December is my favorite time of year, and not just because of Christmas, New Year’s Eve and all the parties. The month also brings me one of my favorite annual television events… the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Yup, I love me some supermodels sashaying on a glittered runway in their bra, panties and bedazzled outfits. I’ve been a religious viewer for as long as they’ve been airing them. Last year brought the show their best Nielsen ratings since 2002. Coming off that success, I expect the 2012 show to be the most fabulous ever.
Every year, musical acts are brought in to provide some “live” singing interspersed with all the wicked mashups. Last year brought Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and Jay-Z. While Katy Perry and Akon, along with the Black Eyed Peas booked the gig for the 2010 and 2009 shows respectively. This year, the honor goes to Rihanna. The “We Found Love” singer is scheduled to perform at the upcoming event which will be taped in November and air on December 4, 2012 at 10pm on CBS. The Bajan beauty singer won’t be alone. She’ll be joined by two male solo acts as well. Care to make any guesses?
Last night, Justin Bieber hit the stage in Arizona for the debut of his Believe tour. Promised to be a rocking show with tons of dancing and crazy video interludes, fans were ready for the show of a lifetime. However, the Canadian popstar had a little situation on stage which caused the show to come to a screaming halt for a few minutes. What was the cause of the delay? Just a little throw up from Bieber himself.
After returning from his quick hiatus, the Biebs managed to finish the concert leaving the stage momentarily twice more without stopping the show, presumably to puke some more. Afterwards, the Biebs explained the cause for his sudden illness… MILK! Apparently, milk doesn’t do the body good. He tweeted to his followers, “Milk was a bad choice! Lol.” He continued on by saying, “Great show. Getting better for tomorrow’s show,” and posted a photo of him resting in bed. Watch the video below.
Last night, Dancing With The Stars kicked their all-star season off with a bang. The returning celebs didn’t hold anything back as they hit the ballroom to show the judges and America why they deserved to be back. Returning NFLer Emmitt Smith took the top score of the night while Pamela Anderson failed to impress the judges receiving he lowest score of the night. Will America’s votes completely flip the script.
For the first prolonged hour of tonight’s two-hour elimination episode, the couples were introduced individually with each star revealing why they returned to the show. YAWN! No one cares. The second hour finally kicked off with an impressive routine featuring the pros and this year’s troupe. You can watch it below if you missed it. Time for the first set of results of the night. Let’s meet the first four couples.

Will.i.am has a new album called #willpower that was supposed to be coming out next week, but it has since been delayed because he is angry about song leaks so he’s been writing new ones to replace them. He tweeted, “I’m trying to finish #willpower…& now because of all the leaks I have push the album back to make new songs…I will give you updates soon (sic). If you know anyone that knows the people responsible #stopthem (sic)”
This new song is called “You And Me” and it’s a collaboration with the one and only Justin Bieber. This isn’t the only collaboration on the album. Others include Rihanna, Nicole Scherzinger, and even one with Britney Spears! Anyway, this song features Justin Bieber (with him singing in the chorus). Not sure if this is one of the ones that will be replaced on the album.
The full album comes out on October 15. Check out the new track below.
It’s Britney, bitch. Or in this case, Brittany S. Pearce. Everyone’s favorite Cheerio has the enviable task of performing Spears’ dance hit “Hold It Against Me” for Glee’s second tribute episode to the pop singer. Brittany is accompanied by new HBIC cheerleader Kitty and the entire squad. They bust out some serious dance moves, complete with props being thrown. In the end, only one Cheerio will remain. Any guesses on who?
Since the first Spears-themed episode garnered the show’s second highest ratings ever, it only makes sense another hour-long show filled with The X Factor judge’s music was made. I’m sure FOX and Ryan Murphy have high hopes that “Britney 2.0” spike the Nielsen numbers once again.
Other Britney numbers being covered in the episode include “Gimme More“, “Oops!…I Did It Again“, “Womanizer“, “3” and “Everytime“. Two mashups featuring Brit’s songs will also air. Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” and ‘N Sync’s “U Drive Me Crazy” are mixed with Spears’ “Boys” and “(You Drive Me) Crazy” respectively.
You can also look forward to a few familiar faces showing up on this week’s episode. In terms of last year’s graduating students, both Puck and Santana make their Season 4 debut. Faculty members Principal Figgins and Emma Pillsbury also pop up for the first time since last season’s finale. Check out Brittany’s “Hold It Against Me” performance below.
Jimmy Kimmel Live has been on fire this year with some thoroughly entertaining content in my opinion. Just the other day, I posted about his awesome interview with Britney Spears and Simon Cowell on the premiere night of The X Factor Season 2 – definitely worth watching!
Last night, Jimmy Kimmel shared his segment of “This Week In Unnecessary Censorship” where celebrities and others fall victim to censors and bleeps that make them sound like they said something way dirtier than they did, or that they were doing something dirtier, as evident by the photo above.
Some of the celebrities that fell victim to this include Justin Bieber, Julie Chen, President Barack Obama, Novak Djokovic and more.
Up until now we’ve only seen promo posters, episode pics and extended scenes from the first couple of episodes of Glee‘s fourth season. At long last, we finally have tracks from “The New Rachel” and “Britney 2.0“. Halleloo!!! Gleeks were treated to five songs thanks to a listening party via Facebook.
On the season premiere, Darren Criss takes on Imagine Dragons‘ “It’s Time”, while New Directions tackles the Summer Song of 2012, Carly Rae Jepsen’s ubiquitous hit, “Call Me Maybe“. In her Glee debut, Kate Hudson performs a mashup of Jennifer Lopez’s “Dance Again” with Lady Gaga’s “Americano“. I hear her dancing is beyond amazing during the performance.
For the second Britney Spears-themed episode in the show’s history, Brittany (Heather Morris) covers the pop princess’ stripper anthem, “Gimme More“. Meanwhile, Blaine (Darren Criss) and Artie (Kevin McHale) take on a Justin Bieber/Britney mashup of “Boyfriend” and “Boys” respectively. Also in the episode is Rachel (Lea Michele) performing “Oops!… I Did It Again” and Brittany covering “Everytime“. Unfortunately, the audio for the latter two weren’t released yet, but everything else mentioned is embedded below. Enjoy.
That Carly Rae Jepsen reign just won’t let up. Her new album Kiss is due out shortly and I cannot wait. Just this past weekend, the entire tracklist was revealed and now, a preview of one of the upcoming tracks has been leaked online and features none other than Carly Rae’s musical knight in shining armor, Justin Bieber.
Considering that the Biebs was instrumental in bringing Jepsen down from Canada into the US and breaking her into super-stardom, it only makes sense that the two would collaborate for a duet on her upcoming disc. The track titled Beautiful shows Carly putting her electronic bubbly pop self on the shelf for a more acoustic and toned track channeling a little bit of Colbie Caillat. Check out the preview below.
