’t go to a Miley concert expecting a Celine Dion type of show. You expect and hope for silly antics and OMFG moments. This definitely had its share. Check out some of the performances below.

Madonna is passing the torch once again to a pop princess. The “Like A Virgin” singer infamously swapped spit with both Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera years ago at the MTV VMAs. This time it’s Miley Cyrus’ turn. However, don’t expect any lip-on-lip action. Early reports say nothing like that happened, although, plenty of bumpin’ and grindin’ occurred. Cyrus even slapped Madge’s butt several times.

“That was pretty f–king cool, you guys,” Miley told E! Online. “It sounds super-lame, but as a pop star it’s pretty cool performing with Madonna…Today was one of those days that it was really easy to get out of bed.”

Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged taped Tuesday night at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood in front of an audience of about 220 people, including Scandal stars Guillermo Diaz (Huck) and Darby Stanchfield (Abby) who sat in the front row. MTV will air the special tonight, Wednesday, January 29.

The 56th Grammy Awards Winners & Performances

In: Donovan, Movies, TV Shows

The French duo of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, better known as Daft Punk, triumphed over Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Rihanna and countless others by taking home some of the night’s biggest awards. They snatched up Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Dance/Electronica Album and the very prestigious Album of the Year. Not bad for a duo who never showed their faces or spoke a single word during the telecast.

Lorde also capped off a remarkable year by winning Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Given her impressive haul, one would think Best New Artist would’ve been a foregone conclusion. That didn’t happen. The Kiwi singer wasn’t even nominated in that category. Instead, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis snatch that coveted accolade.

Speaking of the Seattle-based rap duo, they gave the most memorable performance of the evening. They were joined by Mary Lambert and Madonna during a special rendition of “Same Love” that incorporated Madge’s classic tune, “Open Your Heart.” In the middle of the epic collaboration, Queen Latifah officiated 33 couples getting married. The newlyweds included all creeds, colors and sexualities. It was so moving, it made Keith Urban and other audience members cry. Props to the Grammys for taking a very public and very televised stand for marriage equality.

Other notable performances include Miranda Lambert teaming up with Billie Joe Armstrong, Sara Bareilles with Carole King, Katy Perry, Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Hunter Hayes and Taylor Swift. Even though we’ve all seen P!nk suspended in mid-air, twirling around in ropes before I enjoyed her medley of “Try” and “Just Give Me A Reason.” Beyonce and Jay-Z kicked off the marathon telecast with a sexy live performance of “Drunk In Love.” It was captivatingly simple. Check it out below along with other performances and the list of winners.
