Jordan Roseman aka DJ Earworm released his first original track weeks ago, but today he returned to his bread and butter. His annual United State of Pop video mashup, highlighting the top hits of the year, is hands down my favorite. Typically, he chooses the top 25 tracks based off the Billboard charts. This year, he went a step further and mashed up the 50 biggest hits.

The five-minute masterpiece titled “50 Shades of Pop” is “more eclectic mix than it was five years ago,” Earworm explains to Billboard about the diversity of tunes that blew up the charts this year. With that being said, Taylor Swift has a whopping four tracks in the mix. Close behind is The Weekend with three. Other artists with multiple offerings are Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Fetty Wap, Meghan Trainor and Ed Sheeran.

He even made room for Adele’s massive late 2015 entry, “Hello.” If you hated this year’s song of the summer, fear not, OMI’s “Cheerleader” is only shown/heard briefly. Check out this year’s offering below. It’s his best one in recent memory.

Despite almost 15 years passing since Zoolander first hit theaters, interest in the film is still quite high. Paramount Pictures and Ben Stiller must be breathing a sigh of relief. The studio announced the Zoolander 2 trailer has broken the record to become the most successful comedy trailer launch of all time. Clearly, deciding to finally film a sequel was a good idea.

Reportedly, the first trailer generated a ridiculously good 52.2 million views in its first week of release. The previous record was held by another highly-anticipated sequel, Dumb and Dumber 2 which raked in 49 million views.

No doubt the controversy surrounding Benedict Cumberbatch’s character helped Zoolander 2. His androgynous character was criticized as “the modern equivalent of using blackface to represent a minority,” stated Sarah Rose who started a petition to boycott the film which so far has more than 14,000 signatures.

Zoolander 2 opens nationwide on Feb. 12, 2016. Check out the trailer below if you haven’t already seen it.

Both Justin Bieber and One Direction were in full promotional mode all last week for their respective new albums. After the dust settled, the Canadian singer beat out the boys from the UK. Purpose earned 649,000 equivalent album units (522,000 in pure album sales) during its first week. Meanwhile, 1D moved 459,000 units, 402,000 in pure album sales.

Not only his Purpose, the Bieb’s sixth No. 1 album, but it also represents his largest sales week ever. His previous best was Believe which sold 374,000 during its first week in 2012. Sadly though for Justin, he’ll only have a one-week reign. Adele is set to crush Billboard records when her numbers are tallied next week.

Speaking of records, Justin achieved a big one over on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Find out below.

Heading into the 43rd annual American Music Awards, The Weeknd and Taylor Swift led the pack with six nominations apiece. The “Hills” singer walked away with two awards while the “Blank Space” chanteuse snagged three statues. Other multiple winners of the night were One Direction, Nicki Minaj and Florida Georgia Line.

As with most music awards show, the telecast was all about the performances. Jennifer Lopez kicked the night off by performing a slowed-down version of her hit “Waiting For Tonight” before pulling an insane dance routine to a mashup featuring the year’s biggest hits. Girl slayed it and then some.

Other memorable performances were Demi Lovato joining Alanis Morissette on “You Oughta Know,” Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor making out to “Marvin Gaye,” Ariana Grande performing “Focus” without her signature high ponytail, Pentatonix with their Star Wars tribute and Nick Jonas and Justin Bieber each singing a medley of their hits. By far though, the emotional high point was Celine Dion’s tribute to Paris. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Check out all the performances below and share your thoughts on your favorite AMA moment.

The first trailer for 2oolander aka Zoolander 2 has arrived. And it’s as fantastic as you’d hoped it’d be. From the looks of it, the storyline doesn’t deviate too far from its predecessor. Ben Stiller is as dimwitted as ever. The only difference is he’s no longer a top male model since he’s not a spring chicken anymore.

When an Interpol agent played by Penelope Cruz enlists his help to infiltrate the fashion industry for a secret mission, he’s ecstatic he can strut his stuff once again. Turns out, someone is killing all the beautiful people in the world and must be stopped.

Stiller, Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell return to reprise their iconic roles. Joining the stylish party for the first time are a whole host of famous faces including Kristen Wiig, Justin Bieber, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ariana Grande, Mika, Kylie Mooney, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Billy Zane. Justin Theroux who appeared in the first film as an evil DJ co-wrote the screenplay for the sequel.

2oolander sashays into theaters on February 12, 2016. Check out the first trailer below. Wiig, not surprisingly, steals the show.

Word of this “What Do You Mean?” remix first leaked a few weeks ago. Justin Bieber offered it up as a bonus track for those who pre-ordered his new album Purpose. With his fourth studio LP dropping tomorrow, the Ariana Grande-assisted version has finally surfaced online.

Truthfully, it’s a tad underwhelming. Grande isn’t featured as much as I’d expected or hoped. She sings a couple of lines and then ad libs for the rest of it. Give it a listen below and weigh in afterward.

When it comes to Purpose, I’m starting to sound like a broken record. It’s been nothing but praise from the get-go. I can’t help it. Everything Justin Bieber has shared so far, “What Do You Mean,” “Sorry” and “I’ll Show You,” has been fantastic.

“My new record is about growing, being in touch with yourself. What can I say, it’s life experiences, and knowing that you can and get back up and keep going” – Justin Bieber via USA Today

The 21-year-old continues with his winning streak by sharing a trio of new tracks off his fourth studio album, which is available November 13. My favorite among the bunch is the Ed Sheeran-penned “Love Yourself.” It’s just Bieber’s voice on display over an acoustic guitar arrangement. The Halsey-assisted “The Feeling” is also great.

Picking the next single to release will be a difficult one. Check out both tracks, along with “Madly In Love” below.

The Iceland Tourism Board should really consider hiring Justin Bieber. His latest music video puts the Nordic island country in such a great light. I’m tempted to book a plane ticket immediately and take in the breathtaking views for myself.

I’ll Show You” shows the 21-year-old Canadian hiking mountains, taking a glacier dip in his undies, skateboarding and even chasing waterfalls. Doesn’t he know that he should stick to the rivers and the lakes that he’s used to 😉

Rory Kramer directed the visual for the Skrillex-produced track. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Justin is on fire during his Purpose era. Musically speaking, everything is on point. There hasn’t been a bum note yet. Check out the video below.
