The Hills, creator of the monstrous Speidi, pinup girl Audrina, and spinoff show, The City, all comes to an end tonight with the series finale. The other day, MTV revealed the secrets behind the show that remained unknown until now on a special half hour segment called The Hills Revealed. I found it sooo interesting because it explained so many aspects of the show, and really show how everything came together. There was a lot of, “If this didn’t happen, then this person would have never been in the show, or the show never would have aired.” Little did these teens know the show would turn them into worldwide celebrities, some loved and some hated.

4. First off, it all starts with Stephen Colletti (pictured above on the far left). MTV first wanted film the show at Beverly Hills High, but after they declined to approve filming at the school, they moved to Laguna Beach. There they interviewed students to find the right cast. One name kept coming up. Stephen Colletti. Who was this guy? He was the guy everyone had a crush on. All the girls liked him. But, he was in a bit of a love triangle with Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari – both girls that hand’t auditioned for the show either. So, the MTV execs got a hold of Colletti, then sat down with Conrad, but the key would be if they could get Cavallari. She was on her way from Colorado. and as soon as they got to sit down with her, they knew they had “dynamite” as they put it. So, Laguna Beach began, which later led to The Hills.
Well it’s the Season Finale and unfortunately for us, in this episode there is still no sign of Stephanie Pratt or Holly Montag. Boo! I guess it will be pretty uneventful.
Stacie and Kristin are back in LA, after weekend away in Vegas. They’re at Kristin’s discussing the fact that the summer’s over and also that Kristin doesn’t think it’s gonna work out with Justin. That being said, Stacie thinks she should give Justin a chance.
Meanwhile, Spencer’s (The Villain as he likes to call himself in the media) is shooting hoops with Brody to pretend like they still even hang out. Low and behold, they are talking about baby stuff and Heidi’s sperm hijacking. For Brody, he says that Jayde is trying to take their relationship to the next level.
Out doing some shopping at Catherine Malandrino, Audrina is with Lo and she says she called Justin because she feels like she has to meet him one last time. Not a dinner or anything, just to say what she has to say. I guess because Audrina has no other ties or friends in the show anymore? Neither does Lo for that matter.
The Hills sixth season, and first season with Kristin Cavallari replacing Lauren Conrad, has come to an end tonight. We can only imagine what’s going to be planned to happen to our favorite characters next season. Here’s what we learned this season:
If you followed my recaps each week, you know that Donovan and I created a parody to accompany each and every episode this season as they aired. We mixed it up, making each spoof different from the last, to keep you on your toes. If you haven’t seen the videos, now’s your chance. Just a heads up…I play ALL the characters. That’s right, I’m Heidi AND Spencer at dinner. I’m Audrina AND Kristin in a cat fight. Holly dancing around drunk? Yep, did that too. They are meant to be super cheesy and over the top, but I try to stay true to some of the characteristics and personality traits that define each character. We event touch upon their “real life,” with Audrina’s Maxim shoot, Stephanie Pratt’s DUI, and Speidi’s book on how to be famous.
What was your favorite part of this season? What was your favorite parody? Which character do you want to see more of in the spoofs? Watch them again, or see them for the first time…

Well, here we go…Las Vegas, baby. The two bad girls, Kristin and Stacie make good on their word and head to Vegas for a little weekend getaway. They’re driving to their hotel and talking about the debauchery they plan on getting into when Kristin asks, “What are the chances of us both hooking up with someone?” I burst out laughing. Stacie says, ‘We’re not here to meet Mr. Right, we’re here to meet Mr. Right now.” Where did Stacie come from? She’s hilarious this episode so far.
Unimportant Scene: Spencer is hanging with Charlie, waiting for his car. Spencer started talking about his date night at home with Heidi from last episode, when they start talking about their fake conspiracy theory that Heidi is off of her fake birth control pill. Charlie insists that Spencer needs to watch her swallow her pills.
Now back to Vegas, the girls are checked into the Palazzo Hotel. Stacie & Kristin pop open some champagne and sort through their suitcase for what to wear. Stacie says, ” I need something that screams not a one night stand, but…maybe.” Ahahaha. Another awesome one liner for Stacie.
The episode starts off with Brody & Kristen out to lunch at Grub, reminiscing on old times (to prove to viewers that they have a past??) Kristin then brings up that Jayde had texted her and wants to meet up with Kristen to fight talk. Brody immediately says it doesn’t sound like a good idea. Kristin seems a little concerned that Brody is having second thoughts about ending it with Jayde.
Next, we find Heidi talking to Dr. Jordan Mansbacher, her Pschologist. Please make Heidi a normal person, please make Heidi a normal person. Well, that’s not the focus today. Like every other episode, the focus is babies, babies, babies. Heidi discusses the fact that Spencer doesn’t want kids and that she’s considering going off the pill and surprising him, rather than waiting for him to never decide to have the kids she thinks he wants (but doesn’t know yet). The doc says, “the decision has to be a rational decision, not a hormonal or emotional decision.” Duh, Heidi. You are not fit to be a mother.
It’s a night out with the boys, and Brody, Taylor, and Frankie are playing pool at Hollywood Billiards. Taylor brings up the fight, with Jayde and Kristin and Taylor and Frankie bring up the fact that he’s more fun with Kristen than when he was with Jayde. They tell Brody that he’s mean and sad when he’s around Jayde. Brody doesn’t really want to hear it.

While most people have types in the vein of rich guys, funny guys, surfing guys etc.., Kristin Cavallari definitely has a unique type of her own- dating Audrina Patridge’s ex-hookups. First the two reality enemies were fighting over the ever-so-charming Justin Bobby, now it looks like their already strained relationship will go through another round of catfights with this latest boy.
Reports have surfaced that Kristin was seen canoodling with Tal Cooperman last Thursday in Los Angeles during an ESPN party. Their open public of displays were also seen throughout the rest of the night at Nobu and in the VIP section of the club Voyeur. As with any juicy gossip, news spread fast and reached Audrina’s ears in record time. Surprisingly, she’s not upset- YEAH RIGHT- and thinks the whole situation is laughable. Audrina never “officially” dated Cooperman, co-owner of the DCMA Collective clothing line- but the two most definitely hooked up. According to sources, they remain friends- but for how long given this latest news.
“It’s brand new. They’re having a lot of fun enjoying getting to know each other better,” an insider revealed. “It’s not for the show. They hit it off and have been hanging out off-camera.” Yeah right, it’s not for the show. The producers seem like they’re working overtime to create “realistic drama” before the season finale. I’m tired of the whole Spiedi-baby drama and Jayde’s psychotic drunk shenanigans. This season has been lackluster at best and seems even more fake than previous seasons- and that’s saying a lot.
Okay I know this show is real fake real, but this season is getting A LOT worse – especially the Heidi & Spencer baby crap. They are like nails on a chalkboard to me. Since it’s fake, can they fake get them in a car accident so they aren’t on the show anymore? Anyway, as the episode begins, Kristin and Brody are at dinner. Now that Brody and Jayde are on a break, and Kristin & Justin are dunzo, Kristin’s going in for the kill. Brody asks what she’s gonna do now that Justin and her are through and Kristin replies, “Onto the next.” Kristin suggests, “Let’s do this again,” in reference to their date.
Next, Speidi scene about babies. Heidi wants babies. Spencer doens’t. Wow. This is the 7th episode, they’re still discussing this, and we’re supposed to think it’s interesting? The only way they’ll be interesting on this show again is if Holly tries to sleep with Spencer. Forget commercial breaks, whenever you see a scene with Speidi in it, feel free to go make yourself a snack in the kitchen.
Next, Audrina and Lo go to lunch so Audrina can talk about how she hasn’t learned anything and is planning on meeting up with Justin because she thinks they still have sparks.
Okay, don’t forget, as always, there is a Video Parody/Spoof in this recap, so be sure to check it out. Okay. So. Kristin’s & Brody are walking along the beach, and Brody tells Kristin that he and Jayde are on a break, paving the way for him to get into her pants in future episodes. Kristin says he’s more fun when she’s not around aka in bed (except that he is a little vanilla according to her).
The main event for this episode takes place at Speidi’s house. It’s Heidi’s birthday, and Princess Heidi wants Spencer to throw her a birthday party in their party house that she never wanted. Boy do these two drive me nuts.
Meanwhile, LO & Audrina are folding laundry and discuss that they’ve both received an invite for Heidi’s party, but Lo can’t make it. Audrina wants to go, so naturally they discuss if Kristin will be there and how that will be. Seriously. The Hills formula is: Birthday Party + Unwanted Guest = Episode. Repeat. Always a birthday party. Always a confrontation.
Then, Kristin and a clean shaven Justin are out for a drink. They too talk about Speidi’s party. and what it’d be like if Audrina was there. Justin wants to avoid any potential drama, so he says he won’t be going. Not much chemistry going on with these two. It’s a ticking time bomb.

As this episode starts off, Kristin & Stacie are at the the beach talking about having a beach party at Kristin’s. The talk about the guest list and the fact that Justin Bobby already has a strike one. Hmm. Party + Alcohol + Bitches = Drama. Looks like it’ll be a good episode.
Jayde & Brody have lunch and Brody’s telling Jayde about the party, which Jayde doesn’t want to go to. They’ve been fighting a lot lately, and Jayde seems to be very jealous of Brody around Kristin. Brody says he’s going with our without Jayded.
Heidi & Spencer are with Enzo, babysitting him. Ugh, these two are so boring now. They talk about Kristin’s party and the fact that Holly says she’s gonna go, considering her last drunken incident at Brent Bolthouse’s party.
Time for the partay at Kristin’s house in Malibu. Stephanie & Holly arrive, to Stacie and Kristin. Holly grabs a drink right away and it’s “Holly and Jack sittin’ in a tree”. Check out the video recap parody of the whole episode after the jump, as well as the entire written recap. Enjoy!
