I’m totally on board with this whole without music‘ trend. Without the actual song playing in the background and sound effects amped up, music videos become brilliant comedic clips.

The latest artist to suffer through this treatment is Madonna for her colorful “Bitch, I’m Madonna” visual. The whole thing plays like a comedy-horror short film once the Diplo-produced beat is removed.

Madonna wrestling with the balloons and being choked, along with Chris Rock’s vocals are my favorite parts. Check out the brilliance below courtesy of YouTube user House of Halo.

It’s my wildest gay dreams come true. Perhaps a slight exaggeration but you get my drift.

Ariana Grande headlined the 2015 New York Pride Dance on the Pier. The diminutive singer sang her hits “Break Free” and more to the 10,000 plus crowd. During her set, the 22-year-old chanteuse surprised everyone by performing a killer Whitney Houston/Madonna mashup.

Grande seamlessly blended “I’m Every Woman” with “Vogue.” This needs to be a bonus cut on a future LP and a permanent fixture on her tour. Watch the slayage below.

On a side note, Happy belated birthday to Miss Ariana. The singer just celebrated her birthday over the weekend just like yours truly on June 26.

It’s the most random thing ever but wonderfully perfect at the same time. Amy Schumer is set to open for Madonna for her upcoming Rebel Heart World Tour. Sadly though, it’ll only be for her New York dates on September 16, 17 and 19. Damn lucky New Yorkers!!!

The 34-year-old comedian revealed the big news on Twitter in true Schumer fashion. She shared an adorable clip of herself singing a Madge song from her childhood, attached with the following note: “Guess who auditioned for Madonna and got the part?” Check out the clip below.

Taking a page from Taylor Swift’s playbook, Madonna enlists her famous friends for her star-studded visual “Bitch I’m Madonna.” Unlike Swift’s “Bad Blood” clip though, the guest stars in the video seem like an afterthought.

With exception to Rita Ora, Chris Rock and Diplo, the likes of Beyonce, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus appear to have taped their cameos after Jonas Akerlund finished directing the clip.

Not surprisingly, the clip debuted exclusively on Tidal. If you recall, Madonna made headlines when she lifted her leg on the table while giving her signature.

While “Bad Blood” is a far superior clip, Madge’s latest is still a playful little romp. Lots of colorful and fun fashion abound. Check out it below before Jay-Z’s minions take it down.

Not feeling the Pride spirit yet? Perhaps, Spotify’s new playlist just might do the trick. The service compiled the top streamed songs across pride-themed playlists in the United States.

After analyzing tens of thousands of pride playlists on Spotify, not surprisingly the Top 20 consists mostly of female artists. The gays certainly love their divas. The two male acts to make the cut were Scissor Sisters and Sam Smith. The latter singer’s two ballads “Stay With Me” and “I’m Not The Only One” surprisingly were included.

Which diva do you think reigns supreme? Is it Britney, Whitney, Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Cher or someone else? Maybe it’s drag icon RuPaul. Check out the entire list below to find out.

Madonna Surprises Drake With A Kiss At Coachella

In: Donovan, Music

Generating headlines due to a surprise kiss is old hat for Madonna. Who could forget her infamous kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera at the 2003 MTV VMAs? Her latest victim was none other than Drake.

The 56-year-old diva planted a huge sloppy kiss on the Canadian rapper during his Coachella set. After the make out, she yelled, “I’m Madonna Bitch,” as she walked off stage.

I don’t blame her for seizing the opportunity to lock lips with Drake. He is pretty fiiiiine. Plus, I’m sure this is the secret to Madonna staying youthful. Sucking the life out of younger recording artists ;)

The whole thing went down during a surprise performance of “Human Nature.” Drake reportedly didn’t expect it. He expected the “Living For Love” singer to only walk around him while he sat on a chair.

As headline-worthy the kiss is, it’s Drake’s reaction that has social media buzzing. It appears he was disgusted, but sources tell TMZ say that’s not the case. He liked the kiss, but just not the aftertaste of the Material Girl’s lipstick. Ummm, okay. Who believes that? Check out the clip below and decide for yourself.

From Rebel Heart tracks leaking months in advance of the album’s official release date to Madge using Instagram, Snapchat and Grindr to premiere new content, social media has definitely defined Madonna’s latest era. This time around, the innovator that she is, the 56-year-old icon picked video broadcast app Meerkat to debut her latest music video.

A post apocalyptic world is the backstage for “Ghosttown.” While exploring the devastated city, Madonna bumps into Empire’s Terrence Howard who’s been hunting her down. It appears they’re about to battle but instead they dance seductively with each other. The clip ends with them walking hand in hand with a boy in between them.

It’s a bit random but the video is beautifully shot. Madonna looks pretty fantastic in it. Check out the clip below and weigh in afterward.

madonna-cosmo-cover-anniversary

When it comes to Cosmopolitan celebrating anniversaries, Madonna is no stranger. The publication previously tapped the 56-year-old icon for its silver anniversary back in 1990. 25 years later, the Material Girl has once again received the call to be the glossy’s cover girl.

Madonna sits down with the publication to celebrate 50 years of power, provocation, and living that Cosmo-girl life. She posed for four collectible covers and an eye-catching editorial snapped by famed photographer Ellen von Unwerth.

For the accompanying interview, Madge chats about her career longevity, ageism, Internet haters and more. Check out a few quotes below along with more photos.

On Her Career Longevity

“Popularity comes and goes. You need to know who you are, what you stand for, and why you’re here.”
