If you haven’t noticed yet, the promotional train for Game of Thrones is in overdrive. With a month to go until the Season 5 premiere, HBO is making sure everyone knows the fantasy drama is back on April 12.
Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Maisie Williams each grace their own separate cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. The magazine traveled with the cast and crew to three countries and spent ten days on set to give a preview of what’s to come this upcoming season. Don’t worry, it’s all spoiler free.
“Worlds are colliding,” showrunner David Benioff, said to EW.com. “One of the things we’ve been most excited about from the beginning of the series is we’ve had all these far-flung story lines across Westeros and Essos which almost never cross. Now some of these characters start to head on a collision course for each other.”
In addition to issuing four collectible covers, the publication devoted an unprecedented 30 pages exploring the past, present and future of the HBO series. This issue is a must-have for any hardcore fan. Check out the other covers snapped by photographer Marc Hom below.
Season 5 of Game of Thrones is just around the corner. Who else is counting the days???
In anticipation of its April 12 premiere, GQ Australia put two of the fantasy drama’s hot male stars on the cover of its March/April 2015 issue. Both Kit Harington and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau smolder in their respective pictures.
If the images look familiar, you’re very perceptive. Harington’s was first shown on last year’s GQ Style Bible and Coster-Waldau’s pics were from GQ Espana’s Feb 2015 issue according to thefashionisto.com.
I don’t blame the publication for recycling the photos from previous editions. Both look fine as hell. But which stud is hotter? Sound off below in the comments section.
Without a doubt, Kit Harington’s abs were the star of the first Pompeii teaser. Now it’s his gorgeous curly locks that I find hypnotic. Even as Mount Vesuvius is blowing her top off, his mane looks fantastic. Not even all of Mother Nature’s power could make it look awful. I would kill for that beautiful head of hair. Enough about my hair obsession.
The first full-length trailer for the historical epic has just been released. Set in 79 A.D., the film tells the story of the residents of Pompeii before the molten fires consume them all. Naturally, since it’s a big-budget Hollywood flick, there is a love story that’s front and center. Harington plays a slave-turned-gladiator named Milo who falls in love with a noblewoman played by Emily Browning. Will he get the girl? Probably, but only for a few moments before the volcano erupts burying them in a pile of ash and pumice.
Pompeii also stars Kiefer Sutherland, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Jared Harris. It opens in theaters February 21, 2014. Check out the trailer below.
Kit Harington, where have you been all my life. With the curly long hair and puppy dog eyes, I’m not sure why I haven’t jumped on the Game of Thrones bandwagon yet. With a huge film, Pompeii, coming soon, Harington is poised to be the next big movie star. If he continues with sexy editorials like the one in the Autumn issue of Wonderland, the 26-year-old English actor will undoubtedly achieve that.
Not to take anything away from the steamy editorial snapped by photographer Cuneyt Akeroglu, but it’s the behind the scenes video captured by Sharna Osborne that’s really working me over. The vision of that drenched white tee clinging onto Kit’s well-defined chest is everything. Check out the clip below. You’ll be thankful you did.
No wonder Mount Vesuvius erupted. The volcanic mountain that destroyed Pompeii clearly saw Kit Harington in his shirtless glory wearing only a gladiator skirt. It’s a shame Harington is mostly covered up in Games of Thrones. The HBO show needs to have Jon Snow in more revealing clothing stat.
The first teaser trailer for Pompeii has made its way online. The film centers around the ancient Roman town-city near modern Naples that was mostly destroyed and buried under 13 to 20 feet of ash following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Naturally, you need a romance in the mix. Cue Harington who plays a slave who falls for a young maiden in the form of Emily Browning.
Pompeii also stars Kiefer Sutherland, Carrie-Ann Moss, Jared Harris, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Jessica Lucas. It will hit theaters in February 2014. Check out the first trailer below, along with a full pic of Kit shirtless.
Last week, HBO released the first official poster for Season 3 of Game of Thrones. That artwork simply featured a dragon’s shadow, show title and premiere date. Side note: I was walking with Nic and a few friends in Santa Monica when we stumbled upon a bus with the image. For some reason Nic kept turning his head around. He was looking for what was casting the dragon shadow on the bus. LOL. Clearly someone was still drunk from the previous night ;)
The network just released a slew of new images to promote the March 31 premiere. The 12 character posters will launch outdoor and print next week, but you can check all of them out below. I have to say, even though the images are meant to be haunting, a few of guys look super sexy. Most notably Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and Richard Madden (Robb Stark). Their scruffy looks put me over the edge. Check them all out below.
