No matter who you are, regardless of star status, everyone has their fair share of fans and haters. Celebrities just have more than most. Star magazine compiled a list of twenty celebrities who have more people loathing them, than adoring them. Check out which controversial singers, self-promoting reality TV stars and pretentious actors made the list.
Naturally, Chris Brown made the cut. Ever since assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009, he’s been on many people’s hit list. His seemingly lack of remorse and douchey attitude hasn’t helped redeem his image. Surprisingly, the R&B singer lands at No. 20. Believe it or not, there are 19 other personalities more hated than him.
Kim Kardashian, whom I loathe, and mom-ager Kris Jenner only placed at 11th and 10th respectively. Anne Hathaway with her perceived faux humility and humbleness during the Oscar awards season earned her a No. 9 slot. Not even cheating Kristen Stewart with her surly and less-than-thrilled expressions snagged the top spot. She came up short in the runner-up slot. Find out who the “Most Hated Celebrity In Hollywood” is below and the rest of the Top 20.
There used to be a time when Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler could do no wrong at the box office. No matter what vehicle they starred in, it would undoubtedly become a bona fide blockbuster. But as they say, nothing lasts forever. The two veteran comedy actors find themselves on a list that no Hollywood actor wants to be on. To quote one of Murphy’s movies, I’m sure he wants to be Trading Places with anyone else right now.
Also landing on the list are one-time rom-com queens Katherine Heigl and Sandra Bullock. All it takes is one box office bomb to bring down their dollar return average. Each lady had exactly that with One For The Money and All About Steve respectively. You can also add Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close to Bullock’s less-than-stellar grosses. Find out below who ranks No. 1 on the list with a return of $2.30 for every dollar they were paid.
The upcoming film “The Big Wedding” definitely boasts an epic ensemble cast. But, as has been proven before, having heavy hitters in your film doesn’t necessarily mean a big hit at the box office. Will the case be different for this romantic comedy? The film stars Robert De Niro, Susan Surandon, Amanda Seyfried, Topher Grace and Katherine Heigl just to name a few. So what is this film all about?
Directed Justin Zackham, the writer and director of “The Bucket List, the film centers around Don (De Niro) and Ellie (Keaton), a long divorced couple who are forced to pretend they are still happily married for their son’s wedding. Amongst their friends and family, the film takes many comedic twists and turns as the hoax continues throughout the day. The film is set for release on my birthday (yipee) on October 26. Check out the newly released trailer below.
Katherine Heigl has launched her campaign to help save the world… by eliminating testicles. That’s right, in this new Funny or Die video, she explains why she hates them and wants to get rid of them one by one (or two by two). The actress goes as far as to make a list of pros and cons to testicles. Here are a few of the ones she lists: Jiggly, look awful shaved, look awful not shaved, size fluctuates unpredictably, seems like an anatomical mistake, Muppet-like, and so on.
Fortunately for men and unfortunately for Heigl, she isn’t able to neuter men… yet, so instead she has focussed her efforts on ensure that pets get neutered. Sidenote, the hottie in the underwear who’s penis Heigl talks to in the video is actor Derek Theler, whom you may recognize from 90210 and Conan, among other projects.
Reunited and it feels so good. The following stories have very little in common besides the fact they involve a reunion of fan favorites from each of the aforementioned shows. Who doesn’t love a good reunification, right? Without beating around the bush, let’s get to the task at hand.
Jillian Michaels left “The Biggest Loser” last season and it hasn’t been the same since. I’m not the only one who thinks so. The ratings have plummeted for the reality competition for Season 12. Apparently, a beautiful blond tennis vixen didn’t fill the void left by Jillian. Poor Anna Kournikova. She and her tough-love approach won’t be back for next season. Now, she’ll have more time to reminisce about all her Grand Slam singles title wins. Ooops, I forgot she never won one. My bad.
For those longing for the days of Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper, you can get your fill this Thursday. The two will reunite for the first time since “The Biggest Loser” on Jillian’s new gig on “The Doctors“. The two personal trainers will show viewers how to use CrossFit to get your body back in shape. Harper will pit Jillian against Dr. Travis Stork for the ultimate in-studio strength and endurance fitness challenge. Be sure to catch all the action on Thursday, November 17 (check your local listings).
No, you don’t have to keep rubbing your eyes. That is American Idol judge Steven Tyler above immortalized as a famous Cabbage Patch Doll. And no, this isn’t a new Steven Tyler/Aerosmith merchandise scheme, but a new auction for charity; the Children’s Action Network to be exact. “CAN” is a national adoption awareness organization, which find homes for kids in the US who are in foster care.
Jakks Pacific, the makers of some of the most popular toys out there have created five celebrity dolls to be auctioned off on eBay to benefit the aforementioned charity. The auction began today and will run until November 17. The auction is to help raise awareness and funds for National Adoption Month of November. Former Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl has also been turned into a Cabbage Patch kid. This cause is very close to her heart.
“I’m excited to be part of this auction to raise money and awareness for foster children. Adoption is a cause very close to my heart as I have an adopted older sister and an adopted daughter. This auction is important to show the world how many adoptable kids are in great need for stable and loving homes.”
Other celebrities taking part are Al Roker, Broadway baby and television star Kristin Chenoweth and Disney channel and child star Raven Symone. Al Roker stated, “as a father, there is no difference between a biological child and an adopted one, Being a part of this auction is very meaningful to me as I have an adopted daughter and grew up with adopted siblings. Check out the celebrity dolls up for auction below.
“New Year’s Eve” is a sequel to the hit holiday movie, “Valentine’s Day” and it takes place in New Yorks City. We follow several characters, as it all leads up to midnight and they “kiss last year goodbye”. Although it’s a sequel, any of the cast that was in the last movie will play a different character in this one, so you definitely don’t have to see the first one to watch this. Below is a list of the star studded cast.
Starring: Zac Efron, Lea Michele, Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Seth Meyers, Robert De Niro, Hilary Swank, Katherine Heigl, Sofia Vergara, Josh Duhamel, Jon Bon Jovi, Sarah Jessica Parker, Abigail Breslin, Ice Cube, Alyssa Milano, Sienna Miller, Ryan Seacrest, and even the actress who does the voice of Lisa on the Simpsons, Yeardley Smith.
Back in January, it was announced that Halle Berry, who had been originally cast as a caterer, dropped out of the film because of a custody battle over her daughter and she was replaced by Katherine Heigl. Later in February, Berry had rejoined the film in a different role as a nurse. The film hits theatres on December 9th. Get a sneak peak below!
I’ll admit it. I don’t seek out rom-com’s, and I’m not a connoisseur of the chick flick genre, but when I watch one that’s good, I GET that it’s good. Because really, how hard is it to write a script with such a set formula. You’d think Hollywood would have it down to a science by now. Life As We Know It proved that Hollywood does not, in fact, have the rom-com down to a science.
Katherine Heigl stars as the uptight small business owner not necessarily looking for love, and Josh Duhamel plays the jocky woman’s man always looking for….”love”….
The story goes, they have mutual couple friends (one of which is the epic Christina Hendricks of Mad Men fame), and years previous they were set up on a blind date by said couple, and hated each other so much that they didn’t even make it out of the driveway. Fast forward years later and through the magic of a montage during the credits, we find that they’ve had no choice but to tolerate each other. Said couple gets into fatal car crash, and the uptight business woman and womanizing jock are left with couple’s baby girl, and a beautiful house in which they’re told to live in it and try raising the child. It has all the components to be a lovely little 90 minutes of fun.
