Tonight, Canada rocked the corner of Queen and John in the heart of Toronto for the annual MuchMusic Video Awards aptly nicknamed the MMVAs. The night celebrates the best in Canadian music with a little bit of International flare. Joining the usual MuchMusic VJ’s on stage to present were Party Rockers LMFAO who kicked off the show with a bang. Joining them on stage was none other than Canada’s current it-girl, Carly Rae Jepsen.
Speaking of Carly Rae, home girl walked away with three awards throughout the evening including the biggest award of the night, Video of the Year. The night included some heavy hitting presenters like sexy men Chord Overstreet and Jesse Metcalfe along with appearances from Selena Gomez and Perez Hilton.
The night was also alive with performances from international stars Justin Bieber and Nelly Furtado who originally hail from Canada along with superstars Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry. Canadian talent was also represented well with performances from Hedley and Rock Video of the Year winners, Mariana’s Trench. Check out the evening’s rockin’ performances and winners’ circle below.
Next week, Beliebers all across the globe will be frantically awaiting the release of Justin Bieber’s new album “Believe.” After the few already released tracks and leaked snippets I’ve heard online, I have a feeling that this album is going to be pretty great! Not to mention the list of heavy collaborators like Nicki Minaj, Drake and Big Sean. Another notable change is Biebers voice and more mature sound in music and lyrics. There is no denying that Bieber is all grown up and he’s definitely going to let us know it.
While hitting the Plaza to perform for a slew of frenzied fans, Bieber began his multiple song set with the lead-off single from the album, “Boyfriend.” The dance break after the bridge has the crowd going nuts before finishing it off. Up next, Bieber takes it back and performs an oldie, but a goldie, “Baby.” This number has the whole crowd singing along. For his third performance, Justin took on his dance club track, “All Around The World” sans Ludacris. Too bad really considering that is really great part of the track. To finish it off, Bieber performed his latest album release, “As Long As You Love Me,” which serves a little bit of baby dubstep. Now, it may just be me but I’m pretty sure Bieber was either lip syncing most of that performance or his mic wasn’t turned on. You be the judge. Check out all four of Justin’s performance on the Today Show below.
Another Justin Bieber track called “Beauty and the Beat” has leaked and it is one of my favorites that I’ve heard from the album for sure. The upbeat song features Nicki Minaj and is from Bieber’s upcoming ‘Believe‘ album that is getting released on June 19.
In the song, Bieber sings, “We gonna party like it’s 3012 tonight / I wanna show you all the finer things in life / So just forget about the world, we young tonight / I’m coming for ya, I’m coming for ya cuz / All I need, is a beauty and a beat / Who can make my life complete.” It’s very catchy and dancefloor ready. Oh, and Minaj’s rap solo is quite hilarious as per usual. In one part she says, “Justin Bieber, you know i’mma hit ‘em with the ether, Buns out, weiner, but I gotta keep my eye out for Selen-er“.
Listen to the track below and share your thoughts. Is this one of your favorites so far as well? Enjoy!
Over the weekend, pretty much all of the biggest names in music right now performed at the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2012 at Wembley Stadium in London. You may recall that yesterday I posted a special DJ Earworm mashup of all of these songs & performers. If you haven’t checked it out the video and downloaded the song (free), you should.
With artists like Kelly Clarkson, Justin Bieber, The Wanted, Cheryl Cole, Usher, Carly Rae Jepsen, Connor Maynard and countless others, it was one epic concert that I would have loved to have been at.
I’ve compiled a bunch of the performances from many of the big artists that were there. Of course many performed multiple songs, but I decided to choose some of my favorites. Cheryl Cole’s, “Call My Name” performance was hot! Enjoy the videos below.
A while back, I wrote about this new track from Justin Bieber that hadn’t officially been released yet called “All Around The World“. Now, the song and cover art have just been released and I highly recommend adding it to your playlist. Bieber tweeted, “Im actually gonna get some rest tonight. u guys can #BIEBERBLAST early!! #ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD is OUT NOW on ITUNES!”
The song, which features Ludacris, is a much more grown up sound for Bieber and is much more upbeat than a lot of his other stuff. Think Usher and Chris Brown. In the chorus, Bieber sings, “All around the world / People want to be loved / all around the world / They’re no different than us.” It’s my favorite song that I’ve heard from his upcoming album and yes, I absolutely downloaded it from iTunes before writing this post.
The 18-year-old’s new album, ‘Believe’ comes out on June 19. If you haven’t heard or downloaded the track yet, do so below.
On Wednesday, Justin Bieber hit the stage in Oslo, Norway for a free show atop the Opera House roof. After the Biebs announced the show on his Twitter, it was only a matter of time before flocks of screaming girls were ready to be a part of the audience. Justin is currently touring overseas hitting seven countries in two weeks. This is all being filmed as part of an NBC special titled “All Around The World” which is set to air June 21.
The singer performed a slew of his hits but also treated fans to two new songs: “All Around The World” and “As Long As You Love Me” – not to be confused of course with the Backstreet Boys track of the same name.
In other Justin news, he recently had an altercation with a glass panel in Paris, France. While backstage during a quick change and crossover, the Biebs collided with a glass panel. The show was put on hold for a few minutes while Bieber recovered from the collision. After a quick rest and some water, he was good to continue on the with the show. He headed to his Twitter after the show to thank his fans for their support after word of the incident travelled fast on the interwebs. Check out a snippet of Justin’s performance from Oslo, Norway below.
This past weekend, Justin Bieber’s track “All Around The World” featuring Ludacris leaked on the web and fans of the Biebs were furious. I guess many are awaiting the albums full release before they are teased with new music. I however, was intrigued by the new dance track sound and have since been unable to stop listening to it. But, it’s not this pumping track that Bieber has revealed to be his next single. It will actually be the newly leaked audio for “Die In Your Arms.”
After hearing the dance floor anthem, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Justin on this track. My ears were once again shocked at the sound. The best way to describe the composition of this track is one part John Legend, one part Bruno Mars with a dash of Beyoncé. I know this may sound absolutely ridiculous upon a first read but honestly, he encompasses these three artists well on this more, R&B fused single.
The lyrics in the chorus ring out, “If I could just die in your arms | I wouldn’t mind cause every time you just touch I die in your arms | It feels so right, so baby baby please don’t stop girl!” The sound is definitely a lot more mature than we are used to hearing from the Biebs. I actually really like it and think now this Believe album could be quite the eclectic mix of genres showcasing Justin’s newfound versatility. Give the new single a listen below and tell us what you think in the comments below.
Justin Bieber has a song off of his upcoming ‘Believe‘ album that just leaked and I think you’re gonna love it – I sure do! The upbeat, dance floor-ready track is called “All Around The World” and features Ludacris (who he collaborated with on his first hit single “Baby”).
In the chorus, Bieber sings, “All around the world / People want to be loved / all around the world / They’re no different than us.” If this song is any indication of what we can expect from his album, it’s gonna be fantastic. “All Around The World” people will soon be dancing to this song.
Many hardcore fans are enraged that a song has leaked and refuse to listen to it. I can understand why Bieber’s crew would be angry, but for fans I think if anything it has just created more anticipation for what’s to come (in my opinion). If you need another reason to listen to it, it’s way better than “Boyfriend” and I didn’t even dislike that song. Check it out below while you can.
