Kanye West visited Jimmy Kimmel last night to squash their “epic” two week “rap feud.” Even though both maintained that the entire thing wasn’t a publicity stunt or staged, I still call BS. Perhaps not on Kimmel’s part, but the Twitter insults from West’s end reek of a Kardashian antic. Don’t you agree?
In honor of Kanye’s appearance, Jimmy resurrected his Mean Tweets segment. This time only featuring musicians. Watch the likes of Selena Gomez, John Legend, Pharrell, John Mayer,Adam Levine, the Backstreet Boys and Ke$ha read unflattering Tweets about themselves from their respective haters. The insults directed at country artists like Darius Rucker, Brad Paisley and Lady Antebellum are the best. Check out the music edition below.
She may not be one of my favorite people in the world, but if I ever get an invite for one of Paris Hilton’s parties, I’m going. Girlfriend knows how to throw a bash. At least her music video director for “Good Time” does. The accompanying visual definitely lives up to its title.
“It was amazing, we had a great time,” Hilton said of shooting the video. “The set was so much fun, we had so many interesting things happening and I loved all the wardrobe, there were so many gorgeous outfits. It was just a party all day long.”
The 32-year-old socialite dons a parade of bathing suits while hanging out poolside with a bunch of buff men in Speedos. My kind of bash. The clip features a couple of cameos including Lil Wayne and Kryoman. Who is Kryoman? He’s a 10-foot-tall robot who’s performed with the biggest DJs in the world including David Guetta, Avicii and Calvin Harris. In the clip, he sprays CO2 canisters at Paris’ friends.
“Good Time” is the lead cut off Hilton’s forthcoming untitled album due out in early 2014. It’ll feature other collaborations including with RedOne, Snoop Dogg and Flo Rida. Check out the music clip below.
Paris Hilton disappointed her fans this week by revealing she was delaying the premiere of her “Good Time” music video by a week. Not wanting to completely leave her worshipers hanging, the socialite heiress dropped an extended video teaser. With almost a minute-long preview, I’m not sure why she just didn’t release the entire thing. I’m speculating the delay had something to do with not wanting to go up against Britney Spears. Wise choice given that Brit’s “Work Bitch” clip is flawless. Dancing Brit is back ya’ll.
In addition to an extended look, Hilton unveiled the single’s artwork. She cloned herself not twice nor three times, but six for the the kaleidoscope-looking cover. I have to say, I’m somewhat diggin’ the photo. Sure, she looks a little vapid and dead in the eyes, but it kinda works for her. Check out the longer clip preview below.
It’s true what they say. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Not saying that I’m fond of Paris Hilton, but I don’t convulse with just the mention of her name anymore. That’s a huge step from years ago when I couldn’t stand the beyotch and just wanted her to go away.
Sure, she had a misstep against the gays in the past, but she apologized so I’m all good. Everyone’s had verbal diarrhea and said things they’ve regretted. I’m just not stupid enough to have someone tape them ;)
Anyhoo, the 32-year-old reality star is returning to music after a brief stint as an international party DJ. Hilton, the tease that she is, dropped a fifteen second preview of her new single, “Good Time.” She even enlisted her label boss Lil Wayne to make a cameo and contribute to the track. If her new song is half as good as “Stars Are Blind,” consider this my new guilty pleasure of the year. Check out the preview below.
First she topped Maxim’s Hottest Women list and now this. While Miley Cyrus is no angel, labeling her the worst female celebrity role model is a tad unwarranted, especially given the trainwrecks out there like Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Bynes, Farrah Abraham and so forth. Sure Cyrus is a bit wild, but she’s been with the same guy for years, hasn’t been in and out of rehab, been arrested or doing porn like the aforementioned ladies.
Apparently, the parents taking part in a survey conducted by CouponCodes4U disagree with me. Miley along with Chris Brown top the worst female and male celebrity role model lists respectively. PS. Brown definitely deserves his title and then some.
Also making the list is the Kardashian clan. While Khloe didn’t make the cut, Kim and her baby daddy Kanye West, Kourtney and Bruce Jenner were singled out. Bruce Jenner, really??? Why him? I don’t watch their E! show so I’m not sure why he’s being called out.
What I find fascinating about the survey is that most of the women are relatively young and in their 20s while only Justin Bieber and Brown are the only two under the age of 30. Interesting, don’t you think? Check out who else landed on the lists.
France has David Guetta. Scotland gave birth to Calvin Harris. Canada was responsible for unleashing deadmau5 to the world and Sweden’s contribution to EDM, obviously is Swedish House Mafia. Australia is now in the game with the duo Stafford Brothers.
When Patrick first wrote about the track, I was on the fence due to Lil Wayne’s rap interlude. I found it not only unnecessary but disrupting to the track’s vibe. I suppose the rapper was added, along with Christina Milian, to give the track more exposure. After all, all three acts are signed to Cash Money Records– the new home of Paris Hilton’s recording career ;)
The DJ’ing family recently premiered the music video for their collaboration with the “Dip It Low” singer. After seeing the clip for “Hello,” I’m a fan. What can I say, I’m a visual person. Watch as Christina picks up one of the Stafford brothers (the cute one) but later regrets it due to his wandering eye (and hands). It’s your typical crazy house party video but with Australian touches in the form of kangaroos and the country’s national colors. Enjoy.
Not too long ago, the remix for will.i.am and Britney Spears‘ “Scream and Shout” track came out featuring Diddy, Lil Wayne, Waka Flocka Flame, and Hit Boy. Today, the music video was released and we’ve got your first look below.
I don’t hate the remix, but I don’t love it either. I feel the same way about the music video. That being said, it’s always fun to see so many artists in one music video (seemingly) together at the same time, and of course with Britney Spears in it, I had to watch it at least once. I love the gangsta-style Britney in this video and I guess the way they filmed it gave each of the artists in the collaboration some time to shine.
Watch the video below and share your thoughts on both the song and the new music video in the comments.
The official remix for Will.i.am and Britney Spears‘ “Scream & Shout” song leaked over the weekend and we’ve got it for you to listen to below. The remixed song from producer Hit Boy features Lil Wayne, Waka Flocka Flame, and Diddy.
After the song leaked, Britney Spears tweeted, “I don’t think the world is ready” and then started to tease fans that she was on set working on the music video. “I’m on set shooting the #ScreamandShoutRemixVideo @iamwill @Hit_Boy @iamdiddy @WakaFlockaBSM @LilTunechi redefining remix.” Will.i.am joined in the conversation by adding, “@britneyspears I don’t think the clubs are ready, I don’t think the speakers are ready for the 808’s…I agree with you…#getREADY”. I will say that the remix is totally not what I expected, but definitely falls in line with the comeback of hip hop.
Give the remix a listen below and share your thoughts in the comments on if you like it or not. Can’t wait to see the music video for this!
