Perhaps Lindsay Lohan isn’t giving lip service this time around. The 27-year-old actress is seemingly serious about getting her acting career back on track. She just notched another legit gig on her comeback tour.

The highly-anticipated Lindsay reality show finally premieres this Sunday, March 9 on OWN. I have to admit, I can’t wait. At this point, I’m really rooting for Lilo to finally get her act together and take her career seriously. If Oprah Winfrey can’t put her back on track, no one will. “You need to cut the bullsh*t, you really do,” admonishes the media mogul after producers complain of the 27-year-old’s no-shows and erratic behavior.

The documentary series follows media sensation Lindsay Lohan on her journey through recovery following a very public period of crisis. It promises to give an honest, no-holds-barred account, intimate and unflinching look into the life of the Mean Girls actress.

Cameras follow Lindsay as she returns to New York, reunites with friends and family, and attempts to build a new life. As she works to stay on track amid the demands (and pitfalls) of fame, she opens up as never before, discussing everything from her emotional recovery process to her exhausting run-ins with the paparazzi. Highlights From Jimmy Fallon’s First Tonight Show

In: Donovan, TV Shows

Whether Jimmy Fallon lasts as long Jay Leno or Johnny Carson’s tenure, one thing I’m certain of is he’ll definitely outlast Conan O’Brien’s stint. He’s made a serious of savvy moves including moving the show to New York City. I love the new vibe of the late night staple in the Big Apple. Don’t you agree?

Like Jay Leno’s classy good-bye, Fallon’s debut featured a slew of celebrities making surprise appearances. During a bit, Jimmy called out a friend who never thought he’d become the host of The Tonight Show. After putting his ‘buddy’ to task Robert De Niro popped out from backstage and slapped a $100 bill on his desk. The Raging Bull actor was immediately followed by Tina Fey and a parade of stars including Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Rudy Guiliani, Kim Kardashian, Tracy Morgan, Joe Namath, Seth Rogen, Lindsay Lohan, Joan Rivers, Mike Tyson, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Stephen Colbert. The latter dumped 1,000 pennies on Fallon and said, “Welcome to 11:30, BITCH!!!” Well said.

Another highlight from Fallon’s premiere featured his first official guest, Will Smith, perform the evolution of hip-hop dancing. The segment even showcased the famous Carlton dance from Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Check out both clips below.

The only thing missing from this mini-reunion is Janis Ian. Someone forgot to give Lizzy Caplan a call. Maybe she was too busy showing off her lesssssssbian paintings at an art show.

On Wednesday, Lindsay Lohan and Daniel Franzese meet up in New York City to reminisce and catch up. Daniel who? You may not know his real name but you’re definitely familiar with his Mean Girls alter ego. He was Lohan’s too-gay-too-function BFF Damian in the seminal teen flick. I wonder if the two met up specifically because Mean Girls is celebrating its tenth anniversary of release this year.

Whatever the reason, seeing a pic of the two of them together makes me yearn for a full-out reunion of The Plastics and all their minions. Check out the Instagram picture Lohan took of them together below. She included the following caption, “@whatsupdanny #soquiche #werknyc ♥”

Lindsay Lohan Announces Next Project At Sundance

In: Donovan, Movies

With an OWN film crew in tow, Lindsay Lohan traveled to Park City, Utah to attend the Sundance Film Festival. The 27-year-old held a press conference announcing her next project. Not only will she star in the psychological thriller, Inconceivable, but she’ll also produce it. Few details about the plot were revealed except that it follows a woman trying to reclaim something she lost. Fingers crossed this fares better than her most recent film, The Canyons, which earned Lilo her umpteenth Razzie nomination. Curious to know how this film got funded?

“The money was very easy because Lindsay is still considered a star among independent financiers,” Emmett/Furla Films chief executive Randall Emmett said about the $5 million film. “I went to the insurance company and they met with Lindsay,” he continued. “They put a policy in place where everybody worked together to make it happen. It was actually easier than you might think.”

2014 Razzie Nominations: Grown Ups 2 Lead The Pack

In: Donovan, Movies

A day before the Academy Awards reveal their nominations for the best in cinema the past year, we learn the worst. The Golden Raspberry Award aka the Razzies are here to remind Hollywood to “own their bad” for some truly awful films and performances. Leading the pack with a whopping eight nominations is Adam Sandler’s ensemble comedy, Grown Ups 2. Following close behind with six nods a piece are After Earth, A Madea Christmas and Movie 43.

Sandler who’s won “Worst Actor” honors the past two years for Jack and Jill & Just Go with It (2011) and That’s My Boy (2012) is going for an unprecedented consecutive third win for his lead role in Grown Ups 2. A couple of years ago, Adam also picked up “Worst Actress” for Jack and Jill. That film made history by winning a record 10 awards that year.

Earning their first ever Razzie nod are some of the silver screen’s most recognizable luminaries, including past Oscar nominees Johnny Depp and Naomi Watts. Jaden Smith, Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez also broke their Razzie cherry this year. On the complete opposite spectrum, Sylvester Stallone earns his staggering 31st nomination. The Razzies will be held on March 1, the day before the Academy Awards hand out the Oscars. Check out all the dishonorable nominations below.

Mark your calendars everyone. March 9 is the day, Lindsay Lohan’s reality show debuts on OWN. Simply titled Lindsay, the docu-series follows Lilo on her journey through recovery following a very public period of crisis. Emmy-nominated filmmaker Amy Rice (By the People: The Election of Barack Obama & The Newsroom) directs the project and it promises a honest, no-holds-barred account, on Lohan’s life post-rehab.

“Having had her career and personal life sidelined by her public struggles, Lindsay is strikingly candid about her life and is more determined than ever to get back on her feet,” states the press release, adding, “viewers will see an intimate, unflinching look into the life of one of the world’s most sought-after celebrities. Cameras follow Lindsay as she returns to New York, reunites with friends and family, and attempts to build a new life. As she works to stay on track amid the demands (and pitfalls) of fame, she opens up as never before, discussing everything from her emotional recovery process to her exhausting run-ins with the paparazzi.”

Based on early buzz after a teaser was shown at the TCA winter press tour, Lindsay is must-see television. Reportedly, there are scenes where Sheri Salata complains to Winfrey about Lohan shutting out the crew. UH OH Lindsay, don’t mess with the O. I can’t wait. Check out what other reality offerings Winfrey has up her sleeves in the Spring. The urban Sex and the City reality show looks promising. Read about it below and more.

Before he became a star in his own right, Chris Pine was best known for being that piece of eye candy used as a love interest for young Hollywood starlets. He appeared in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and Just My Luck with Anne Hathaway and Lindsay Lohan respectively. With regards to the 2006 rom-com with LiLo, here’s what he had to say about his experience filming the movie.

“It was a real cyclone of insanity, like being around The Beatles. It was fascinating to watch, and in hindsight it’s really a distinct moment in someone’s life when you see what’s really wonderful about what we get to do and what’s really dangerous about it.” - Chris Pine

I can only imagine how crazy it was. That was during the peak of Lilo’s career. She was paid a whopping $7.5 million to star in the screwball disaster.

The 33-year-old actor has certainly come a long way since then. Not only does he have one lucrative franchise under his belt (Star Trek), he’s launching a potential new one in a couple of weeks, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. He’s the fourth actor to play the iconic character created by the late Tom Clancy. Alec Baldwin (The Hunt for Red October), Harrison Ford (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger) and Ben Affleck (The Sum of All Fear) previously played Jack Ryan.
