Had this been released a month ago, I have no doubt it’d be vying “One Dance” and “Can’t Stop The Feeling” by Drake and Justin Timberlake respectively, for 2016 “Song of the Summer” honors. With that being said, never underestimate the power of Justin Bieber. His late entry could just leave them all in the dust when Billboard crowns the winner in September.

The 22-year-old Canadian singer teams up with Major Lazer and MØ for “Cold Water.” As you’d expect from Major Lazer, it’s a summery offering, mixing both dancehall and club beats. It’s the first taste off Diplo’s electronic music band’s forthcoming new album, Music Is the Weapon. Give it a listen below.

No doubt you’ve seen Kanye West’s “Famous” music video where naked wax figures of Taylor Swift, George Bush, Kim Kardashian and more are all lying in a bed together post-coital. BBC Radio 1 attempts to parody the controversial clip featuring some of the hottest acts of today.

‘Attempt’ is definitely the operative word. Though cute at some points, their version is pretty half-assed. At the very least, they could’ve encouraged the guys to take off their shirts to give the illusion of being nude. It’s not like Justin Bieber or Nick Jonas are averse to showing off assets, right?

Check out the SFW “Famous” spoof below featuring Troye Siva, Meghan Trainor, Carly Rae Jepsen, Craig David, Cheryl, Ant & Dec, 5 Seconds of Summer and the aforementioned Bieber and Jonas. Trainor kinda steals the spotlight with her amusing bit.

The Golden State Warriors weren’t the only ones who got their asses kicked in Cleveland last night. Justin Bieber did as well. The 22-year-old singer got into a huge physical altercation.

Remember David and Goliath? Yeah, that’s not what happened here. In a video obtained by TMZ, The Biebs is shown in a heated exchange with a man double his size outside his hotel in downtown Cleveland. Beiber was in town to watch game three of the NBA Finals.

Details about what started the scrap are still unclear, but one thing is for sure. Justin was no match. After Beiber threw a punch at the man’s face, the man swiftly took the “Sorry” singer to the ground. Until more information leaks about the situation, check out a slo-motion clip below of the street brawl.

Justin Bieber Releases ‘Company’ Music Video

In: Donovan, Music

Normally, I balk at artists who try to pass off concert footage as their new music video. This is one of those instances where I actually don’t mind the lazy route. Partially because “Company” is one of my favorite cuts off Purpose and stoked it’s finally getting an official single release push.

The Rory Kramer-directed visual gives a glimpse into the hectic world of the 22-year-old “Sorry” singer. From prepping backstage at his Purpose World Tour, checking out the local sights at his concert stops, hanging out with friends or posing in Calvins for his now infamous CK campaign, Bieber is definitely one busy boy. There’s even footage of those now-canceled meet-and-greets with his fans.

Check out the music video below. If you prefer clips filled with slick choreography, I also embedded the “Company” Movement video released several months ago. They also did those sensational clips for “Sorry” and “Love Yourself.” Dare I say Justin’s videos are better when he’s not in them 😉

It’s still early, but “One Dance” by Drake is an early contender for “Song of the Summer” honors. It’s had a stronghold grip on Billboard Hot 100’s No. 1 slot for weeks now plus it’s practically inescapable. I can’t go anywhere without hearing it playing in the background.

Justin Bieber is just the latest artist to put his own spin on the tropical house-tinged chart-topper. Shawn Mendes and Gorgon City are just a couple who have as well. The Bieb’s version, though, is an official one. It made its debut a Formula 1 party in Monaco at 1 OAK last weekend. The full version has just been released.

Drake did the honors himself by sharing the track on OVO Sound Radio show on Beats 1. The Canadian rapper also shared two new tracks- “4PM in Calabasas” and “Back On The Road.” The latter features Gucci Mane who was just released from jail last week. Check out all three below.

If you shelled out $2000 for The Ultimate #Purpose Experience on Justin Bieber’s tour, this piece of news might be heartbreaking. The special package, which included a behind-the-scenes tour backstage and prime spots in a barricaded section closest to the stage to watch the Biebs, will no longer include Meet & Greets. In other words, no selfies with the “Sorry” singer.

Justin took to Instagram to announce the cancellation of all future meet and greets on the Purpose Tour. He explains that he was “mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression” after meeting his fans.

However, according to TMZ, the real reason is due to security concerns. Apparently, an obsessed fan who’s on a security watch list was able to get within ten feet of Justin during one of his LA shows.

While I don’t doubt his safety played a part in the cancellation, based on some of the photos fans posted during the meet and greets, I don’t think his heart was into them. He looks checked out and over it. To boot, the entire set-up looked a little budget. There doesn’t seem to be proper lighting or a professional photographer to capture the moment.

Check out Bieber’s entire announcement below, along with a few fan selfie pics with the singer.

Work, work, work, work, work, work!!! That’s exactly what Rihanna‘s latest single is doing. “Work” continues to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 for a fifth straight week. Expect her run on top to last a bit longer. It doesn’t appear to be slowing down in the near future.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande notches her seventh Top 10 hit with “Dangerous Woman.” She becomes the first artist in the chart’s 57-year-history to debut in the top 10 with the lead single from each of her first three albums. Not too shabby.

Elsewhere on the chart, “7 Years,” by Lukas Graham pushes to No. 3. The single by the Danish pop band was a worldwide hit late last year and has finally done the same in North America. Check out this week’s Top 10 below.

Adam Samberg and his comedy group, The Lonely Island, are targeting a huge popstar for their first feature film. And brilliantly I might add. Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping looks hilarious and appears to be a must-see movie this summer.

In the mockumentary, Samberg plays a singer/rapper named Conner4Real, obviously based on Justin Bieber and his 2011 concert film, Never Say Never. He even names his fans, the Connfidants. Just like The Biebs, Connor faces a crisis of popularity after an album flops, leaving his fans, sycophants and rivals all wondering what to do when he’s no longer the dopest star of all.

The Judd Apatow-directed film boasts a bunch of cameos including Adam Levine, Carrie Underwood, Simon Cowell, Usher, Pink, Seal, Snoop Dogg and a whack of Saturday Night Live alums. Question is, will Justin be a good sport and make a surprise appearance in the film? Fingers crossed.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping arrives in theaters on June 3. Check out the hilarious trailer below.
